Beautifully appointed, Cozy & Inviting. Private & quiet. Watch the whales while sipping coffee from your perched widow, or down on the "Edge" where you can fully experience the crashing waves. Skylights allow stargazing from your cozy antique, hand-made bed. Situated 5 min. from Mendocino & Fort Bragg. Great hiking trails, fun on the beach. Then come home to enjoy the ocean from the large hot tub and star gazing right from bed!

Hosts were wonderful. Hot tub wasn't working but they did their best to get it repaired and offered compensation when they could not. The room and place were cozy, clean and excellent.

This was a magnificent place to be! Quiet, remote, and what a view! The only thing I’d suggest to other renters is that it wasn’t quite as private as we were expecting. It is billed as a cottage, and apartment would have been more accurate, as it is a very small unit over the garage, and the cleaning person (who is delightful) lives just below. Just something to be aware of. It was a delightful stay nonetheless!

Myra was welcoming and gave a great tour of the property and amenities Myra left a delicious fruit tart It is a million dollar view The description of the property is a cottage with a kitchen It is a loft over a garage with a steep set of stairs and it was a kitchenette with no stove I had planned on cooking so I wouldn’t have brought the food had I known there was no stove

Property details need to be more accurate

Disappointing Stay – Misleading Property DescriptionWe were very disappointed with our stay at this property due to several misleading aspects of the listing. Nowhere in the description did it mention the steep set of stairs required to access the unit, which would have been important to know in advance. Additionally, we were surprised to find that the caretaker lives directly below the rental unit, something that was not disclosed in the listing.One of the main reasons we chose this property was the advertised private hot tub, but in reality, it was far from private. The hot tub is positioned in a way that makes it visible from two sides of the house, which made us feel uncomfortable to use it so we didn’t. The steep stairway was also not disclosed as we struggled with going up and down those stairs which for us made it a struggle to carry up our luggage. Overall, this property did not meet our expectations due to these misleading details. If transparency and privacy are important to you, I would recommend looking elsewhere.I am not a fan of writing reviews as there is always 2 sides to a story. This is however is more about the listing and the accuracy of it.

Perfect Beachfront Escape

My husband and I had an incredible stay at this beautiful property! The pictures on this site are accurate and thorough but do not do it justice. We can’t oversell the proximity to the ocean! We could watch and hear the waves from our room and from the cliffside chairs overlooking the ocean. And if you want to get even closer, it’s a short walk to be on the beach, which has limited access. We walked to the beach several times and we were the only ones there.The bed was so comfortable, and we loved the skylight above it; we could have reached out and touched the Big Dipper! The hot tub is kept at the perfect temperature (I would suggest packing your swimsuits). This is on me, but as the Vrbo site lists ‘Kitchen’ as an amenity, I was thinking we could cook there. While there is a microwave and toaster oven, it does not have an oven/range. However, I didn’t mind the excuse to visit more restaurants there! There is a mini fridge with a small freezer, which was perfect for our needs. You are on the host’s property, but we had plenty of privacy and we only saw our host by pre-arrangement. The host, Myra, was lovely and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Her attention to detail and hospitality truly made our stay memorable. We are very grateful that she chooses to share this gorgeous space with others. We can’t wait to return the next time we need an ocean fix!

Safe refuge from the storm

When we checked in we noticed the bed was a queen instead of a king as promised by their listing. When mentioned, the host promised she’d update the listing. We were lucky to have found this property as we were staying there during the recent deluge of rain. The property has a generator that came on automatically 3 times due to community power outages. In fact, the host was able to extend our stay as we were unable to continue due to widespread road closures. The property was small and cozy, but the views were amazing!

Dreaming of Daydream!

This "Daydream" was real! The view from the large window was amazing. We could sit and watch the ocean waves coming onto the beach all day. Or we could take a short walk and be on the beach ourselves. The window over the bed allowed us to view the stars every night. And you couldn't ask for better hosts! Myra and Enrique went above and beyond what was expected. Very generous! I do regret that we never seemed to have the time to use the hot tub. Maybe next time. I'll be thinking of this trip all winter!

Cozy Loft

We absolutely loved staying in this cozy, comfortable loft. It was in a quiet location and had the most stunning ocean views. Our host Myra met us upon arrival in the rain as she held her umbrella. She welcomed us with a big smile and gave us a tour. I would highly recommend this peaceful retreat that sits on an ocean bluff with the most beautiful view of the beach and ocean. It was a comfortable, peaceful and a beautiful location. We will definitely be back.

Charming Loft

Lovely quiet loft with a fantastic view of the ocean right from the living room window. Located close to Fort Bragg and many wonderful beaches to visit. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future.

Anniversary getaway

We had an amazing trip away. It’s the perfect location for rest and relaxation, with the beach and sunset on the cliff just a few steps away. Restaurants and shops, and sightseeing excursions all just a few mins drive. Myra was the perfect host, setting us up in a beautiful cottage style flat. Highly recommend!

A Delightful Spot

We bought Daydreams 24 years ago after falling in love with the view, the climate, the people, and the beautiful surroundings. Jughandle state park on one side of our property and the ocean, accessible beach in our back yard. Beautiful sunsets and relaxed time on the "Edge".

It took us 5 years to find this home; it had to be "on the ocean"; not just a pretty view, but "on the ocean". Now, after 24years, I can't imagine living any where else. This is our little slice of heaven that gives us great joy to share it with others.

Situated exactly in the middle between Mendocino and Fort Bragg. 6 minutes to either town. Beautiful sunsets, daydream walks to the beach below or out to the point to watch the amazing sunsets & newborn seals. Daydreams practices energy-efficient living with solar energy heating for the over-sized hot tub for 24-hr use, and all electricity use in the loft, as well our houme..
