Your mention of ants is surprising, as this has never been an issue before or since. I personally checked the apartment for cleanliness between our cleaners prepping the unit and your arrival. After your review, I texted you asking for details, and you sent a picture of a dog dish covered in ants on the carpet. It’s odd that you chose to feed your dog in the one area of the apartment with carpet. We have had multiple staff members carefully inspect the property for ants based on your complaints, and we found no signs of them. We can only surmise that the ants came in with your pet food or that they were attracted by food being left around during your five-day stay, which cleared up once the dog food was removed. If you had mentioned this issue while you were still here, we would have done everything we could to address your concerns. However, as you mentioned in our text conversation, you chose not to inform us until after your departure because it would have been 'an inconvenience' for you. This raises concerns about the validity of the issues you reported. I do apologize for the delay in getting your room ready—that was our error. As you may recall, I called to inform you of the delay and offered complimentary wine from my shop, ice cream from a nearby store, and late check-out to compensate for the inconvenience.

Thanks Kevin! We have already replaced that chair and added a second one to the living room as well. The current plan is to build a breakfast nook with a bench seat and bar stools and get rid of the little kitchen table entirely. We've struggled with making those stairs safe for little ones. Being a 210-year-old building, there isn't a way to move or modify the shape of the stairs. I think we're going to just have to build a custom built-in gate!
