It was clean, comfortable and beautiful. The home is a lot bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside or pictures. Troy and Kait were very friendly and answered promptly with responses to questions or concerns. We enjoyed our weekend getaway here and would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was very clean and equipped with everything we would need. Short walks to breakfast in the morning and bars at night. We look forward to booking again when we return to visit family!

We travelled with a group of 8 people, and one of the biggest issues was Wifi & using the television. At first , the sound was not working, and then the Wifi with 8 individuals was not enough. To make the property better, I would recommend a stronger Wifi system that could support a large groups devices, as well as it would help the streaming services on the television. Also, the sink water pressure in the kitchen was extremely low, but the showers were good!

Everything was great, nice area and property. Only thing is there was a couple cockroaches but that’s what you get around the area id assume

Family get away

The property was clean, fully stocked, and perfect for a weekend away with our kiddos. The beds were super comfortable, the hosts supplied baby gates to help contain the toddler and provided recommendations of places to visit. We cannot wait to visit again

The internet did not work and was never fixed the entire time of our stay. The mattresses had old, dark urine stains on several of them, which we discovered when we removed the bedding on our last morning there. The dishwasher did not work. The outside furniture had several that were broken and could not sit on. Kitchen didn’t have curtains so everyone could see in at night. House could use some love and attention. Other than that, the location was good and walking distance to the state land beach area with the lighthouse and close to town. Home was clean besides those few things and spacious.

Great experience

Was a perfect little getaway with friends n family. House was clean and had everything we needed. Owners were super easy to book with. Walking distance to downtown. Perfect thank you.

Family wedding stay

We were in the area for a wedding. The house was beautiful. It was very clean! It was roomy and comfortable. The check in and check out process was very easy. It was within walking distance to the town, the state park, walking trails and the lake. Highly recommend!

Sylvan beach house

Lots of beds. Super comfortable. Stairs are a bit steep if you have older people with you. We spent most of our time at turning stone resort. An easy drive from the house.

Perfect Beach House

We stayed with family (10 in total) over Memorial day weekend at the Blue Heron in Sylvan Beach, NY. The house was very clean, fully stocked and had plenty of sleeping options for everyone. The owner has done a nice job with this house - it's nice looking, very well thought out, comfortable and really exceeded our expectations. The owner/property manager were very welcoming and very easy to work with. The property itself is tucked away off of the main drag but within walking distance to the beach, park, amusements, restaurants and shops. The outside of the house is fenced in with a grill, fire pit and plenty of seating where we spent most of our time enjoying the beautiful weather, talking with friendly passerbyers and telling lies by the fire pit in the evenings. We highly recommend this place and would absolutely go back!

The photos online were pretty misleading, All the furniture was different then the listing photos, replaced with cheap/broken furniture, the outdoor furniture was pretty much unusable as it was falling apart and no cushions/cracked table. The house had a bug problem as well, not just the bugs getting in through the vents but cockroaches everywhere, including the toaster. Internet was spotty as wellI would have been fine with most of the above if it weren't for the property manager completely ignoring our text asking a simple request. Also forcing us to take the trash to the curb, sorry, I don't pay to do other peoples chores/jobs...

We attended a family wedding in nearby Cleveland. It was a short 15 min drive to this property which was super convenient. There were a total of 9 of us, and this property met our needs. The home was clean, with stocked bathrooms. The check in and check out process was smooth and easy. The owners were incredibly easy to communicate with and very responsive. We had to bring our dog last minute and they were great about it. The fenced in yard was really appreciated. Although the layout of the rooms and sleeping arrangements were not ideal, we made it work. The Master bedroom and the bedroom with the twin and double connect. You have to walk through the master to use the upstairs bathroom. Additionally, the bedroom on the main floor is extremely small, and has no privacy as there is a clear pane in the doorway. There are two full bathrooms which was great since we had so many people. The neighborhood was quiet and it was great for walking. I do wish the kitchen was stocked with all of the essentials. It had the basics, but was lacking things like a griddle, a sheet pan, serving dishes, and a decent sauté pan. We did a family dinner and family breakfast and had to get creative with what was supplied. Overall it was completely fine for what we needed.

This is in a beautiful little town. Right near the water. Exceptionally clean and comfortable place. Great for a large family. Very well stocked.

A must!

This place is a fantastic place to get away. I appreciated that the house was sparkling clean and modern. It felt better than a home away from home. It felt more like hotel living vs staying in “someone else's home.” Our family LOVED it. We do plan on returning. Below is a list of the PROs and CONs. (Keep in mind that the pros are a bit nit-picky, but I decided to comment on it here so give a full honest review.) PROs: - LOCATION. It is within walking distance of the beach. - The beds and linens were VERY comfortable. - Generous sized rooms. - All of the TVs had streaming capability. - Wonderful outdoor space. Comfortable outdoor furniture. Wonderful fire pit. CONs: -The stairs are shallower and steeper than regulation stairs. - We had access to the garage, but the garage was packed full where we couldn’t fit our stroller in there. - Dishware is sub-par. A lot if mix and max pots, pans, utensils etc. (This is big for me because I do not like to eat out. I prefer cooking at home so I can eat healthy and save money.) - Limited cleaning tools available, I could only find a vacuum. Even while on vacation I like to keep things neat and tidy. I could only find a vacuum stuffed in the garage that looked and worked like it was at the end of its life.

Cozy place, feels like home

We booked this place so we could bring our dog with us on a casino trip. The house was clean, decorated nicely, and very comfy. There were only two of us but the house is laid our perfectly for a larger group. The kitchen was stocked with all appliances, plates and utensils. Pretty much anything you need is there! There was even a drink chiller fridge. The house is walking distance from the beach and a very short drive from Verona State Park which was a perfect place to take the dog on a long walk. We’d definitely stay here again.
