Truly had the best time! Woody was extremely helpful and responsive, even though we barely needed a thing! The house was adorable and spacious, and the view is unmatched. The beach below is quiet and quaint and it’s only a short drive to the larger beaches. One of the best rentals I’ve ever had, the house is magical!

We spent a wonderful week at this property with family and friends. Plenty of room. The posted pictures don’t do the house/property justice. It’s quite serene and magical.

This place felt like stepping straight back into childhood summers - sunlit mornings, slow afternoons, that warm lived-in charm you can't fake. We chased fireflies and star gazed at night and never wanted to leave. Could've easily stayed another week. Already dreaming of returning!

Thank you for your kind comments. For over 100 years we have enjoyed the Bluff House and Old Cape charm. The updating of the property from central air to the media room would shock my Grandfather but there are very few old family homes with such charm. Not to mention the best views in all of Chatham. Looking forward to your next stay as most quests return each year with one group going on their 26 year.

Amazing views

We stayed the weekend for a wedding with a few couples and the place exceeded all expectations. Will definitely be booking again!

beautiful getaway home!!

we had such a beautiful stay as we were visiting Chatham for a wedding. The grounds & views are breathtaking!! The home is cozy & quaint with a feeling of fond memories made there. woody was very responsive & help to make our visit relaxing & carefree.

Incredible Experience!

Absolutely incredible property, stunning views, and photos are spot on. My wife, daughter and I couldn't have had a better experience and the owner was extremely responsive and helpful throughout. Would come back in a heartbeat!

1960's Cape Legend

1960's Cape Cod regal family property that is very special. View and location was just incredible....nothing better, this is why you pay a premium. Amenities e.g. towles and linens left something to be desired.

Best location in Chatham

The incredible location of this house cannot be overstated. It is truly one-of-a-kind. The house is lovely and comfortable. Twenty-something’s loved it, 90 year old mom loved it! We all enjoyed looking out onto Pleasant Bay and watching boats go by. Owner is an excellent communicator and answered our questions quickly. If you want a phenomenal view and gorgeous outdoor space, you can’t beat this house!

Private, picturesque, and perfect!

We chose this property to accommodate our family of 7 and could not have enjoyed it more. The home is located down a secluded drive on a private bluff overlooking Cape Cod Bay. The location provides close, easy access to all the activities the cape has to offer while also offering a fabulous retreat where we could take walks on the beach, play croquet on the lawn, sit on the patio and take in the breathtaking views (sunrises and sunsets are not to be missed!), and enjoy our nights playing games around the large table or watching a movie on the BIG screen television. The owner was incredibly gracious and communicative, and I highly recommend this lovely home for anyone looking to enjoy the Chatham area.

Perfect Summer Retreat

At the end of a winding dirt road, this charming old house sits on a bluff (just as pictured) just above the water, pretty as a picture. It's quite private, yet only a mile or so drive into Chatham for restaurants and such. The home must be 100 years old, and while not luxurious, it's absolutely charming, comfortable, and clean. Pay attention that there is only one bathroom (plus an outdoor shower), and while there are 5 bedrooms, 3 have antique full sized beds (not queen), and one is a twin bed. The house offers beautiful old quilts, hooked rugs, and antique furniture along with modern appliances and plumbing - a great combination. We rented kayaks and bikes, enjoyed croquet on the beautiful lawn, a fire in the wood-burning fireplace on a cold night, beautiful views, and plenty of relaxation. It was wonderful.

Perfection!

This vacation spot is a true treasure. The bluff house has the most incredible views. The historic home is warm and inviting with a beautifully manicured lawn. Which was perfect for the children to play on when we were not enjoying the beach. Sitting on the patio with a cup or coffee in the morning watching the fishing boats leave the bay or the evening with a glass of wine watching the sunset was a great way to start or end a summer day. The home is well appointed with everything you would need. The AC was a nice bonus that we used only on the most humid days, otherwise the ocean breeze was all we needed. Owner was quick and gracious in answering any of our questions. So fortunate to have found this house rental, our family made memories during our week stay that will last forever. Hope to return next year.

Spectacular setting for a perfect family vacation!

We booked this stay for a family wedding and getaway. This home was perfect for our group of 4 adults. The setting surrounding the house was spectacular! Although there were 5 bedrooms upstairs with only one bathroom, it might have been tight if we had any more people. It turned out to be a very relaxing getaway with access to the water without having to get into a car. It was quiet and fairly private except for the other family members who shared the boat house access and dock by the shore. The beauty of the preserved old home and the stunning views from all the rooms were amazing! The house just embraced us, and we felt so at home here. My daughter especially enjoyed the morning sunrise over the ocean from her bedroom. The weather cooperated for us to use the outdoor shower to get everyone ready for wedding events, which was helpful. Loved the old honeysuckle arched arbor as you came in the back door! The house had a charming, comfortable character; the beds and the kitchen setup, sitting areas were all great. There was everything we needed- felt right at home. We hope to visit again in the future!

This property is stunning. The views absolutely beautiful. You will not want to leave. The inside is extremely charming with many historical features. Clean with modern amenities while having old-fashioned charm. Our family had a wonderful week. We even made friends with the neighbors who were lovely. Woody was wonderful to deal with. Highly recommend!

Surprise trip for our adult children

From start to finish an absolutely amazing experience. Woody was fantastic and very helpful. The pictures are great but really can't convey how spectacular the property is. When you come around the corner of that long entrance and see the Bluff House, it takes your breath away. Every thing was perfect and I would recommend it to anyone who asks! Wayne Conway Kansas City

Perfect spot!

We really enjoyed this house. The view is gorgeous! We had lots of room, the lawn and landscaping are pristine, the kitchen was perfect. Woody was super responsive, gave many recommendations, a great host! Highly recommend!

We have enjoyed the property for four generations dating back to 1918 and try very hard to keep the house both updated and relaxing. For those wanting a true Cape experience and old world charm- never mind the best views on the Cape-- the Bluff House fits the bill- thanks for your kind words as it explains why some renters have been returning for 20 years.

Stunning views and beautiful home

This property was perfect for our small family reunion of eight adults. Very relaxing and tranquil setting. We watched the sunrise from our bedroom window. We were also fortunate to have excellent weather for our visit. Nice private outdoor shower. Owner was very responsive and helpful. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
