Our stay at the Modern Downtown Getaway was wonderful. We had trouble checking into the property (our fault) but the property owner was very responsive and helpful. The property was very clean and worked well for our family of four plus a small dog. We loved the neighborhood and felt very safe walking around at night. The older townhome was rehabbed beautifully. Great kitchen and three lovely bathrooms.

My sweetheart is a gourmet cook and he was most impressed with your kitchen EXCEPT he likes gas stoves. The under counter lighting added such luster to the room.

Ideal spot for St. Louis weekend

This was a perfect stay for our mini spring break getaway to St. Louis. Ideally located near all the good stuff, we didn’t waste time driving and had more time to enjoy all of our favorite sites. The home was comfortable and the decor made it feel more vacation-like with the emphasis on St. Louis landmarks and teams (ahem, go Cubs!). Very clean and all the things we needed for a comfortable stay.

St Louis Family Vaca

Very clean, perfect accommodations, and immediate response from host. We had 8 of us, ranging from 10yrs old to 45yrs old. This place was perfect for us all.

35 th Annual Gumbo Day !

We met the owners who were very friendly and hospitable-they are rightly proud of their beautiful spaces! The kitchen is so well-equipped and they have so many welcoming touches.. The rooms upstairs are very well-appointed and comfortable.

Great stay

The house is cute and comfortable. Hosts were fantastic (responsive, friendly, and accommodating). We mostly ate at the house because the kitchen was well-stocked (the s'mores maker was a huge hit), but also had great meals at Have a Cow and Bailey's Range, whose menus were in a drawer at the house. Neighborhood was nice and felt very safe.

A visit in St. Louis

The property was well appointed and very comfortable. With 3 bedrooms and 3 baths it was perfect for the 3 couples traveling together. We had a couple questions and Devin was very prompt to respond. We would highly recommend this property.

Family holiday vacation

Our family meet in St Louis for a holiday vacation. This home was a great place where we all stayed together. It worked well for all the places we wanted to visit. The kitchen had supplies so we could prepare several of our meals before/after our activities. If we are in the area again we would choose to stay here.

Clean and spacious

Our family of 4 stayed the week of July 4 and enjoyed the house. There was plenty of rooms and bathrooms plus a large kitchen. The Shaw neighborhood was also nice and close to a ton of things. We had some issues with the lock, but Devin was quick to respond and help us out. The house was also very clean. Great spot to stay!

Excellent stay at Shaw VRBO

This property is very well done. Comfortable and in a great location for ALL activities. The neighborhood is quaint. The best part was how clean it was!! I’ve stayed in several nice properties but, none as clean as this! It was a pleasure. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends! Overall an excellent experience!

Great place. Everyone had enough room and privacy

We really enjoyed the beds our great quality. Plenty of space everyone had their own privacy. Kitchen could use a few things like a larger toaster. Considering it's a home to hold a lot of people. Maybe a few more pots in panes with lids to make it more convenient for cooking. Other than that without the place was great. great location

Absolute great find

Clean, spacious, comfortable, well equipped kitchen and very accommodating host. We are 3 mature couples, from out of state, got together for an adventure weekend. Botanical Gardens, Zoo, Gateway Arch (you should reserve tickets ahead of time to ride to the top) and a baseball game at Busch Stadium- all within a short drive. Sasha's on Shaw was a 2 block walk and a great wine bar/restaurant. No problem with parking on the street for 2 cars right in front of the house. We look forward to a trip back to beautiful St Louis on Shaw- thank you Devin!

Cutest condo/townhome in the area!

We fell in love with this cute house! We were only there for a long weekend but wished we could’ve stayed longer! The pictures are very accurate. Each of the rooms is just as it shows, maybe even nicer in person. The only thing I would note is there are a good amount of wooden stairs that leads up to all the bedrooms. They can be slippery when going up and down so be careful. Beds were comfy, safe neighborhood and quiet. And you have everything you would need in a kitchen if you want to cook. We were able to take advantage of that and loved how we didn’t have to buy much at all. The hosts were also very reachable and helpful when we needed anything. Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Definitely on our list of top VRBOs and we will be back!

Great place to stay

This house is the perfect place to stay and visit St. Louis, Washington University, Forest Park or a Cardinals game! Quiet street, 3great places to eat in walking distance and a market! Easy access to 64 and downtown. Near WashU medical campus, great hospitals around the corner. Beds very comfortable, lots of towels, tv’s in every room, bathrooms clean and spacious. Great booking for graduation week!responsive host and fair pricing. I’d stay here again!!

Super comfy

This VRBO having 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, accommodated 3 couples and a 1 year old perfectly. It was clean, well stocked with necessities and in a perfect location in the city.We were able to walk to Missouri Botanical Garden, the farmer’s market at Tower Grove Park and several restaurants. I would recommend to anyone and absolutely would stay here again!!

The ONLY two things I disliked about this property were the towels (they were a little rough, definitely basic hotel type towels) and the parking. The neighbor had a box truck and blocked the majority of spots with it. Other than that, it was super clean, beds were comfortable, and spacious enough for my little family! Would 10/10 stay again!

Spacious home

Our family used this home for Thanksgiving. The kitchen is spacious and is very well stocked for cooking. The large dining table allowed our family of 12 to gather around the table. There was room in the dining room to bring the kitchen table in for extra seating. It was very cold during our visit, but the home was very comfortable. It wasn’t drafty like older homes can be. The beds we comfortable and perfect for those of us that slept there. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
