Only 2.8 miles from Downtown Murphy with quaint shops and fabulous dining and 6 miles from Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino, local amenities are sure to please. A Touch of Heaven is ideally located in southwest North Carolina in the Smoky Mountains with a 180-degree panoramic view of the mountain range that is unobstructed during all seasons.

If you’re tired of an endless mountain drive to get to a cabin with our type of view, incredibly, A Touch of Heaven is an easy 7-minute drive from the intersection of Hwy 74 and 64 in Murphy. A paved road leads to our driveway with flat parking suitable for 4 vehicles. You may never want to leave the chalet to enjoy the multitude of activities within an easy 10 to 30-minute drive. But if you do, Hiawassee is a lake-town a half hour away with watersports and more shopping. Historic Hayesville and Brasstown are about a 20-minute drive, and near Brasstown, you will find the John C. Campbell Folk Art School. And the Smoky Mountain range offers endless hiking, kayaking, white-water rafting or off-roading activities.

A visit to Murphy and the Smoky Mountains is all about the mountain experience. Within an hour’s drive, you’ll find several of our other favorite towns, including Helen and Blue Ridge, GA, Bryson City, Franklin, and Robbinsville, NC where you could drive or ride our favorite track – The Tail of the Dragon, and return to Murphy via the Cherohala Skyway with numerous scenic stops along the way.

From morning to night our decks provide the views that will quickly melt away any stress you’ve brought with you. Start off the morning enjoying your coffee while marveling at the clouds as they drift across the Smoky Mountains. Play a game of pool, foosball or cornhole while you enjoy the mountain air. Later, fire up the grill and prepare your steaks, burgers, and chicken, all to be enjoyed at the dining table while enjoying the gas fireplace below the 65’ TV. At night, enjoy the sounds of nature on our covered and private deck while star gazing.

Your 2,800 square foot luxury chalet comfortably accommodates 6 guests. Each bedroom is beautifully appointed with king size beds, luxury linens, a 55’ flat screen Smart TV and a bathroom.
