Second stay at this property and I would highly recommend. Location cannot be beat. Communication impeccable, Only con (which I don’t know how you can fix) is the amount of smoking on the beach. With the wind blowing there’s a consistent cigarette odor in the air. Property says smoke free and the beach is private property so I assume same rules apply. Again, not a show stopper by any means just a nuisance for non smokers.

First, very few of the photos matched the actual condition of the condo. The unit needs a lot of TLC. There were dings in the walls, uneven paint patches, and multiple cobwebs throughout. The outside balcony actually seemed unsafe with the defects in the floor. While the condo was somewhat clean, it definitely wasn’t up to the standard we’ve experienced in other Crystal Sands units.The ice maker took an extremely long time to start working and the bathroom sink drained very slowly. On top of that, the thermostat was set on a programmed schedule that repeatedly raised the temperature to 79 degrees. We returned to a hot condo more than once— including in the middle of the night—until we finally figured out how to override it.We’ve stayed at Crystal Sands several times and have always had great experiences, but we will not be staying in this particular unit again.”

We sincerely apologize for the condition of the condo, including the cosmetic issues, cobwebs, and concerns with the balcony. We take your comments regarding the balcony particularly seriously, as the safety and comfort of our guests are always a top priority. We will be sure to have these concerns inspected and addressed. We also apologize for the issues with the ice maker, slow-draining sink, and thermostat settings. We understand how frustrating it must have been to return to an uncomfortable temperature, especially during the night. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention so they can be reviewed and corrected. We’re disappointed that this unit did not provide the experience you’ve enjoyed during your previous stays at Crystal Sands. Your feedback has been shared with our team and the property owner, and we will use it to help ensure the necessary improvements are made. Great place to stay right on the beach!

The complex is well kept and the condo we rented was very nice. There are lots of restaurants within a short drive. We enjoy trying new restaurants. We went out early every morning to enjoy the sunrise and every evening to walk on the beach and look for crabs. We had a great time!

Million dollar view

Property was very warm and inviting, quiet and million dollar view off the balcony. Spotless, I would come back in a second. Loved our stay, wouldn’t stay any where else.

Perfect!

The place was better than pictured! Access to the beach was easy and the chair/umbrella service was a big plus. The location was a short driving distance to many good restaurants and shopping. Enjoyed my morning coffee on the balcony with the ocean view. I would certainly go here again.

Perfect trip!

We had a wonderful trip! Condo and location were perfect! We initially had 6 people going, but ended up just 3 of us. Everything was good except I would like to mention the third bedroom is really for children. It is in the sloped roof and adjoined to upstairs bathroom and bedroom.

Beautiful property in great location!

Great neighborhood, clean property, easy communication! Simple maintenance issue reported thru app & was handled the very next morning. Condo is as pictured in listing. Beautiful! Wish the master bedroom bed was more comfortable. The mattress is very stiff but I still slept well enough. I would definitely stay here again & will recommend to friends!

Destin vacay

Location was great! Simple and short walk to the beach! Unit was not clean…. (Several things were broken, stains on the curtains, carpets, and walls. Shower curtain was dirty)

Location is Great

This unit needs an update on the living room furniture. Can't even describe the chairs. We brought in the outdoor chairs from the balcony to sit in. The couch also needs replaced. We cleaned off the handrail going upstairs which appeared to not have been cleaned for a while. Bed was good and bathroom nice. Kitchen had been updated. Yes, we were there for the beach and it did not disappoint, but at some time you need to go inside. Would not stay in this unit again.

Nice place overall

The location was convenient to everything in Destin with just a short drive. The beach service was great with the chair and umbrella set ups. The beach access was private and was much better than the adjacent crowded beaches. On the downside - the pool was a dissapointment. It's located on the parking lot side of the condo and looked like it needed some attention with cracking, etc. The unit was nice - balcony sliding door would not lock, the living room ceiling fan would not turn off and the microwave was a challenge to make it work properly. These were fairly minor issues and we would definitely recommend the property to others.

Amazing location

Perfect location, close to lots of activities for the young adults and the granddaughter. Amazing beach front! Perfect for goofing off in the water or just hanging on the beach. Everyone was very nice around us, we had no problems with our stay at all. The condo was nice and clean. The only thing we would say is that the master bed needs replaced. I know we are a bit picky with our bed, but it is really uncomfortable and squeaks ever move you make! Loudly! Main bathroom shower is pretty low but that is not a big deal. Everything else is beautiful and the beach decor was very cute. We would stay again. ( Definitely if the master bed was changed.) 😄 I would recommend this condo for anyone from a couple to a small family. It is great!

Love the Sands @ Crystal Beach

These are my our favorite condo’s in Destin. This time we stayed in 315A. Unit itself was good, mostly clean. We had some issues with our stay. First was clogged sink with bathroom on the first floor. Which we ended up fixing ourself. Dirty laundry in the washer, dryer lint cage broken & the accordion door for the stackable was broken. Maintenance did fix the door & took the dirty laundry. I didn’t realize the lint cage was broken until after maintenance left & I looking at it all after they left. We just decided to not do laundry at all, I just hand washed & hung to dry. Sofa had some stains, we put sheets over it so we didn’t have to sit on the stains. I know that sounds like a lot but we worked it out & had a great time & stay. Beds & bathrooms were clean & plenty of towels. We had to leave a day earlier because of family emergency. Ocean Reef was helpful to us & polite. Beach Service was top notch as always.

For the Most Part. A great Stay.

For the most part it was a good rental. Overall Clean. Personally not worth $3000 for a week. Several Cometic Fawls. One Balcony Door is BROKE and won’t Open! The Tub upstairs the handle is loose or something. I turned the water on for my son. And he started screaming and it BURNING HOT. I thought he had just messed with the handle at first but when it happen to me. It moves to hot on its own! The Couch had Stains. The Bottom bedrooms fan doesn’t flow air good. SO HUMID! The thermostat is mandated to stay on 70. It got very hot in the rental during the day and night at times. At 70 I couldn’t imagine staying there in the summer! The pool is not HEATED and the lock doesn’t not work. Not just us but everyone was having problems getting in it. For the most it was a good rental. And I wouldn’t mind the $3000 again if these were fixed. It just seems like a money for somewhere to have several things that needs to be fixed, renovation or updated.
