Three cottages for family time, sit by the fire pit on the ocean near ACADIA NP!

PLEASE NOTE: The POOL is solar-heated and water temperature is weather-dependent. The pool and dock are open in July and Aug, with a possibility of earlier and/or later availability. The Pool house pictured directly behind the pool is closed and NOT part of the rental compound.

Discover the charm and beauty of Sea Heather Compound, situated on the shores of Mt. Desert Narrows and Eastern Bay with shared access to a private, heated swimming pool. Three light-filled, comfortable, family-friendly, clean cottages, are ready for your adventures on Mt. Desert Island!

Advertised rates include the three cottages steps from the pool (Pool house, pictured directly behind the pool, is not included in the compound rental). Please inquire if you are interested in renting an individual cottage. Pool, dock, and fire pit area are shared between tenants renting a portion of the property. *Please note: the pool and dock are available in July and August, possibly in June and September.

Cottage #1:
SEA HEATHER (3 bedrooms/2 baths, sleeps 6) This is the largest of the three cottages.
FIRST FLOOR: Entry from the non-water side of the house opens to a fabulous eat-in kitchen with a large table that easily seats eight, plus counter seating for two. The Kitchen comfortably opens to a spacious Living Room with cathedral ceilings, a wall of windows overlooking the lawn and shoreline below, a large screened TV, plenty of cozy seating, and doors to the front deck. A Bedroom with a Queen and a shared Full Bath with a stall shower also features doors leading to the front deck.

SECOND FLOOR: To the left of the stairs, a Primary Bedroom features a King Bed, doors to a balcony overlooking the water, and an en suite Full Bath with a spectacular walk-in glass shower. To the right of the stairs, a Bedroom with two Double Beds and a unique window overlooking the Living Area and out to the water views. Note that this bedroom would share the 1st-floor full bath or the en suite bath in the Primary Bedroom.

Cottage #2
ROSA RUGOSA (2 bdrms/1 bath, sleeps 4)
FIRST FLOOR: Stairs lead from the driveway to a furnished front deck and entry to a combined Kitchen and Living area with a table that seats four. Though small, the galley-style Kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals at home. A roomy Bedroom with a King Bed and Full Bath with a stall shower is also found on the first floor.

SECOND FLOOR: At the top of a very narrow staircase, a bedroom with Twins features windows overlooking the living area and enjoys water views beyond, but don't worry - the windows and bedroom can be closed off for privacy when appropriate.

Cottage #3:
WATER LILY
FIRST FLOOR: From its water-facing entry, step into this sweet bungalow which proves that good things do come in small packages! Open interiors, studio-style, with a large propane fireplace dividing the sleeping area from the kitchen and a beautiful Asian screen providing privacy from the bathroom area. Wall mounted TV, with deluxe king-sized Bed. Although lacking a full Kitchen, guests have sufficient counter appliances (apartment-sized fridge, convection toaster oven, microwave, and coffee maker) to prepare simple meals or morning coffee. Full Bath with extra large walk-in shower and separate commode room for privacy.

OUTDOOR SPACES: Furnished deck with pretty views across the water to the mainland beyond as well as a comfortable spot to dine or relax outside. Nice yard space for safe play, and, best of all - just a short walk from the house a luxurious heated pool is available for guests' use, shared with the other three residences on the property, one of which is the owner's. The other two residences may or may not be occupied by tenants. A shared fire pit space is also available for tenants' use. Stairs lead to the protected, kid-friendly shorefront, mostly composed of shale, rocky sand, and some ledge.

EXTRAS: Shared swimming pool, new dock, and beautiful stone fire pit to enjoy! Please note: The pool is typically available during July and August, with possible availability before or after—please inquire. It is heated using solar power, so the temperature may vary depending on the weather.
