Welcome to Smoky Mountain Highlander, a charming 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath cabin nestled in Chalet Village—just 3 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Wake up to stunning views of Mt. LeConte from the upper deck with your morning coffee, or unwind in the hot tub on the lower deck as the sun sets behind the peaks. Inside, the main level features an open-concept kitchen and living area with vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a wood-burning fireplace—perfect for cozy gatherings.

The cabin comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests:

Two queen bedrooms, each with a full bath

A queen sleeper sofa in the lower-level rec room

A convenient half bath downstairs

The loft offers a quiet nook for reading or relaxing, while the rec room downstairs includes a pool table and lounge space that opens to the hot tub deck.

Located just 15 minutes from the excitement of Pigeon Forge, this mountain retreat offers both serenity and easy access to local attractions. Please note: roads are paved but steep—4WD or snow chains may be required during winter weather.

Enjoyed our stay, had fun teaching my Grandson to play pool. Nice hot tub, but only used one time. Everything we needed was there. Also enjoyed a few bear sightings, none were too close for comfort, but close enough to see good.

Overall had a great stay. Great views and a few furry guests. Plenty of room for the whole family. The only issues we had were that some of the dishes were either dirty or in poor condition, some kitchen essentials were missing (any kind of storage [tin foil, plastic wrap, etc.], and antibacterial hand soap), and generally the cleaners seemed to have done a mediocre job (dust and cobwebs all over, mildew in the shower (especially in the window), and a couple other things).

Private home with lots of trees. We saw bears every day, which was a treat for us folks from Texas. We enjoyed the hot tub. The beds were comfy. The 2nd bathroom is for baths only - no shower option, so the four of us had to use the one shower downstairs.

Very nice day at a very nice cabin at the top of a hill. The driveway can be a little intimidating initially, but it's workable! The views from the cabin are totally worth it. The beds are very comfortable and everything was nice and clean. Rebecca was a great host, and answered questions for us very promptly. Overall a very nice way to visit the Gatlinburg/SM National Park area

The property is clean but some floor boards and the downstairs bathroom walls were not clean. We had a power outage that the host could not control. There were not any flashlights or any lighting available. There was not any follow up from the host once the power finally came back on.

The views were gorgeous and the kitchen was fully stocked! It was very steep getting up the driveway but nice being at the top of the mountain. It took about 5-7 minutes to get into downtown Gatlinburg and over mountain which was super convenient! We loved staying here!

We stayed for the weekend and it was so great the host was so helpful we were unaware of the snow storm coming and the Host was just so informative about the area and the roads and it was great to have her checking in on us because it was a lot of snow that build up. Also everything worked flawlessly the hot water was great and the hot tub was nice and hot overall jus a great gateway for the weekend we couldn’t be more pleased with our stay thank you so much..

The house was excellent. The back deck looked out over Gatlinburg allowing us to watch the tram on Ober mountain. Being at the end of the road, we had minimal distraction from neighbors. I would imagine the view with the leaves changing would be indescribable. The dining table provided us with a great amount of space to play games. We were able to communicate with the host very easily. Ease of access to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and downtown Gatlinburg was absolute perfection.

The mountain view was absolutely amazing. There's a nice deck with some chairs and a hot tub or a great view from the living room. A family of any age would be perfectly comfortable here. It's the right mixture of being tucked away and having some alone time and being right next to everything you need.

Our stay was excellent. Great location, great views (including bears), very nicely prepared cabin. Will definitely save for future vacations.

Wow, what a beautiful place! Within 15 minutes of getting there, we reached out to see if we could extend our stay. From the wood burning fireplace to the breathtaking views, it’s everything you would want in a relaxing getaway. Just be warned that the driveway is super tight and the road to get to the cabin is a super steep and windy mountain pass. We did our best to avoid driving at night.

Not only is it a beautiful and clean cabin, the scenery is amazing! Shortly after arrival we were greeted by a bear. We know where we will stay when we return.
