Welcome to Island life!Charming waterfront home with amazing views of N. Channel

Welcome to Ollie-K’s Oasis. Our island home has 3 bedrooms, 1-1/2 baths and is right on the water with gorgeous views of the North Channel of Lake St. Clair. Our home is directly across the river from the Algonac boat launch and just a 2-minute drive from the ferry. There is a large open floor plan with plenty of space to entertain, and outside is a spacious L-shaped deck. We can accommodate parking for 3-4 trucks with trailers/boats or up to 8 other vehicles. Catch fish from the seawall and watch the sturgeon jump. There is a location dedicated to cleaning fish. Outdoor fire pit, and a Pit Boss grill that uses propane fuel or used as a smoker with pellets. (Grill will be put in storage during winter months along with all exterior furniture. The playground was removed) There is a fully equipped kitchen, no need to bring anything but your food/drinks. All towels, linens, pillows, etc. are provided. We have 3 queen beds and a California king bed, which comfortably sleeps 8. There are 2 blow up air mattresses as well.

The ferry runs every 15min from 6am-midnight and every 30min from midnight-6am. The ferry only accepts cash. $15 car and $35 truck - roundtrip Ph# 1-810-748-3757.

After each stay is a professional cleaning completed by Cleaning by Dawn, which meets a 5-point cleaning standard.

Lake St. Clair is known as the "Heart of the Great Lakes" and is a freshwater lake that lies between the Canadian province of Ontario and the U.S. state of Michigan. It's 430 square miles in surface area with an average depth of 11 feet. Also known as one of the largest sport fisheries in the world. The top 10 things to do while on the lake are fishing, ice fishing, hunting, duck hunting, swimming, diving, boating, jet skiing, freighter watching, and touring lighthouses.
So, come, enjoy, relax and stay a while! Don’t forget to share with your family and friends.

For security purposes there are 4 exterior cameras -no audio - located on all 4 corners of the home. The interior camera was removed.

Loved our Stay!! Can't wait to stay again!! The kitchen had everything you needed, plus comfortable beds and lots of towels!!

Great Family Stay

We were visiting Harsen's Island for a family reunion and booked this house so that our branch of the family could stay together. It was lovely and served our purposes very well. Although we spent most of our time over the weekend at our cousin's house on the island, we did enjoy the spaciousness of the house and made great use of the deck in the evenings. A wonderful place to stay!!

Peace and Tranquility!

Place was tastefully decorated, extremely clean and comfortable. Comfortable furniture and beds. Fully stocked kitchen with dishes, pans, and cookware. Wonderful full size deck and small deck next to the water, both were wonderful places to sit and enjoy the scenery. Wonderful view of the water from within the cabin with 2 full size windows, that stretch across the whole wall facing out over the water. If you’re looking for a place to relax, unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this is the perfect vacation spot.

Waterfront Getaway

Had a very comfortable stay for our adult group of 7. Kearsten was very helpful, actually called me a few days before the trip to provide additional details and info for the island and house. Overall, the house was very comfortable and easy to stay in. Only note I have is if you plan on cooking, there was no saranwrap or foil. Basics like salt/pepper/oil were available.

Nearly Perfect

This is an absolutely lovely house in a wonderful location. From furnishings, to decor, to a well stocked kitchen and patio, you have everything you need. My mother and I (both seniors) enjoyed the view, the grill, and the super-comfy beds. CONS: The description of the camera on the property is deceptive in the ad. Multiple outdoor cameras, which were all fine, but also a camera that covers the entire lving room and dining room. The list of chores to do, considering the substantial cleaning fees was a bit overboard compared to our average stays.

Security Camera in Dining Room Facing Inside Living Space

For the girls celebrating a Birthday this was a perfect home. It was well stocked with all kitchen, bath and outdoor needs. The layout and décor was very good also. The description online for security states there is One camera in the house pointed on the 2 entrances. To view the 2 entrances with one camera, you also capture the entire living space. Possibly even into one of the bedrooms. Exterior cameras are located on each side of the house and also view the outside entrances, which is no problem at all. Just the one inside made us very uncomfortable. I would definitely rent this property again with changes to the inside security camera.

Great place with a beautiful view!

Thanks Kearston your place is really nice and comfortable, from the great couches and wonderful beds to the table by the huge window to watch the boats go by. We loved the awning on the deck and the rockers by the river. It’s a great place for older folks like us or people with kids to enjoy the slide. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Fabulous Island Vacation

Great location, updated property and nicely decorated. Enjoyed getting back to the area. Visiting friends and family. Property is well suited for entertaining. The St Clair Flats water ways offer some the best swimming, boating and fishing. The deck chairs at the waterfront simply the best spot to begin and end each day. Excellent communication with the host throughout the stay. .

Wonderful Getaway

My sisters and I are so happy that we chose this place for a girls trip to getaway and relax. As soon as we walked in the door we we were so happy and excited with the layout and set-up, and the beautiful water view is amazing. This cottage is creatively decorated and very comfortable. Every piece of furniture was very comfortable, and each bed in the cottage was very comfortable as well with nice bedding as well. This cottage was sparkling clean too. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The deck was just lovely to sit and talk and laugh with cocktails looking out at the water. The host was very responsive and easy to talk with. All 3 of us are extremely pleased with our stay and can't wait to go back for some sister time!

Perfect family getaway

We were on the island for a memorial service. This was a perfect place to be. There was plenty of indoor space, but it was the outdoor areas that make this house special, with a large deck, and bonfire area overlooking the channel. It was great to watch all the boats go by! Communication was top-notch, too. I'm a travel writer and frequent renter, so well versed in the market.

Beautiful House

7 of us girls stayed here for a bachelorette party getaway and it was perfect. There's lots of space and the place is beautiful. We especially enjoyed hanging out on the back deck with the nice view of the lake. The property manager was very nice and responsive. We had such a great time!
