Welcome to 124 Hiawatha Lower Unit- Avalon Home

This property features a completely unobstructed ocean view from the living room. Watch parasailers take flight, yachts tie up to moorings, cruise ships ferry passengers, and tour boats come and go from the green pier. The living room also features a new 55” smart TV and a queen size sleeper sofa.

The master bedroom has a California King Bed that faces the ocean. Early birds will love watching the sunrise over the water. Night owls will prefer watching the moonlight reflect on the Harbor.

**This house will have a complimentary golf cart available as of June 1, 2021.

Cute!

Cute place with an amazing view. We had everything we needed, loved having the golf cart, and had a wonderful stay. The linens and dishes and overall appearance was clean, but the property could definitely use a deep cleaning.

Great place to stay

Great place to stay. Bit of a walk but with provided golf cart everything is within reach. Good views of the harbor, and good amenities.

10k trip

It was nice, but there were a bunch of teenagers staying in the place upstairs and we could hear every time they moved around. They were coming and going at odd hours.

Everything was Great!!

We had a fabulous time we enjoyed our family vacation. Just one thing, shower needs to be fixed little water coming out .

Great views in Avalon

Cute and clean 2 bedrooms. Incredible view of Avalon. Well equipped kitchen. The golf cart came in handy for getting out family up and down the hills of Avalon.

Catalina Vacation for a wedding

Great property great views comfortable rooms the two bathrooms helped for the five of us the only drawback would be Internet connection very hard to stay connected and use multiple devices as well where their property as well described very clean very well built and kept up very nice would go back again

Great experience staying here

We were really pleased with our experience with this property. Lots of pluses -- having use of the golf cart was fantastic! The property manager was really responsive and allowed for both an early check-in and a late check-out, which were both hugely helpful and appreciated. The condo was the perfect size for our family of four and allowed our older son his own room (younger was on the pull-out couch). More than four people staying in the condo would be cramped though. The foldout couch is really only a good solution for a younger kid. A few minor minuses that in no way caused for a negative experience, but I wasn't pleased to be asked to empty all the trash cans, as that seems like something that should be covered by the housekeeping fee.The sheets for the pullout couch had been left dirty and crumpled in the closet, but we appreciated that the property manager had fresh sheets delivered right away when we called about it. I recommend staying here and would return!

Christmas in Avalon

As advertised, great location, close to town, yet quiet. Excellent communication and check-in from the manager. Our only gripe was cleanliness-marginal. The oven was dirty, the kitchen drawers and cabinets were disorganized and not clean. I would not plan to cook from this unit, lots of great restaurants though. An easy fix.

Good stay

Overall we had a great stay. We enjoyed the home. I will say for the money paid I expected a bit more. Negatives: VERY low water pressure in shower & some items were just a bit dirty (stained mattress on couch bed, some dishes in cabinet were dirty, fans had a ridiculous amount of dust collected). POSITIVES: golf cart was a huge plus, views were awesome, kitchen spacious. We also enjoyed having a BBQ area,which btw, is shared w the neighbors which was no issue for us, but something to be aware of. The host was friendly and patient upon check out.

Decent stay, but nothing incredible. Only worth it for the golf cart.

It was a nice place that served our needs but it was very, and I mean very, cramped. We had 6 people staying which shouldn’t be a big deal but the 7” living room ceiling made us feel boxed in the whole time. There was no ac either which did not make for a fun time cooling down. Also, they will ask you to do your dishes before you leave, which is fine, but don’t provide any dishwasher detergent. So you need to buy some or do by hand w/soap…that also wasn’t provided. There were also dirty dishes in the dishwasher from the last tenant. That being said, it was a decent stay otherwise and the golf cart was a godsend! If you don’t mind walking or have many activities plan I’d recommend another location. Property management company was very responsive and pleasant!

Peaceful and perfect

Everything was awesome. The view was amazing. Nice location, great perk with the golf cart, had everything we needed in the home as well. Already recommended to family and friends. Would definitely rebook if we return to the island.

Great location & Golf Cart!

We loved our stay, the location was perfect and the use of the golf cart was a huge bonus! The style of the cottage is very beachy & cozy, but the unit needs a little detailing. It's time for a new sleeper sofa. It's just way too old with a stained mattress, and it's starting to bow down near the head. Not at all usable. Also the sofa frame is all ripped up and dirty, has a cheap cover over it. Which was also dirty. The cheap covers on the swivel chairs need an update as well. The kitchen needs a deep clean inside the cabinets. New linens and comforter is also needed for the sleeper sofa. We found a very very old quilt to use, not very clean. Also an extremely old throw blanket. It was as if they were not prepared with proper bedding for the sofa bed. Adults would not be comfortable at ALL on the sleeper sofa. Thankfully our 15 year old was ok with it. Small window leak in the large bathroom, the paint behind the toilet is starting to bubble because of it. The location was great, and the view is amazing, we really enjoyed that... and everything worked perfectly. Just a little TLC overall is needed, and definitely a new sofa.

Wonderful Change to Traditional Thanksgiving…

Our family stay forThanksgiving was very much enjoyed by all. Turkey was cardboard cutout put together in 15 minutes, instead of 5 hours in the oven for a dry Turkey. And all the sides taking hours to prepare. Instead we made a crudités platter full of yummy cheeses, cold cuts, nuts, hummus and crackers with our favorite cocktails and music, playing thru our portable speaker. Followed by a family game of Ono and store bought Pumpkin pie with whip cream and vanilla ice cream. The golf cart definitely made our stay complete. And last to mention, the house cat that just showed up at our door was amazing.

Great place to stay!

This house was a good location despite the uphill trek to the house. The golf cart was a life saver for all of our luggage and bags. While the place was pretty clean we wished there were cleaning supplies for us to clean after cooking meals. Also, there is a friendly stray cat that comes around for food. There is two bathroom but one with just the toilet that is very small. If you are tall or a bit chubby might be difficult to use. There isn’t any AC in the house just fans which made the house hot during after a day at the beach. Some portable AC would be nice, but overall a good experience.

Beachy relaxing home

The house was calming and clean, with a stunning view of the Avalon harbor. Watching the sunrise alone was worth it. The house is on a steep hill which made it difficult to walk up when we arrived but thankfully, the golf cart helped out a lot for our group. There was no swamp cooler, but there were fans in both rooms to keep us cool and comfortable at night. The beds and couch were very comfortable for our group. We made breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen. I want to note that there's also an adorable neighborhood cat that liked to hang out in the sideyard. Thank you for the gorgeous memories. Everyone in the neighborhood is kind and easy to talk to.

Amazing

The property was great! Very clean, lots of games and the view was spectacular. The added bonus of the golf cart sealed the deal as one of our family members had knee replacement surgery recently.

Perfect Catalina Apartment

This apartment was a great home base for my family’s first visit to Catalina. I’m addition to the beautiful view it is adorably remodeled and nicely furnished with everything we needed to easily have a few at-home meals. Each morning we enjoyed coffee at the picture window, it was so lovely. And the golf cart was a major bonus. It made getting around the island a breeze and we were able to explore much more than we could have on foot. My only suggestion to the home owner is to supply a couple fans. In the summer with no AC it was stuffy in the bedrooms. Fans to move the air around would have made the difference. Still, I would stay here again.
