Wild Hearts is our OCEANFRONT property that sleeps 14. Located in the famous Ocean Sands community with a stocked 7-acre lake, tennis courts and huge swimming pool. Great location a mile from Harris Teeters to the South and a mile from the Food Lion and all the activities and restaurants to the North. The golf course is right across the street from Ocean Sands.
Highlights: Brand New Deck on top floor with hot tub, beach ramp right on the property (no need to hike to get to it like most other homes), reverse floor plan with wonderful workable kitchen and great ocean views.
The Famous Ocean, Lake, Swim & Tennis Club is only 7 houses away. The club offers 5 great tennis courts, a large swimming pool with 2 gazebos for shade plus a kiddy pool and a rare 7-acre lake stocked lake. A haven for ducks, egrets, and other waterfowl, this lake provides great opportunities for fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. A perfect place for an evening stroll while the kids enjoy fishing.

Ocean Sands is a friendly family-oriented community. Beaches are clean and wide with soft sand. Vegetation and wildlife abound with dolphins frolicking right in your backyard. Enjoy quite roads for walking or biking.

Corolla is one of the very best vacation destinations in the OBX with so much to do and see. Corolla attractions, restaurants, water sports, and shopping. The Currituck Club Golf Course, directly across the street from Ocean Sands. We are the perfect backdrop for a great Outer Banks vacation.

Included in your rental - Seasonal Cabana Services: Service dates for the 2023 season are 5/6 to 9/21.This house receives beachside cabana and beach chair set-up services during your stay. Service includes one 10 x 10 cabana tent and 6 beach chairs. Set-up hours are 10AM to 5 PM daily, (except check in/out day). Weather permitting. This service is not available for partial-week stays and is subject to local ordinances.

All 3 of our homes in OBX have 6 bedrooms and do a Friday-to-Friday changeover day during prime season.
If Wild Hearts isn’t available for your dates, we have 2 other estates to choose from.
Less drive and more play!
Friday changeovers save you at least 5 hours in traffic each way. The entire island (500,000+) turns over on Sat & Sun. We are semi-flexible if you aren’t doing a full week if you start or end on a Friday.
Off season we are flexible on any dates.

Pleasant property for a long weekend, with a few communication hiccups

Pros: • Good general location • Nice common areas • Clean • Kyaks were great • Hot tub was great • House almost fragrance-free • Hot outdoor shower was great Cons: • Communication felt pushy, unhelpful, and uncomfortable o Very lengthy check-in packet felt patronizing due to the tone and extent of the instructions. o Karen’s messages were long, repetitive and or off topic. In one, she expressed her dissatisfaction with Canada not allowing un-vaccinated Americans to enter during COVID. • No extra bath towels provided o Only one set of bath towels (full towel, hand towel, washcloth) for each person—no bathmats, no doormat near hot tub. o I called Karen to ask about extra towels. She said the one set per person provision was communicated beforehand. I didn’t argue, but this was not true. When I finally said we’d just go buy more towels on our own, she mentioned sending a housekeeper the next day if it was still an issue. Karen’s unhelpfulness led me to decide to solve the problem on my own. When I tried to end our call, Karen kept repeating the same unhelpful information. I had my hands full, but it took three tries to politely end the call. • Awkward layout o Compared to other beach houses, this layout felt awkward. I think I spent half of my stay walking up and down stairs. • Public boardwalk adjacent to house o Constant foot traffic next to and in front of the house made it felt less private and noisier at times. • Kitchen was small

Loved watching the sunsets and walks on the beach. Convenient to dining and shopping. Nice home for family and friends.
