Our waterfront home at 15 Seagull Trail is perfect for couples or families who want to enjoy a relaxing seaside vacation. We are located on west beach near the Marina and are truly waterfront with an unobstructed 180 degree of the water unlike ocean view homes with only narrow views between the waterfront homes The natural sea breezes keep the noseeums and mosquitoes at a minimum. The ample deck with porch areas has rockers, benches, and picnic table. It is the perfect outdoor gathering place to view the beautiful sunsets over the water, the dolphins and seabirds, and the large ships going into the Cape Fear River. There are several beach chairs and within just a few steps you can sit on the beach and enjoy the privacy of this area.

Our kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, tile backsplash, and an under counter ice machine. No more running out of ice on hot summer days! Also, we have 4 flat screen TVs, 2 with Blu-ray DVD players. There are two queen beds and two sets of twins. The two bedrooms with the twin beds have their own TV/DVD/VCRs. Each equal-sized bedroom has its own full bath and water views. The loft has a 360 degree view and a futon. Our timber-frame home even has vaulted timbers overhead in the bathrooms. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is an enclosed under-house shower with hot & cold water, a fish cleaning station, and a garage with beach chairs, charcoal grill and 1-4 pass and 1- 6 pass.

There are games, puzzles, boogie boards, beach umbrella, and a basket full of beach toys. Fishing is excellent right off our beach.

Perfect little getaway over Thanksgiving.

Family getaway

Had everything we could ask for in a vacation home. Ocean front with amazing views of the water and sunset. Only a short trip from the marina and close to all amenities. We had an excellent trip and look forward to staying at this exact location again.

The owners were great to work with. The property was very nice and clean. Looks just as presented on this site. Great location. It was a lovely trip and we plan to visit this very place again next year.

Family Vacation

It was our first time on Bald Head Island. It was also the first time we vacationed with out other families with us. The property felt small at first but we ended up enjoying the coziness as a family. We were there for 2 weeks and everyone loved their experience on the island!

Beautiful house! Great views!

Clean, beautiful home with beach access, great for fishing. We’ve been coming to BHI for 10 years and this was our favorite home. Just a heads up, there were no beach towels, so plan for that. I would definitely rent here again.

What a Phenomenal Location!

My family and I had a fabulous time watching the exquisite sunsets each night with Old Baldy in the background. We had a lovely painted bunting that sang to us everyday. This location was just perfect- close to the harbor and fairly secluded. The agency was easy to work with and extremely responsive. We had deer in our yard one night, too!

Island Time

Great house that is as advertised. No it’s not Ben and Jenn’s summer home but it is a very nice home with a superb location. Beach is a 2 minute walk out the back door. Island grocery, and everything else, is a short golf cart ride away (home comes with multiple carts). Nice crows nest for morning coffee. The cleanup/ checkout list is reasonable as well. Very enjoyable stay that we are already thinking of repeating.

Great Getaway on Bald Head Island

We really enjoyed our stay at this property, it was a perfect fit for our 2 families. Loved the location, on the West Side of the island close to the ferry. Very short walk to the beach, and the house was well appointed with beach chairs and gear. Beautiful ocean views, especially from the top floor bonus room. Perfect spot for morning coffee, reading a book, or family game night. The house is newly remodeled and tastefully decorated. We loved that every bedroom had its own private bathroom. This was our first time to Bald Head Island, but it definitely won’t be our last. It is such a hidden gem where you can truly get away from the hustle & bustle and enjoy life at a slower pace. Thanks again for letting us enjoy your lovely home, we’ll be back!

Nice Place

This was our first time to BHI. We did love it - the island is great. This house is nice and clean. It's right on the beach yes, but we found ourselves going to the other side of the island a lot because the waves are better over there. The only suggestions I would submit on improving this house is to 1) Get a new large TV for the main family room. If it rains and you're stuck inside it would be nice to have a 85" TV to watch a movie or a live game. The old small tv they have in there is not sufficient. 2) Golf carts are old and slow. I can see you don't want renters to ruin new golf carts but at the rates you charge you should have newer golf carts. Other than that it's a great place I would book again.

Cute and clean

This property was enjoyable for our family of 5 to stay for 4 days. The kitchen was equipped with all the necessary items for cooking/baking/coffee. We loved having morning coffee and playing games up top in the lookout area, the access to the beach was a dream and we all felt welcome and relaxed. A few small issues- many light bulbs were out and we had to replace them, the bedroom on the rear left had an extremely hard mattress that my 16 year old could barely tolerate, the exterior doors locked well from the inside, but wouldn’t deadbolt with our key from the outside, the back right bathroom didn’t drain well so there was standing water while showering. The home has a great ocean view but the windows were very dirty making it hard to appreciate the view! Also one of the golf carts was missing it’s upper windshield which made it not usable during the rainy weekend and the larger cart was making some loud, unnerving sounds when turning. Overall, we would return, especially if these small issues were addressed!
