The condo was super clean and comfortable! It was well stocked and had everything we needed. The condo is in a very secure location and access to the beach is great! The pool is well kept and a perfect spot to cool off and relax after beaching or fishing all day. Our host Helen was helpful, friendly and accommodating. I’ll definitely stay again!

We met up with family in Matagorda for the weekend. This place was perfect for our group of 5. The pool was amazing and we were the perfect distance from the beach. The view was awesome! Helen was amazing and so easy to get in touch with. Will definitely stay again!

Perfect spot for beach, fishing, and relaxing

We enjoyed the full kitchen and efficiency of the condo. It was clean and the grounds kept nicely groomed. The deck was perfect for sunsets and the pool was a welcome refresher after a day on the beach. We will stay here again!

If this tag line is true then this is a gem! This condo is located just a few minutes walk from the beach where you can walk miles! We loved our two days here so enjoyed the gem we discovered. thank you.

Disappointing first impression. We knew it may not be the experience we anticipated when the front door would not open fully, and cannot even describe the smell when we walked in. Numerous sand burrs throughout the condo so wore shoes at all times. The reviews mentioned it was apparent there had been recent upgrades but none to be seen. We literally purchased cleaning supplies and air fresheners the next day. A list of items causing concern included, disgusting bathroom ceiling fan, dirty living room chairs and rug, kitchen drawers dirty had to be wiped down, and utensils needed to be cleaned, broken toilet stool, patched bathroom sink, tub would drain extremely slowly, don't forget the 3 inch cockroach in the bathroom. However, it is not all bad. We love the pool area, distance to the beach, the town of Matagorda with its coffee shops and boutiques, and the condo itself was cute. Property needed a major deep cleaning and perhaps some upgrades as the reviews had mentioned! I have come to this condo community for over 6 years and saddened we did not have the experience we had hoped for. However, we turned lemons into lemonade and still made our own fun and memories were made. What more can one ask for.

Great location, but the unit itself left a lot to be desired. One or two of these things are inevitable in any vacation rental, but this is the complete list of reasons why I do not recommend this unit and question the professionalism of the property managers.- Door lock has a mind of its own, it would not unlock or lock consistently. Yes, we triple checked the code- Bathtub drains slowly and fills with 3-4 in of water while showering- Dead cockroaches in corner of primary bedroom and living room- Ripped bed sheets and outdoor pillow- Keurig sounds like it's on its last leg took 20 minutes to make one cup of coffee- Toilet stand is cracked- Floor is uneven to the point where the door can't open all the way without forcing it which scratches the tile- Many cracks in the walls probably foundation issues- Upstairs closet ceiling sagging about 6 in around the light fixture. It looks like water is pooling inside it- Ice maker in the freezer does not work- The two passwords that were given for Wi-Fi do not work- When I asked Helen why the water was yellow, she said it was probably because we were so close to the beach. I guarantee you, other houses this close to the beach don't have yellow water. So it must have something to do with this property- Ripped furniture in the living room- Water stain on the ceiling in the living room near the entrance- Stains on the towels in the bathroom and kitchen- Missing lightbulb on headboard

Most all our guests love this unit. The guest was contacted when he initially arrived on Friday afternoon and advised to please contact me with any questions or concerns. Guest had no communication until Saturday evening before Sunday Morning check out regarding WiFi then escalated into a list of concerns and ultimately requested a refund which was denied. These issues could have been addressed upon arrival.

Would rent again.

It is a nice, clean family type atmosphere There really weren't too many kids ( schools not out yet) so we had the nice , clean large pool too our selves at times. Very relaxing. It is close enough to town if you want something to do or there are food truck type eating places that are excellent . Its a great get away from hustle and busle and walk along the ocean not being over crowded.

Perfect spot

Host was outstanding. Cold snap had snapped the heating in the unit; they generously upgraded us to a wonderful 2br. What a view in all directions. We want to go back when we can enjoy the pool. So much to do at the edge of Texas, even in cold weather.

Family Vacation

Very clean, quiet and well kept property. Pool is a huge plus on this island. Especially with the swim up bar/canopy. Helen was gracious enough to meet me and show which unit was ours. Also the personal charcoal grill for our unit was a great surprise. Location is great as well. Just one turn and you were on the beach, a couple of minuntes drive from the property. With the 4th of July traffic the 4x4 was a must.

Matagorda Fishing Trip

Location near beach and River Rd and not too far from the marina. Owner/Manager was very accommodating. The condo met our needs and the fishing trip was a success.

Great condo for a small family

I went with my 2 sons (9 and 12) and we had a great stay. I had the option to either rent a house or rent this condo. The reason I went with the condo is that it had a big pool and a lake where the kids could pratice some fishing. That turned out a great decision as the pool and the lake kept them busy for hours every day(when we were not at the beach). The condo is also on the island right next to the pool so the kids could just walk downstairs to the pool. I'll definitely stay here again when visiting Matagorda beach
