The guest arrived one hour before check in (confirmed by the gate code log). When she arrived the villa was clean but our new housekeeper forgot to turn on the air conditioner. The guest didn’t turn on the a/c and left for an early dinner. The housekeeper returned to the villa at check in (4pm) and turned on the a/c. When the guest returned to the villa 2 hours later (as confirmed by the gate code) and 1.5 hours after check in, the temperature had dropped 3 degrees which is rapid according to my a/c technician. It’s unfortunate the housekeeper forgot to turn on the a/c and even more unfortunate that the guest didn’t turn on the a/c before she left for dinner. One must realize that it takes more than 1.5 hours to cool down the villa adequately especially with the recent high humidity on Maui.

Unfortunately the guest did not follow the written instructions in order to operate the downstairs TV . We offered to send someone but he refused. There is another TV upstairs that they were able to watch. Upon their departure the housekeeper checked the TV and it worked fine. The guest never mentioned the ice maker not working so we were unable to address this issue during their stay. The housekeeper checked the ice maker upon their departure and it’s working perfectly.. The guest could have obtained ice from the reserve in the refrigerator. In addition, there is a “back up” ice cube tray in the freezer! Would have loved the opportunity to address their issues during their stay!

Aloha William and mahalo for staying with us. It was wonderful meeting both you and your wife as we happened to be staying at the resort during your your stay. When you mentioned the sink not draining to your expectation, we had our handyman out the following day and he snaked the line. The drain was operating fine. The following day you mentioned it was draining better but you still thought it was slow. We had two major plumbing companies come to look at the drain within two hours. The first suggested snaking again but we said it had already been snaked. He agreed, that he didn’t think snaking again would improve the draining as it was operating as it should. The second one said it’s not a problem at all and is draining properly. I was there, and I personally spoke with both plumbers with these two major plumbing companies. Cost was not a factor at all.
