Charming Oceanside Cottage in Duck
Welcome to Luna Blu Cottage, a charming oceanside cottage located in the town of Duck. This 4-Bedroom, 2.5-Bathroom cottage is just 1500 feet from the beach and has designated parking at the private beach access lot down this street. Enjoy the luxury of having your own Private Pool* and warm, bubbly Hot Tub, or venture out to the Tuckahoe Community Pool and Tennis Courts for even more fun. Whip up some delicious seafood on the Gas Grill by the pool and enjoy free Wi-Fi, cable, 3 TVs throughout the home, as well as games and a video/book library to keep everyone entertained during your stay. New and updated for 2025, Luna Blu Cottage also now has a sunroom for guests to relax and curl up with their favorite beach read while enjoying the new decking and updated colors!

On the Ground Level of this beautifully, blue cottage, you'll find plenty of parking as well as a Covered Carport. Go straight inside to find your ideal Outer Banks comfort, or head out back to the luxurious Private Pool* with lounge furniture and picnic tables with umbrellas to relax and unwind after your drive to the beach. Soak in the warm, bubbly Hot Tub after a fun day at the beach and rinse off in the Outdoor Shower.

Make your way upstairs to the Middle Level where you'll find the Laundry Area, conveniently located nearby for quick mid-week washes and fluffing up those beach towels. Get some rest in one of the 2 Queen Bedrooms and the Bedroom with 2 Twins Beds that ensure everyone gets their own private space to recuperate while on vacation while still getting to enjoy being together as a family. Enjoy mid-level balconies, which are accessible from several of the rooms, are perfect for early morning peace and quiet over a cup of coffee or evenings spent watching the stars.

The beach-themed bright Living Area is perfect for relaxing with board games as you plan for the next day's Outer Banks adventures or heading out onto the balcony for a glimpse of the brilliant morning sky. Impress the family with your chef skills in the cozy Kitchen where you can prepare an impeccable seafood dish for everyone to enjoy in the Dining Area, which boasts plenty of natural light. Get some sleep in the King Master Bedroom with a Full Bathroom on this floor and be prepared for a memorable stay that is sure to have you coming back to Luna Blu Cottage every year.

Beautiful Beaches and Town in Duck
Duck consistently ranks high on the Travel Channel's annual America's Best Beaches list and has been on the best beaches list since 2000. Drive, bring your bikes, or walk on the pedestrian path to downtown Duck and enjoy all the town has to offer. This convenient location puts you less than 1 mile away from the Village of Duck where you'll find fresh seafood, a gourmet market, a produce stand, women's boutiques, bike rentals, amazing restaurants, water sports gear and outdoor clothing, great bookstores, toy stores, art galleries, gift shops and so much more. All of the stores are locally owned and operated and so close together that shopping can be an all-day event on foot! Scarborough Faire Shopping Center features unique shops and eateries, and also delicious restaurants like Fishbones Raw Bar & Restaurant and Roadside Bar & Grill! For more upscale dining there is the Blue Point Grill, the Paper Canoe, and the Sanderling Resort. Or opt to head South to the Aquarium and have lunch on the way back at Johns Drive-In, a classic drive-in shack (open May-October) specializing in thick milkshakes, burgers, and fried fish sandwiches located at milepost 4.5. Go North to visit the lighthouse, play a round of Mini Golf, enjoy some ice cream or see the Wild Horses of Corolla, take lots of pictures but remember not to feed the horses!

Quiet family vaca

Our family of 8 adults had a wonderful time. The house was close to the beach and town, but situated in a quiet community. There was ample interior and exterior lounging space for our family. The nice clean pool was enjoyed by all. Would definitely stay again.

Nice place and location. Clean and quiet. The pool deck needs leaves blown out and some weeds trimmed from the cracks, but that’s nothing major.

Great location in Duck, really good kitchen setup for large families, short walk to uncrowded beach. We explored Duck, Kitty Hawk, couple of lighthouses, mini-golf, great restaurants in the area, and DUCK DONUTS. Would love to come back. Oh, almost forgot the nice and well-maintained pool.

Overall our stay was enjoyable because of the location. We loved the bones of the home, but there were a lot of issues with the management of the home and it really cast a cloud over our time there.-Huge amount of filth in the home. Considering we are charged a cleaning fee AND are required to clean a substantial amount before we leave I was astonished with the state of the home when we arrived. We spent a large part of the first two days of our trip cleaning enough so we could feel safe and comfortable. Dishes and cooking utensils covered in food put away in the cabinets, food smeared all over the furniture and things like the remote control, brown and pink sticky substance on several pieces of bedding in multiple rooms which was especially concerning-Almost no supplies for a stay more than a couple of days. One single trash bag, two rolls of toilet paper when there are three bathrooms, no laundry supplies which was really annoying since we had to wash all the soiled bedding we arrived to, and one single dishwasher pack when we had to wash someone else’s dirty dishes-Pool was one of the main reasons we booked because our toddler loves to swim, but unless the weather is very warm it’s far too cold for kids-Grill was another reason we booked, but it was broken-Management company’s sister company delivered broken and unusable beach equipment These were the worst issues, there were more. Still, great location, beautiful bones, and loved the outdoor shower

Thank you for your feedback. We're truly sorry that your experience did not meet expectations, especially in regard to the cleanliness of the home. While we did follow up after check-in and offered to send someone to address the issues you mentioned, we didn’t receive a response. We understand how frustrating it must have been to arrive and find the home not up to standard. This is not the experience we want any of our guests to have, and we’ve followed up with our cleaning team to ensure this does not happen again. As for the supplies, we do include details in our listing and pre-arrival emails about what is provided and what guests may want to bring for longer stays. We appreciate your input and are actively reviewing how we can better support guests who may need additional items during their trip. We weren’t aware the grill wasn’t working, but will make sure it’s addressed immediately. Beach gear is handled through separate company, and while we don’t manage those items directly, we’ve found their customer service to be very responsive and helpful with replacements when contacted. We’re glad to hear you still enjoyed the location and the home’s layout, and we appreciate you taking the time to share both the positives and the areas where we can improve. Your feedback helps us provide a better experience for future guests.
