We had a wonderful time on our short trip. The direct acess to the beach was so convenient. We were able to take our dogs on the beach and play. They had a blast. We also loved the proximity to Anastasia Island and downtown st. Augustine. It was the perfect location.

If you are reading this review, save yourself the headache and find another rental! While the location and views were perfection the house itself was far from it.The water smelled like rotten eggs. We would not drink it, cook with it, do our laundry with it and we really didn’t want to shower with it but had no choice. The smell was overwhelming and took over the entire house - in my opinion this is a basic need that was not met. The house was dated which wasn’t the problem. It was the cleanliness. I wiped everything with bleach wipes before sitting our personal belongings on anything. One of the downstairs rooms had a strong urine smell the other had bugs in the bed which were not noticed until the next day. Many bites later, the couple that was in that room is now on a cycle of steroids after they both visited their Dr. I sat in one of the chairs outside, leaned back and it broke sending me doing a back flip leaving a 3 inch cut on my back. Apparently it was dry rotted and the management company thought it would be fine for someone to use.The grill - just gross!The list goes on and on but I touched the most important.The management company was notified and it took them 2 days to get back to me - never was there an offer to come fix anything. They issued a 100.00 refund which was an insult. When you spend this kind of money for a beach house, you have certain expectations - unfortunately this house/management company is lacking!

The location cannot be beat! We loved having direct access to come and go down to the beach as often as we wanted. The water pressure, appliances and AC worked great both upstairs and downstairs. Check in/out was easy. We would have loved more trashbags, laundry soap pods and a mixing bowl. The beach items were not advertised but appreciated.

Enjoyed our stay

The view and access to the beach were really fantastic. Property is convenient to grocery shopping and to historic St. Augustine. Would consider staying there again if we're in the area.

Annual Family Beach Vacay

We loved the location and beach access. The beach was never crowded and there was food and shopping very close by. Will definitely consider visiting again next summer!

We had a wonderful vacation and we would definitely stay there again. We had plenty of clean sheets and towels for everyone. It has everything you would need in the kitchen. It had a small yard that was perfect for our dog. It is just a few steps and you’re on the beach. We loved the covered porch.

Disappointed

The property was not as it appeared in the listing. It appears that the owners have not been maintaining the property. Could have gotten a nicer property for the same price.

Great atmosphere, okay house

Atmosphere and view was unbeatable however the house itself, while very nice on the 2nd floor was overshadowed by an intense mildew smell, broken ice machine, broken locks, disgusting tap water and just very badly needed some tlc. Overall for the price I would have rather stayed at a hampton close by. But again I really did love the location and had a great time.

Beach house

The house was a perfect location, easy access to the beach accommodating to the dogs was able to house. All 10 of us. Had a great time. House could use some work otherwise it was a perfect time.

4 night stay turned into a 16 hr stay

entering the home was musty mildew Oder . Made me sick by the next morning, reported it as well as other issues , causing us to up & Leave asp . Drive back home 9 hrs that morning . Tried to get a full refund only a small portion . Very disappointing. Hurricane melton hit the house the week before, probably why we had the Oder. Most stressful vacation ever in my lifetime! Just left a hurricane 3 weeks prior Helene with devastating effects in the nc mountains, including our house

Great location

Right on the beach. Lots of stairs, so beware. Needs more care and cleanliness. Gate was broken and we had to repair it. Great place to bring your dog, though access is thru the outside gate or stairs from the 2nd story deck. View is amazing.

Family Vacation

The house was beautiful , the location was perfect! The beach was nice and relaxing! Unfortunately we had to leave early due to a mandatory evacuation because of hurricane Milton. The property manager was wonderful about keeping us up to date on the storm, and coming by to help carry outdoor furniture inside. We would love to come back in the future!

Fabulous property, problems with responsible group.

Great house with yard and beach…. Little attention to client concerns. I was given no code to get in the house and had to call several times after check in before getting an answer or a code to get in. The door knob came totally off one day and no response for over 24 hours; then an angry message on my phone- though I was expecting a message on the app… the property is great… wish caretakers cared about our stay

Beachfront Memorial Day

It was perfect! Exceptionally clean, large bedrooms, beach FRONT! The beach and town were so clean, having it primarily residential, lowered the crowds and the beach was so private and pleasant. The sunrose every morning right in front of our porch, it was stunning and special to gather for coffee and sunrise on the deck each day. We came home and booked it for same time next year. We will be back often, it felt like we found our new favorite beach vacay spot

Beautiful Beach House

My husband, 2 Shibas, & me, fell in love with this house. A fun rustic feel to this home on a perfect white sandy beach left us wishing for a longer stay!! Coffee & gorgeous sunrises every morning along with lunches & dinners on the deck made it extremely difficult to dine out. Hope to return soon

Overall a very good choice

Loved the location. Loved that there were no unpleasant surprises. Loved the deck. Liked the yard (fence needed some repair and wasn’t reliable to keep dog contained). The only big negative is the cost to rent a place like this but it is what it is. Would definitely recommend it as a good place to stay on the beach in Vilano.

Excellent location

With the exception of the issues I reported prior to our departure, for which you compensated me, our stay was great. The house is beautiful and well decorated. The location could not be better. Access to shopping and other activities is easy and close. My sister and I had a great time.
