Great Family Vacation - perfect for kids!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of 11 thoroughly enjoyed this home. Even though there were a couple of inconveniences, I would definitely stay again. The home was spotless. However, there are a couple of things that need to be addressed. First of all, as other reviewers mentioned, the pots and pans are awful. The teflon coating is scraped off. They are very small and very few. Another thing is that the pool and spa area in the yard is completely dark at night. There are no lights at all - just a few small solar lights around the deck and most are broken. We bought 2 rechargeable camping lights on stands and that solved the problem very well. It is such a lovely space and so much fun in the evening. Lighting is definitely needed to thoroughly enjoy it. We did rent the golf cart and it was great. Response time from management was also very good. We did not have an ice maker all week, but a part had to be ordered, so no one’s fault. All in all, even if nothing changes, we would still happily stay here again. Loved the location and loved the home!

Property was exactly as described. Plenty of room for our family with great beds. The pool was a godsend since hurricane Bertha closed the ocean! I also recommend renting the golf cart. It was great for hauling people and beach gear. It is walkable to beach and there is a bike. Loved this property.

We had a small hiccup when we first got there but the host was amazing on getting back with me and getting someone right out to fix the issue especially since it was a Sunday and busy with tourist coming in. The house was spotless, the pool and heating spa were amazing for the kiddos since they didn't want to go back to the beach due to the unfortunate timing of the sea lice season. Haha overall we would go back. Pots might need to be upgraded soon but nothing to fret over. Thank you Kelley and all for our awesome stay!!

The home itself was exactly what we needed for our women's church retreat. It was clean, spacious, close to the beach, & comfortably fit our large group. We specifically chose this property because of those features & the option to rent the golf cart.We paid extra for the golf cart because several women in our group have physical disabilities & could not easily walk to & from the beach. When we arrived Thursday evening, we discovered we could not access it because the keys were locked away & no instructions had been provided. When we contacted management, we were told to break the lockbox to get the keys. We were not comfortable damaging property or being held responsible for it, so we declined. We were then told someone would come the next day.As a result, we lost an entire evening with an amenity we specifically paid for. The next morning, we were told someone would come "after lunch," making it difficult to plan our day. Only after we expressed our concerns did someone arrive before lunch to unlock it.What disappointed us most was the lack of accountability. There was no apology, no refund offer, & no attempt to make things right. Instead, we had to use our personal vehicles to transport everyone, which was exactly why we rented the golf cart. The home deserves five stars. The property management does not. Better communication & taking responsibility when guests do not receive what they paid for would have made this a much different experience.

DO NOT RECOMMEND, the house itself was great, but we had issues from day one, I have never had to be on the phone dealing with issues EVERY DAY, of our vacation. Both pools were green. The company knew about this issue before we even got there and the issue was only resolved our last day of our 5 day trip, and by then they had to put so many chemicals in it (super shock) we didn’t want to get in it. They offered us a 200 refund for the pool, which for what we paid, (almost 4000 for 5 days) and the fact it was never resolved the entire time was not satisfactory. We let them know that we didn’t feel that a 200 made things right considering it is one of the main things we were looking for when booking a place and the response back with “per your contract we don’t guarantee amenities” garbage, instead of asking how to make it right. The golf cart was on its last leg VERY obviously, and one of the wheels completely FELL OFF while we were driving it. Lucky we were only in the driveway and not going fast enough for someone to be hurt. They did refund us the rental fee for the cart, but that left us walking to the beach, which is farther than we would have liked. They always responded through text right away but then never followed through. Honestly I will never stay at a place managed by this company again and I am a very patient and understanding person but they really dropped the ball and we were very disappointed with our experience.

This really saddens us. We could not control the weather, which in turn the heavy rain gave us green pools. We have do depend on our vendors (pool company) to correct this issue. YES, hey did not do this to our satisfaction either and clearly NOT in a timely manor. Per the agreement you signed, amenities are not compensated for, yet the owner gave you $200.The previous guest that rented the Golf Cart did not tell us about any issues with the cart, therefore, did you break it? Yet, we refunded your cart fee. We feel we have done all we can to "make it right", but some are just not easy to please.

I stayed here for my 60th Birthday. It was just as I had hoped it would be! Secluded, close to the beach, ample space (even at max capacity), swimming pool, spa tub, it was great. Kelly McFarland, with Celebrity Vacation Rentals in Orange Beach, Alabama was so easy to work with. She was very responsive to my many emails and text messages. She was able to resolve a minor issue with the A/C and had a maintenance guy there within an hour of my call on the Saturday before Memorial Day. She definitely made things easier all the way around. Not a single negative thing to say about this home! Definitely staying there again.

Relaxing, clean, and great location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was super clean and spacious. The location was great as well. Only three blocks from the beach but far enough to escape windy days and listen to the nature from the river behind the house. Golf cart is a little old but did its job. They could use a bit more pots and pans. It would be impossible to cook for the amount of people the house sleeps. Other than those 2 small items it was the perfect setup. I would definitely stay again. Thank you.

It was an overall great neighborhood and place to stay. The spa did not work like it was supposed to and 2 of the rooms were not connected to the house itself as you had to go outside and enter a different code to access them. If you are looking for a quote neighborhood and easy access to the beach I would recommend this house. It was a beautiful location.

As a reminder, as it says in the description, the Spa is just a soaking spa. It is not a hot tub nor will it heat like one. the description also explains the home set up. We hoped for a 5 star review. But it does seen you enjoyed your stay and the home.

Great House, with a few problems

Pros: The house itself is a gem. The room layout worked great for our extended family of 12. The neighborhood is quiet and the private beach access is great. Cons: Pool is smaller than we expected based on listing pictures. Still okay for cooling off, but not much else once you get a few people in it. The golf cart we’d reserved was out of service for repairs. No one’s fault, but as a person with disabilities, I think another cart should have been made available for the same rate rather than just telling us we could rent one locally, which is 4x the price. Since there is no vehicle parking at the beach access, and I can’t walk the distance from the house to the beach, I wasn’t able to visit the beach without asking someone to drop me off. The master bathroom has no window coverings and looks directly onto the neighbor’s patio. I was stepping into the shower when I glanced out and saw the neighbor standing there. :) Our teens reported crumbs and a dried contact lens in their “clean” sheets on our first night; I didn’t see those myself, so take that report with a grain of salt. All TVs are streaming only, no cable, which would’ve been fine. But to add an app to the living room TV, we needed a Roku pin that the owner couldn’t provide. They gave us a few guesses to try, but none worked. Normally not a big deal, I know. But there were major world events happening and with a child in the military we needed to watch some live news and couldn’t. Overall, it was just okay.

We certainly apologize about the Golf Cart. We hope to have it replaced soon with a better one! Providing another for you to rent from us immediately was impossible. The above ground swimming pool is one of the largest they make, a 24" X 12', and the soaking tub, is just a small 6'. We did guarantee that the sheets were changed before your arrival, as all are brought in fresh from the laundry facility between each stay, and old removed. Apps were added, human error.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place was perfect for my family of 8 adults and 6 kids under 10. Everyone had their own space the pool and heated pool. Was the kids favorite. The plank was pretty cool. We got to see some alligators overall this house was perfect. We didn’t use the game room. The ping-pong table was a little broken. That was the only downside.

Clean house

Overall it was nice. Very clean. Plenty of kitchen utensils and necessities to help with eating in. Only two things I would’ve liked to enjoy better is a pool that wasn’t easily accessible to our toddlers. It has a gate but doesn’t lock and can go around under the steps. Secondly, I was surprised the second room with a bathroom was in an entire separate part of theHouse that you have to walk outside to get to.

thank you for choosing to stay with us! Yes, in the description of the home, it does point out that the suite downstairs in separate from the home. Also, there is signage everywhere to not leave your children unattended at any time. not only for the pool access, but the "plank" to the back pond. The lock is currently being fixed.
