Our family spent the 2-week holiday break at this property. Although it is a new property without many reviews, it was the new mattresses, the simple aesthetic, the location, and the pool that appealed to me.
The layout of rooms and house worked well for us. The beds were comfortable (one of the most important elements of a rental in my opinion). Despite the cool weather, the kids swam in the heated pool nearly every day. The house was mostly stocked with what we needed for our long stay. We have family living in 3 different homes in Gulf Gate that were all within walking distance, so the location was perfect for us. We used the the laundry machines a lot over 2 weeks with no problems. If the dryer keeps turning off before things are dry, switch it to the manual setting instead of the "smart sense" setting and it will be fine.
I think the owner and cleaners, in partnership with the property manager, have some opportunities to grow this new property (curtains, keypad entry, pool filter/heater repair, review of cleaning protocols, smell mitigation, etc.). With a few modest upgrades this will be a solid 5-star stay.
The property manager, Monika, and her team, were superb. Prior to our arrival she went above-and-beyond to locate and place a Christmas tree and other decorations to make it more festive for the children. She even put a big wreath on the pool deck, and decor at the front entry. She was easily reachable by text and responded quickly every time we needed something - including Christmas day!
We did have a bizarre electrical problem on Christmas day which unfortunately took out the smart systems and kitchen appliances in the house. When I couldn't cook a single thing on Christmas day, Monika's team at least got me a working microwave on a power strip. They brought another strip to protect the router from surges thus restoring WiFi, but not the thermostat. I spent many hours on Christmas day and Boxing day trying to sort it out, but so did the property manager and the owner. An electrician arrived the next day, as did the property manager. The power company also arrived on the 26th and fixed a bad connection on the roof. Hopefully this has permanently resolved all electrical issues. I share this as example how amazing Monika was at handling a crisis. I was very pleased with her.
Despite some of the hiccups, I still give this property a 5-star review with confidence. Our family looks forward to staying here again in the future.
