Seabreeze Cottage ... your home base for exploring Virginia's Eastern Shore!

Seabreeze Cottage is located on a country lane just outside the seaside village of Cheriton, less than 5 miles from downtown Cape Charles. This is the perfect home base for you and your family to explore all that the Eastern Shore of Virginia has to offer. This home is also a great place for fishing and duck hunting trips, close to several boat launches.

This cozy home features a downstairs bedroom with a memory foam queen bed and an upstairs dorm bedroom with three twin beds. For additional sleeping options, a sofa bed is located in the den and there is a CordaRoy convertible chair/bed for youngsters in the dorm room. Bathroom with tub is located downstairs and there is an outdoor shower (available in summer months). The home offers a well appointed kitchen, gas grill, full size stacked washer dryer, central heat and air, wireless internet and a TV with Roku for streaming in the den and dorm room areas.

Wake up in the morning and enjoy complimentary coffee (from local company Eastern Shore Coffee Roasters) while you sit on the deck, watching the sun rise and listening to the birds. Head to the Cape Charles beach for a day of fun in the sun (we will provide the beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella). Come home in the afternoon and enjoy some yard games in the fenced in back yard, or curl up in the hammock and take a nap. Evenings can be spent grilling outside, gathering around the fire pit (wood and kindling provided) or enjoying a family movie night.

Want to bring your dog with you on vacation? Dogs up to 55 lbs are welcome at Seabreeze Cottage with a $60 weekly pet fee.

Seabreeze Cottage is a Y-Home, meaning we include a complimentary YMCA guest membership to all of our guests (effective March 2022). This includes access to:
* POOL - 4 lane outdoor lap pool and activity splash pool
* Wellness Center
* Group exercise classes
* Stay & Play (2 hours of childcare while in the facility)
* Parents Time Out program - Offered 4th Friday of each month from 5-8pm

I was in town for a bike event and this house was the perfect stay! We were able to cook our favorite meal before the ride in the wonderful kitchen and made use of the grill! The location is perfect to get to Cape Charles or head north to Wachapreague and Onancock. I can't wait to return!

The host was always very responsive. We had a small issue and they responded quickly and kindly. The stay was with my husband, friend, and dog for a wedding. We all had an enjoyable stay and there was a nice fenced in area with a fire pit and screened in Gazebo area. The house was close to the downtown area and the wedding venue. I would recommend again.

We enjoyed our stay at Seabreeze Cottage. We were attending a Wedding at Cape Charles and the cottage was in close proximity to all the festivities. The cottage is cozy and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped. The owners provided us with everything we needed. Our pets enjoyed their stay as well. Thank you for making our trip relaxing and enjoyable!

Quiet neighborhood with a definite sea breeze (aptly named). Very close to site seeing and a grocery store. Greatly enjoyed the screen shelter! Saw deer just outside the fence in backyard and on our neighborhood walk! House was bigger than anticipated but still a cozy getaway.

This was a great place to stay. It is well maintained in a lovely and quiet neighborhood. Shopping, dining, and activities were close by. I talked to the owner a few times and she was always quick with a response. The welcome basket plus the local coffee with creamers just put this property over the top.

Back again!

My dad and I stayed here last year and it was perfect so we had to come back! We bring our 21ft boat down and there is plenty of space to park, plus a hose and hookups to rinse out the motor. It’s a beautiful home, comfortable beds and on a quiet road.

Perfect house for us

We had a great stay at Seabreeze cottage. The check in process was easy and the house was very clean. We did not bring our kids during this visit but we would definitely come back with our kids next time. The bathroom was spacious and there was an outdoor shower. The fenced in backyard is very peaceful. We watched bunnies and birds in the morning with our coffee. Very easy drive into Cape Charles. We would definitely come again!

Fun little getaway!

Very convenient property - a short ride from the beach and Kiptopeke State Park and also Cape Charles. House has everything you need for every venture in the area. Hosts are very thoughtful about the amenities they leave. Only downside are the bugs - but otherwise very enjoyable!!

Best place we’ve seen around the area in a while.

Very clean, organized and well stocked property. Everything we needed (or could need) were available and provided, (i.e. dishes, pots, pans, utensils, information for restaurants and outdoor activities,…) Pet friendly option a BIG plus since we like to travel with our two small poodle-esk canines. Owners were very responsive and communicative to our needs and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. Overall, we would put Kitty and Frank’s at the top of our list whenever we are back vacationing in the Cape Charles area!

Quaint Cottage In A Great Location

Such a great experience staying at Seabreeze. The cottage was in a great location just a few minutes from town. The fenced in backyard was such a bonus for our pups! Everything was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed the fire pit while we watched the stars. We will definitely be staying here again. Thank you so much for being great hosts.

Exactly what we needed!

From the start communication with Kitty was extremely easy and she made me feel immediately welcomed in their home. I wanted a small getaway with my two young daughters and a place we could bring our pup and the cottage was beyond perfect. It was beautifully decorated, however extremely family friendly (With a 2 year old that is very curious this is something more places need to be aware of! Haha). We somehow got the perfect weather and enjoyed the large backyard and a family movie night out back with s’mores made right with the fire pit. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to not eat out for every meal. The convenience to downtown Cape Charles was so nice and easy, just far enough away though to make you feel like no one is around and you can sit out back in peace and quiet. I cannot recommend this home enough. My girls asked if we could come back right after we left. Thank you so much for helping fill my mama heart with these amazing memories!

Pleasantly surprised!!

What a lovely place. It was everything that the VRBO listing said it was and more! We go to the lower ESVA every year. My family has been traveling down 13 for 50 years..since 1972 to relax, enjoy ourselves and fill our freezer with a bountiful harvest from the Chesapeake. As an amateur chef I find quality of the seafood from the area hard to beat. I was blown away by how well equipped the kitchen was .The cottage was surprisingly spacious, well laid out and comfy! We will absolutely be back next year. This place will be our new go to.. Thanks Kitty.

We bought this home in the Spring of 2021 after several years of dreaming about owning a place on the Eastern Shore. We have vacationed on the Eastern Shore for many years and have truly fallen in love with the people and the laid back atmosphere. We chose this seaside village property because we love the openness of the rural setting, but the close proximity to all of what downtown Cape Charles has to offer. We look forward to hosting you at Seabreeze Cottage. Have any questions, just ask!
