Bar Harbor Vacaty

The house was perfect. Very roomy and the outdoor space is well designed for comfort and social time. The house is a short walk from down town. Overall a perfect place to stay!

What a great location! It’s so close to Main Street and all our needs were within walking distance. The house was big enough for 16 of us. The 2.5 bathrooms tested our patience, cvbut we had the maximum people for the house and it worked! H

Bar Harbor Gem

The Sherman House was just what we needed, a home away from home. Christine was lovely to deal with and it shows how much she cares for the home. Location was incredible, as was the neighborhood, walking distance to everything and a 5 min drive to Acadia. We couldn’t have had a better time. Thank you for sharing your home with us! We hope to be back soon.

Number one about this property is location. An excellent location for walking and enjoying all that Bar Harbor had to offer. We were a party of eight, originally expected to be 10 adults, but two could not make it. Bar Harbor itself was very enjoyable with many options for dining and the enjoyment of water activities, along with Acadia Park. This home was overall clean based on the age of the property, but our biggest issue in the reason for three stars, there would be no way to fit 16 people certainly adults into this home. We fit our eight comfortably and had one extra small bedroom that had two twin beds. Two rooms had a single person in what looked to be either a full or queen bed, perhaps 12 people. The bathroom situation was not ideal but doable for our party of eight. More than this and it would be very difficult. One bathroom was generous down the hallway with double sinks a decent size shower and modern toilet. The second bathroom was en suite to one bedroom had a tiny sink, small crowded toilet and a shower that was roughly 2‘ x 2‘. The half bath was literally under the stairs in what would normally be a closet but at least it provided a third toilet and a extremely small sink for basic needs. A positive was the amenities and the outdoor living space. We did not appreciate a 650 cleaning fee where we had to strip all beds and separate sheets and towel towels and start a load. Great location but too many .

Perfect vacation

A wonderful home perfectly situated to enjoy all the amenities of Mount Desert Island. Walking distance to great restaurants, the waterfront, a major grocery store, great ice cream vendors, and enough retail to ensure you part with your money! The home has everything needed to enjoy a true vacation. A full kitchen, great backyard with table, fire pit, and barbecue. and plenty of space inside so that even with 15 of us, we never felt crowded. Bar Harbor is a great spot, and Mount Desert Island is an aweswome four-season destination. We recommend this place with enthusiasm.

Fabulous Stay in Bar Harbor

The house was just right for our family vacation with 3 families sharing the rental. The location is perfect. It was an easy walk to everywhere in Bar Harbor. The house is really beautiful inside with nice sized rooms. The kitchen is great and well-equipped. There are plenty of sitting areas, which made it comfortable for our large group.The backyard area and parking for 4 cars were two added bonuses that we really utilized. ( And after seeing the parking difficulties in town, we really appreciated the spaces.)We were within 15 minutes of most points we visited in Acadia. I can’t recommend this property enough. Really fabulous stay and accommodating host.

The house was big, well-equipped, clean, comfortable, and with a great outdoor space. The location is also fabulous, within easy walking distance to everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia. Would definitely rent it again!

The size of the house was perfect for our 3-generation group - we used all 6 bedrooms. The kitchen had plenty of supplies for all of our meals, and we could all sit around the dining room table. All of the games were a plus - we played most of them. Best of all was the location - just a short walk to the grocery store and all of downtown Bar Harbor.
