Seabreeze Cottage ... your home base for exploring Virginia's Eastern Shore!

Seabreeze Cottage is located on a country lane just outside the seaside village of Cheriton, less than 5 miles from downtown Cape Charles. This is the perfect home base for you and your family to explore all that the Eastern Shore of Virginia has to offer. This home is also a great place for fishing and duck hunting trips, close to several boat launches.

This cozy home features a downstairs bedroom with a memory foam queen bed and an upstairs dorm bedroom with three twin beds. For additional sleeping options, a sofa bed is located in the den and there is a CordaRoy convertible chair/bed for youngsters in the dorm room. Bathroom with tub is located downstairs and there is an outdoor shower (available in summer months). The home offers a well appointed kitchen, gas grill, full size stacked washer dryer, central heat and air, wireless internet and a TV with Roku for streaming in the den and dorm room areas.

Wake up in the morning and enjoy complimentary coffee (from local company Eastern Shore Coffee Roasters) while you sit on the deck, watching the sun rise and listening to the birds. Head to the Cape Charles beach for a day of fun in the sun (we will provide the beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella). Come home in the afternoon and enjoy some yard games in the fenced in back yard, or curl up in the hammock and take a nap. Evenings can be spent grilling outside, gathering around the fire pit (wood and kindling provided) or enjoying a family movie night.

Want to bring your dog with you on vacation? Dogs up to 55 lbs are welcome at Seabreeze Cottage with a $60 weekly pet fee.

Seabreeze Cottage is a Y-Home, meaning we include a complimentary YMCA guest membership to all of our guests (effective March 2022). This includes access to:
* POOL - 4 lane outdoor lap pool and activity splash pool
* Wellness Center
* Group exercise classes
* Stay & Play (2 hours of childcare while in the facility)
* Parents Time Out program - Offered 4th Friday of each month from 5-8pm

Sea breeze was a great home away from home. The hosts are great and very responsive! We loved bringing our boat and also how close it was to Cape Carles, Kiptopeake and Oyster!

Back again!

My dad and I stayed here last year and it was perfect so we had to come back! We bring our 21ft boat down and there is plenty of space to park, plus a hose and hookups to rinse out the motor. It’s a beautiful home, comfortable beds and on a quiet road.

Perfect house for us

We had a great stay at Seabreeze cottage. The check in process was easy and the house was very clean. We did not bring our kids during this visit but we would definitely come back with our kids next time. The bathroom was spacious and there was an outdoor shower. The fenced in backyard is very peaceful. We watched bunnies and birds in the morning with our coffee. Very easy drive into Cape Charles. We would definitely come again!

Fun little getaway!

Very convenient property - a short ride from the beach and Kiptopeke State Park and also Cape Charles. House has everything you need for every venture in the area. Hosts are very thoughtful about the amenities they leave. Only downside are the bugs - but otherwise very enjoyable!!

Lovely home

Kitty thought of everything to make our stay quite pleasant. Our events were in expensive Cape Charles and Cheriton is a mere 2-3 miles away. So quiet and peaceful.

Best place we’ve seen around the area in a while.

Very clean, organized and well stocked property. Everything we needed (or could need) were available and provided, (i.e. dishes, pots, pans, utensils, information for restaurants and outdoor activities,…) Pet friendly option a BIG plus since we like to travel with our two small poodle-esk canines. Owners were very responsive and communicative to our needs and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. Overall, we would put Kitty and Frank’s at the top of our list whenever we are back vacationing in the Cape Charles area!

Great Stay For A Foursome

Was in Cape Charles for annual golf trip at Bay Creek, just 3 miles away. Seabreeze Cottage is perfectly located in Cheriton just minutes away from the golf course, supermarket and downtown Cape Charles. The home is cozy, bright and very clean. Kitty is a great host and communicated very well. Hoping availability next year lines up with dates for my golf outing because I will definitely stay at Seabreeze Cottage again!

Best of Both Worlds!

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend away with our family of 4 and would highly recommend this location for similar sized groups. The house comfortably met all of our needs and had several thoughtful amenities. I think this house offers the best of both worlds in an Eastern Shore vacation, allowing you to enjoy the charming shops and restaurants "in town" while staying only minutes away in a peaceful and quiet location. The indoor and outdoor spaces allow you the opportunity to gather around the fire pit outside, curl up together for a movie, or slip away to the hammock for a little quiet time. What an inviting and well designed treasure!

Pleasantly surprised!!

What a lovely place. It was everything that the VRBO listing said it was and more! We go to the lower ESVA every year. My family has been traveling down 13 for 50 years..since 1972 to relax, enjoy ourselves and fill our freezer with a bountiful harvest from the Chesapeake. As an amateur chef I find quality of the seafood from the area hard to beat. I was blown away by how well equipped the kitchen was .The cottage was surprisingly spacious, well laid out and comfy! We will absolutely be back next year. This place will be our new go to.. Thanks Kitty.

Exactly what we needed!

From the start communication with Kitty was extremely easy and she made me feel immediately welcomed in their home. I wanted a small getaway with my two young daughters and a place we could bring our pup and the cottage was beyond perfect. It was beautifully decorated, however extremely family friendly (With a 2 year old that is very curious this is something more places need to be aware of! Haha). We somehow got the perfect weather and enjoyed the large backyard and a family movie night out back with s’mores made right with the fire pit. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to not eat out for every meal. The convenience to downtown Cape Charles was so nice and easy, just far enough away though to make you feel like no one is around and you can sit out back in peace and quiet. I cannot recommend this home enough. My girls asked if we could come back right after we left. Thank you so much for helping fill my mama heart with these amazing memories!

Quaint Cottage In A Great Location

Such a great experience staying at Seabreeze. The cottage was in a great location just a few minutes from town. The fenced in backyard was such a bonus for our pups! Everything was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed the fire pit while we watched the stars. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you so much for being great hosts.

My birthday weekend

The pictures and descriptions listed on VRBO very accurately describes the property. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the supplies you could need. We are currently under going a kitchen renovation in our house, so I really enjoyed cooking while we were there and eating off of real plates. This was the first time we have taken our dog with us on a trip, and the yard is plenty big enough and securely fenced. The host thinks of everything, even a welcome basket with snacks, which my husband made short work of.

Great retreat

Wonderful, clean, cute home. Well appointed. Great hosts. Perfect huge yard for our 3 dogs to play. Great area for hiking & beach. Would stay again if in area. Highly recommend.

just wonderful!

Our stay at the Seabreeze was just wonderful!! The area was quiet and isolated enough for a peaceful morning stroll but was just a short drive from downtown Cape Charles and all the goings on there. The home was clean and beautiful, so cute!! It was a perfect stay for my family, including our little on. Kitty's hospitality was second to none. Every detail was thought through and lovely! We only wish we had more time to enjoy the big back yard hammock and fire pit, but we plan on returning, so hopefully next time!

As Advertised!!!!! - Super Charming

Can't say enough about our girlfriends' weekend stay at Seabreeze Cottage. The house is so charming. Everything is so thoughtfully done, comfortable and really like home away from home, without the work. It only takes five minutes to get downtown to Cape Charles, which we loved because the house is so quiet. Beds are really comfortable, the decorations are wonderful. Beachy without overdoing it. We noticed that the art work seems to be mostly local which is a great touch. Kitchen is equipped really well. There is even local coffee! The yard is fantastic. We took full advantage of the firepit on our gorgeous weekend with a full moon. I highly recommend a visit to Seabreeze and hopefully we'll be back.

We have vacationed on the Eastern Shore for many years and have truly fallen in love with the people and the laid back atmosphere. We chose this seaside village property because we love the openness of the rural setting, but the close proximity to all of what downtown Cape Charles has to offer.
