Welcome to Kalena's Kabana, located on a small barrier island along the central Florida east coast. Our villa is nestled in the premier neighborhood of Melbourne Beach. Enjoy pristine uncrowded beaches, parks, bars, restaurants, and a laid-back community vibe. Melbourne/Orlando Airport and Port Canaveral Cruises are minutes away from this prime location.

During your stay you may simply enjoy the pleasure of relaxing here and taking short excursions around town and the beach in the add-on golf cart, with Sunsets at Melbourne Beach Pier on the river a favorite day's end. The Cart is a unique amenity to our Kabana that guests are thrilled to use.

Inside the Kabana we have gone to great length to provide top-shelf amenities while anticipating your every need. Outside you have a spacious courtyard, a unique sand "beach" with fire pit, and a covered summer kitchen pavilion fully equipped to BBQ. Your outside space extends back from the courtyard along a private path to your own private wooden deck overlooking our oversized salt-water pool. Swim. Sun. Enjoy a cool drink in a lush tropical environment.

Suggested activities include day trips to Orlando theme parks (one hour away), Sebastian Inlet State Park, the Kennedy Space Center (this area is named the "The Space Coast"), and so much more. Check out our guest guidebook for suggestions.

Have a dog or service dog? No worries! They are invited too. Be able to verify your dog has up to date shots along with good flea treatment prior to visiting, and that they are well behaved so they can enjoy a vacation as well. We allow one or two dogs that have a combined weight less than 60 Lbs. We request your pet does not go in the master bedroom as it has thick pile blue carpet, and if you take them to the beach or on a outing that you bathe them and dry them prior to re-entering the kabana. 

Please email us if you wish to take advantage of the golf cart or pet lodging at host@kelenaskabana.com. This insures we are ready to serve these requests.

Host was very attentive, Kabana was comfortable with a well stocked kitchen and nice shower, bathroom. Quiet location and not too far from stores and beaches. We would highly recommend this rental.

Our hosts were wonderful, Kelen makes sure you have everything you need and I do mean everything. Fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing, the golf cart was too much fun and got us to the beaches in minutes for amazing sunrises and sunsets. The outdoor kitchen was all we needed for the best BBQ’s. I loved all the outdoor seating. High top seating with a fireplace was great for drinks and watching the moon. Pool and privacy perfect. The Melbourne Beach market was a quick golf car ride and had all you needed from wine to hand dipped ice cream. If we head back to Melbourne Beach we would love to stay there again, and hopefully we will.

We had a wonderful experience at this Melbourne Beach property and couldn't have asked for a better vacation rental. The amenities were excellent and the house was incredibly well-stocked with everything we needed - from kitchen essentials to linens and beyond. It's clear the owners put a lot of thought into making guests feel at home. We would absolutely stay here again.

The Best Vacation

Your own private getaway

This place is the best! You feel like you're on your own private island with all the beautiful greenery and the sand pit!. Kelen has thought of everything! You just need to pack your swimsuit and that's it. She provides everything you could possibly need and even suggests great food options and provides you a map to get around on the golf cart, which was another great added perk. Absolutly nothing to complain about! We loved it and would recommend for everyone to stay here and will be back for another getaway! See you soon Kelen!

An absolute delight

Seldom do you rent holiday accommodation that feels like a home away from home but this one is absolutely that.Everything that you think you need, but always forget to bring, was provided and Kelen had thought of literally everything.The Kabana was exactly as described and quite honestly the pictures didn’t do it justice it was quite something.The pool and outside spaces were lovely and we used and enjoyed them nearly every day of our 4 week stay. The bikes provided were a lot of fun and the neighbourhood is entirely safe to cycle around which again we enjoyed daily.We never did get round to using the golf cart as we had rented a car for the duration, but we would probably think of using it as an alternative on our next visit as the neighbourhood is ideal for its use and it would make a huge saving financially should we decide to take advantage of its use.Kelen and Gary were lovely and we enjoyed meeting them and they were most welcoming. Their policy is to remain invisible while you are there so that you can enjoy the property as though it were your own. We did however enjoy their company when we did meet up and have come away with the feeling that we met and made a couple of firm friends that we will stay in touch with.We would definitely book again and would have no hesitation in recommending others to do so.

Great Property!

My husband, , two granddaughters (ages 4 &7), two boys ( pets) and I had a wonderful stay at Kelena’s Kabana. Gary and Kelena couldn’t have been any nicer! We spent days on the beach, at the pool and drove to Orlando a couple of days to visit the parks while we visited Melbourne. The boys enjoyed evening rides on the golf cart & we loved having the use of it to go to and from the beach. It helped keep our car clean & virtually sand-free. We even got to see a rocket launch while visiting. The outdoor kitchen area was a nice place to cook and enjoy our meals & it kept the house from getting hot while preparing meals. The fire pit was a nice touch & was great for enjoying s’mores with the kids. Kelena and Gary have put so much thought into what one might need while staying there and have taken the comfort of their guests seriously. The kabana was well stocked and so organized! We very much enjoyed our stay and will certainly visit again!

Beautiful

The Kabana is a wonderful retreat. Very private, nice neighborhood and very well maintained. The owner has gone to great lengths decorating this place so visitors feel comfortable and relaxed after their stay. The place is well stocked with everything you will need. The shower is to die for. I highly recommend staying here.

Everything and More

Kelena's Kabana was a wonderful and unique retreat for us while we were visiting our son. This unit was super cute, private, and stocked with everything you could imagine you might need. Gary and Kelen were so friendly and accommodating and made you feel welcome. The patio and pool area were a beautiful spacous extension of the indoors. We utilized the fire pit, outdoor kitchen and patio every day! The Kabana is very pet friendly and the patio, outdoor kitchen, firepit, and dog potty area are fenced in to keep your pet with you while you are enjoying the outdoors. A highlight of the week was being able to take the golfcart to the beach and around town. It was so convenient to get to the beach, or to watch the sunset from the Melbourne Beach Pier or Ryckman Park. We had a wonderful stay and made some great memories!

Peaceful and fun

We had a family of four stay for 4 nights. Highly recommend the golf cart to cruise to beach or downtown. We had a great time exploring Melbourne Beach, Cocoa Beach and even St. Augustine one day. We went to local mass, beach, played disc golf, breweries, sports bars for march madness games, etc. The house was perfect. 4 days was max for family of 4 because a little tight but if only 2 we would have stayed a week. We took advantage of outdoor space with grill and fire pit. Even make fresh squeezed OJ in the mornings. Nice spot!

Spectacular Hosts

There is nothing the hosts didnt think of to make this an amazing stay. The property is beautifully dercorated and has every ammenity you could possibly need or want. The hosts live on the property and are available to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Kelen left us a welcome basket of Florida oranges to make fresh squeezed juice and cute beach themed doughnuts. Our dog was traveling with us and was very welcomed. The property is in a great location to great dinning options and is within walking distance to the beach. We will 100% stay here again if we are back in the area.

Winter Escape

A private, peaceful and beautifully landscaped property that provided the winter escape we needed from cold weather. The warm, fragrant air was the first thing I noted when we parked our car in the guest spot. The Kebana was well supplied with everything we needed for our stay and within walking distance to the beach and golf course. Comfortable accommodations and spa shower. If the weather had been better we definitely would have used the outdoor grill and kitchen with a sitting area in the Florida sand. Hosts were very responsive when needed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great kabana

From start to finish Kelen the host thought of everything. The unit was very clean and well appointed. The location was just what at we wanted and everything went well. Highly recommend this rental and who knows, we may be back again since Melbourne is one of favorite places. A hidden gem.

Kelen & Gary have a beautiful place that is bigger than it looks and is in pristine condition. She thought of everything and made the unit so comfortable with lots of thoughtful extra touches. They are the nicest people and I would definitely come back!

Great Stay At Melbourne Beach

Perfect quiet spot for a low key getaway

We wanted a quiet spot to chill for the week with our own pool and this was perfect. Lovely outdoor spaces and just the right amount of indoor room for our small family. The hosts have put a lot of thought and care into all the little details. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Easy Beach Access

Our family had an amazing time. If you use their golf cart you have a locals parking sticker. We were able to park at the local beach. The property is clean and beautifully landscaped/decorated. All essentials were provided, even a special towel for my dog. We couldn’t have asked for better accommodations and hope to be back, although we may try to book their larger property that holds 14 next time. Great experience, and just what our family needed!

Everything you need.

The property is great. Comfy bed and even the pull out couch was comfortable. Every amenity has been thought of. Soap, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, paper towels; a toaster, blender, toaster oven, range top, keriug coffee maker, sunscreen, bug spray… We used the grill to make steaks from the local market. There were seasonings in the outdoor kitchen as well as foil and other grill items. Rent the golf cart. It was so easy to put everything on it (beach towels, chairs, umbrella, beach bag, football, cooler provided) and drive 2 minutes around the corner to the beach; which is super nice and quiet. Excellent hosts who recommended a few things to us and then gave us privacy. My daughter swam in the pool once, but we loved the beach. The grounds are very pretty with tropical foliage. We used the 2 bikes a few times (lock provided). Just a perfect vacation. Would recommend to anyone.

Sun & surf paradise.

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Kelen's and Gary's "kabana." It was as advertised. They thought of all the amenities that guests would need for their stay. The place is beautifully decorated and spotless; the kitchen is well-stocked. We enjoyed meeting the sweet owners who were very communicative prior to and during our stay. They also provided suggestions on places to visit and dine at. The beaches were minutes away and had ample parking. We'll be back to visit when our travels take us back to Melbourne Beach!

What a great place to stay, looks just as advertised. We could not have asked for better owners than Kelen and Gary, they really care about their guests. Especially liked all the outdoor space, privacy and quiet which is really important to us. We would love to come back.
