Great View and Beach

Loved the beach access enjoyed by all ages in the family. Sunrises and sunsets were fantastic! Multiple levels gave everyone their own space. Kitchen and bathrooms were well equipped for every need. We all appreciate your wonderful vacation spot.

Perfect Getaway

Great location, on the beach, natural environment, property tastefully furnished and equipped, we enjoyed the split level for affording getting together and privacy, (5 adults)quiet neighborhood, wonderful friendly surf/beach shop within walking distance, easy access to shopping, restaurants and state park- getting out and about too. Truly honored to see Turtle conservation up close. Lovely property. Communication excellent.

Totally Amazing!

I can't say enough good things about this rental - it was (despite a slight interruption from Hurricane Matthew!) the most relaxing place we've ever stayed in. We saw very few people indeed during our time on the beach which was exactly what we'd planned. The beach was beautiful white soft sand - before Matthew arrived - hopefully it will be back to its pristine condition by now. The house itself has everything you could need and is beautifully furnished. One of my favorite memories will be sitting on the sofa and looking right to watch the waves and left to see the sunset! Perfect... can't wait to return.

Love, Love, LOVE this view!

The view and location would be hard to match! We felt like we had our own private beach right out the back door. Plenty of beach chairs, shovels, buckets, and towels available. This spacious home offers an incredible arched ceiling, tall windows for viewing spectacular sunrises, a well equipped kitchen, and multiple floors allowing everyone plenty of space and privacy. One thing to point out, there are a lot of levels/stairs. Not an issue for us because our little one isn’t mobile yet but may be for someone with very small children. Host was very responsive to any concerns and questions

Great location, unique villa, responsive owner

Gull House is in excellent location right on a beautiful beach. It is equidistant between Vero Beach and Melbourne Beach...15-20 minute drive to many outstanding restaurants. There is an excellent breakfast spot, The Long Point Cafe, just a mile up the road. The villa is on three levels with "gentle steps" between each level. The kitchen and Living room on the top level has views of the ocean for great morning sun rises. The master bedroom on the middle level has direct access to the front yard and ocean which was perfect for our dog. The kitchen is very well equipped and the villa is comfortably furnished. The owner Eric is very responsive and was very helpful in getting us a couple of extra days on the front end of our rental. We have already re-upped for next year......Bob & Ginny Herrick

Ocean Therapy

We loved our stay at Gullhouse. The rooms were spacious, beds excellent and kitchen was very well equipped. Loved the large deck to the beach to leave beach chairs and fishing equipment. The deck had a hose for rinsing Sandy feet and cleaning fish. The beautiful beach was so private and peaceful. My husband caught lots of Pompano and Whiting. Nice 2 car garage to leave our boat in and the beach house was away from A1A so we only heard the surf. The house does have 5 levels and stairs to climb, toddlers and elderly may have difficulty. The home was on an area with lots of nature preserves, so private and restful. Eric and Claudia were both very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a fantastic 2 weeks! We will come again!

Incomparable Stay at the beach

This house was by far the best place we've ever stayed at in Florida. Even when you're in the house you feel you're outside as well with the wall of glass overlooking ocean, beach, palm trees to the east and miles of trees and tropical vegetation to the west. Having 3 bedroom ensuites, it was perfect for visiting family for about half of the time we were there. The kitchen is very well equipped, the bedrooms are large, the furniture and decor are well chosen and attractive. We loved the privacy and a beach that is pretty empty almost all of the time. The next door neighbors are nice and friendly (and quiet), and the renters at the other end townhouse were also friendly as was their dog to our dog. This was our best vacation in Florida ever. Thank you!

Perfect Location

Views were amazing, beach was beautiful and rental was just as described. Home was clean, well appointed and stocked with all the essentials needed for a great trip. Manager and Owner were responsive and easy to work with. Wonderful trip!

Excellent stay - just a couple of steps to a "private" beach from you door!

The place is exactly as advertised. It is a very confortable property with all you need in a great location and an almost private beach as part of your backyard. Extras: great internet, cable tv, all you need in the kitchen and plenty of beach equipment and toys. The deck with direct access to the beach is just beautiful and the outdoor shower is extremely convenient. Do not be concerned about some previous comments. Some furniture may be old, but most furniture and appliances are top quality and definitely much better than the kind of furniture you will find on beach houses and even you own home. The refrigerator is huge and works great! Finally, the real experience besides the house, you can walk miles on a clean ad unspoiled beach. Enjoy the sea and the BIG EXTRA: you can walk at night and if you are lucky enough you may see turtles nesting and babies turtles hatching. This is a unique experience.!!! There are sticks all around the beach indicating the nest places. Just be careful, go to beach at night, do stargazing and the light of the moon, do not use flashlights, avoid touching and disturbing the turtles and passively watch how amazing things naturally happens! My kids just loved the experience!!!!

Love this place!!

My husband and I just spent 4 weeks. We were looking for a quiet, peaceful place on the beach and Gullhouse did not disappoint. Even though it could use a little TLC, the positives for this place SO outweigh any negatives. The owner, Eric, and property manager, Claudia, made our whole process and stay so smooth. This place is a gem! It was very clean and equipped with just about everything you could want—from kitchen utensils to beach chairs and boogie boards to bicycles. The rooms are very spacious. And quiet! We were worried about noise from the next door unit, but the only sound we ever heard was the waves crashing against the beach. The private deck is awesome and there are so few people on the beach, we felt like we had our own private beach. I can’t say enough good things about this place except we LOVED IT! Would love to come again.

Perfect Place

Full house was the perfect house with the perfect location only steps from the beach. The kids had plenty of room, great working space, great fishing, well equipped fishing and perfect for running and hiking excursions. Eric is a great host. We look forward to returning.

Place needs a ton of work!

I was very disappointed in this property because this place looked great on-line. There was a musty smell upon entering and water leaked on the kitchen floor the first day maybe from the a/c being off. The appliances are old and are not working properly...dishwasher doesn't dry, refrigerator barely stays closed, cooktop has a burner out, and the dryer worked off and on. The ceiling fans are warped, sliding doors/screens don't open properly, light bulbs are burned out, electrical outlets need work. The sheets/beds, pots/pans, towels, furniture (inside and out) all need replacing. The outdoor shower doesn't work and the grills need replacing. The place needs repainting, pressure washing, and landscaping along with some "beach like" decorating. This property has been neglected and it could be great because it has a great view and lots of privacy. The owner seemed nice on the phone but I'm sorry I won't be back. I've rented a lot of properties on the beach and was so excited to see this one but I was disappointed quickly.

Three Weeks on the Beach

My family spent the last part of May and the first half of June at the Gull House. As other reviews have noted, it is a special place. The house is part of a triplex. We saw the owners of the middle unit on a few occasions and they were very kind. The house has direct access to the beach. On almost everyday, we had the entire beach to ourselves. I fished just in front of the house and caught Pompeno and other fish. I missed several snook. If you want to fish, surf, or just play in the ocean, this is the perfect place. The water is warm and clean. Expect to see manatees, dolphins, and lots and lots of giant turtles. Coming up from the beach, there is a outdoor shower to wash the sand off. We also enjoyed the grill and deck. The top floor of the house is incredible. The kitchen has everything and it is clean. The entire top floor looks out over the ocean and even has a large outdoor balcony. How can you beat that? Another thing that makes the property special is that it is set a good distance from the road and has a detached garage. Plus, it is set in a extremely affluent area (think multi-million dollar homes). The entire setting is very quite and private. As other reviews have noted, there are nice restaurants nearby. My wife and I would often use the bikes and pedal down to the Long Point restaurant for breakfast that is less than a mile away (good and affordable). Finally, I know from my own experience renting summer homes that it can be a little bit hit and miss. There is a reason this home home has perfect reviews, it is definitely a place we want to come back to, which is really the highest praise I can give. Eric, the property owner, bent over backwards to accommodate us. He can be trusted, thank you Eric! We made great family memories. Russell (from New Mexico)

Enjoyable stay

From the check in to check out we were very pleased. A wonderful location, very private, quiet and restful. We ate on the upstairs balcony every lunch and dinner. Sometimes we were the only 2 on the beach for miles. Saw turtles nesting on several nights. The house is open, spacious and can accommodate 4 to 6 comfortably.

excellent place to watch wild life or catch some waves!

The entire family loved our two weeks here. The house was very clean, and had everything we needed. There was plenty of space to spread out when needed yet also room to congregate for meals. We were fortunate enough to see dolphins feeding just off the beach and catch a glimpse of several sea turtles coming up to the surface of the water for a breath of air during the day. At night we were able to simply step down off the deck area on to the beach and within just a few minutes see sea turtles coming out of the waves onto the sands to make their trek up the beach to lay eggs (keep in mind there are several laws regarding the sea turtles and fines to face if those laws are broken.) The water was clear and we enjoyed the boogie boards on the waves for several hours each day. The sound of waves in the beachfront master, the main floor patio facing the ocean, the outdoor shower, and the quiet neighborhood are all just extras!
