Or explore a bit further: drive 10 minutes for all the action downtown Truckee or at Donner Lake!

LIVING AREA

Relax in the living room, with its pine-paneled vaulted ceiling and floor-to-ceiling doors and windows showcasing wooded views. Settle into the comfy couches and chairs and watch shows on the 55in TV, equipped with BluRay, DVD, and Apple TV as entertainment options.

KITCHEN & DINING

The kitchen has a breakfast bar for two. Pine cabinets stocked with cooking essentials, stainless appliances, and lots of counter space help with quick snacks and gourmet meals. Sit down to a shared dinner at the six-person table with a view of the pine forest.

BED & BATH

The primary bedroom has a queen bed, a vaulted, pine-paneled ceiling, and patio doors leading to a balcony. The en-suite bathroom has a large walk-in shower with private views of the woods.

The second bedroom has a queen bed, while the third features a twin-over-full bunk bed and a twin rollaway bed. These bedrooms share a bath with a tub/shower combination.

OUTDOOR AREA

One balcony runs the full width of the house and is furnished with lounge chairs paired with lovely views. The second balcony is accessed via the primary.

EXTRA AMENITIES & MORE DETAILS

Extras include complimentary Wi-Fi, a washer/dryer, and parking for two in the garage and two in the driveway.

The wood-burning stove is not operational.

Due to local restrictions, guests can only use the gas grill in the driveway area.

Your reservation includes two passes granting access to the Trout Creek Rec Center for a nominal daily fee per person. Amenities include swimming pools, a fitness center, and a sauna, as well as access to the Tahoe Donner Tennis Center and Beach Club Marina. Public amenities include family-friendly skiing at Tahoe Donner Ski Resort, sledding, and tubing at Snowplay, and 100 km of trails at the Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski Center. Practice your swing at Tahoe Donner Golf Course and explore over 60 miles of hiking trails in the area. To venture out on horseback, visit the Tahoe Donner Equestrian Center.

This vacation home is in a quiet neighborhood and is not suitable for loud gatherings.

Great location but needs work

Pros: The location of the property is great, just the right distance for food and recreational activities. The layout of the home worked great for our family. Cons: The beds were very bad, the primary bed was so bad that you can feel the springs. I would recommend buying at the minimum bed toppers. The cleanliness was not great, the bed comforters were not cleaned, most of them had stains which I sent photos of right away to ensure we didn’t get blamed for it. The shower curtain had mold stain, would recommend replacing it or soaking in bleach. Lastly the primary shower knob hardware was loose. Little things need to be done. We enjoyed staying in Truckee, I would recommend downloading the TARC Connect app on your phone for free transportation that runs from 6:30am-midnight daily, think of of a shared Uber / Lyft service that will pick up and drop off anywhere in the Truckee area.

Beautiful home!

Our stay was perfect from beginning to end. The house is both beautiful and immaculate and had everything we needed and more. Very close to Palisades ski resort and right up the road from the charming town of Truckee with its great restaurants and shops. We can’t wait to come back!

Clean house, limited amenities

Stayed the week after Xmas and paid holiday premium with big Vacasa fees. Does not have hot tub on property, have to use Tahoe facility which has a $20 person charge per day for kids over 7. Wood-burning stove is not usable, which is in the listing, but a bummer when you’re there. Bare minimum of shower and bath amenities were provided. And smoke alarm on cathedral ceiling goes off every time you use the oven. And "feels" small for two families, as everything on one level, though with a steep staircase to enter from driveway level. Overall three stars, especially given Vacasa's high fees and poor customer service.

Beautiful house with some problems with electrical equipment

House is beautiful, well laid out. Good view from deck. Kitchen is well equipped. We had some problems with electrical equipment. 1) Dishwasher only worked for first three days, but then water did not drain out. We called into the management company, but the problem wasn't solved. 2) The TV wasn't watchable for broadcast channels, although it did fine in playing DVD's. 3) Instructions for operating thermostat were in Spanish. I only understood parts.

Wonderful stay

We really have to thank our hosts for making this feel like a home— and not just a rental. Quality bedding and towels, comfy everything, well stocked kitchen, tasteful furnishings, and on a quiet street. We were lucky to find this place.

Perfect vacation location

Everything from the booking, check in and access to the property was excellent. Everything was very clean in good working order, and we have zero complaints. Would definitely stay here again.

Great home

Very comfortable. Plenty of items. Stocked well. Some things like foil not available. Only feedback is that the fire alarm by the kitchen and near the ceiling is super sensitive. Baked cookies as usual and it went and didn’t stop even though nothing was burning. Happened many times with the stove and oven on. Would be great to have a binder manual for the TV.

Great Tahoe base

Excellent 3-bed house for 5-8 people with nice location close to Truckee but on quiet wooded streets in Tahoe Donner. It was a good homebase for a winter wonderland experience with a big great room, updated kitchen, new floors, and plenty of outdoor deck space. Bedrooms are quiet, clean, and there's plenty of extra bedding. Definitely recommend this house for a Tahoe Donner getaway - we've stayed here 4-5 times.

Great home

This is a nice clean home in a great location. They had everything. My only complaint is that the stairs from the garage to the house are very steep. Also, they did not mention that you cannot use the fireplace.

Perfect snow getaway for family of 5

This is our 2nd year at this property. We come here during our kids spring break, which is mid March. This year had less snow however my 12 year old had enough snow to sled down in the back of the house. We ski at sugar bowl and had perfect conditions this year. The location and layout of this home is perfect for our family of 5. We rent our gear down the street at Tahoe Dave's which is also on the way to the Mt. We go to safeway not far away from the home to pick up our food for the week. The kitchen has everything we need, although a larger frying pan would be nice and we couldn't locate a dust pan.

Great getaway house in the woods

My whole family enjoyed the 3-nights stay at this charming house in the forest. It is clean and tastefully decorated. The location is close to shopping. I appreciated the fact that they have DVDs for kids movies, which is a great hit with my kid. The only downside would be the wifi signal being on and off for a couple of days.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Great stay!

We really enjoyed the house and location. It was very clean and a great place hang out and come home to after a long day. We traveled with two small children and it worked out perfect and easy. Would definitely recommend and we’d love to visit again. Thank you!

Great cabin, needs a little love

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really like the location and the cabin overall. It was a great space for our family and my kids loved playing in the snow right outside the cabin. However, the kitchen was not clean - dishes had been put away unwashed and the drawers were filled with crumbs and junk. Turnkey was very responsive, however we arrived needing to make dinner and had to wash all dishes before even being able to eat. The kitchen is in need of a deep clean. The rest of the home was clean. Also, the DVD player is broken and the Apple TV was not working so we were sad to be unable to have a family movie night during our stay. Otherwise, this cabin was fantastic. Loved the natural light, use of the garage and the ample supply of wood for the fire place.

I had a couple issues with WiFi and just some overall questions, and via text the management was very responsive. Great house, gorgeous master bathroom and perfect location. Would stay here again.

Tahoe Donner Family Vacation

The good: Overall a comfortable home, with a good location, beautiful views, and nice layout. Kitchen and master bedroom/bath have been updated. Could be an amazing property if it was clean. Turnkey Rentals was responsive to our concerns. The bad: The house was listed as being cleaned for Covid, but other than the purell hand sanitizer placed by the kitchen sink I don't think anything would have met a Covid cleaning requirement. When we arrived the house was not at all clean. The bathrooms counters, toilets, and floors and mats were dirty, the fridge handles had grime on them, some of the silverware and knives were not clean, and there were crumbs in the silverware drawer, on the dining table runner, in the remote tray, on the laundry machine... Wasn't exactly reassuring as this was our first time on vacation since shelter in place was ordered in March. I was glad we brought along Clorox wipes. Also, the BBQ wasn't listed as broken, but it did not work which was disappointing.

Good and Bad

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is in a great location. It is nice and has a modern feel. I used the guest pass to take my kids skiing for a small discount. The house was well stocked with firewood. When we checked in it was clear the house had not been cleaned very well. Both toilets were dirty - diarrhea stains! There was no hand soap in the bathrooms or the kitchen. We were given one extra roll of toilet paper for a 6-day stay. I used the guest portal to talk to Turnkey and three people responded within 90 minutes to clean and restock the house. Turnkey refunded half of my house cleaning fee without me asking. A good response to a bad situation. It was very cold each morning we were there - 18 degrees each day. I set the thermostat before bed the first night and when I woke up it was cold in the house and the thermostat was set to 54 degrees. It happened again the next morning; thermostat set to 68 when I went to bed, and I woke up to a cold house and the thermostat set to 54! Upon examining the program settings on the thermostat I discovered it was set to turn down to 54 degrees in the middle of the night. I presume the owner programed it as a cost savings measure. I deleted the program setting for the rest of my stay. It is unacceptable to have the heat turn off when its 18 degrees outside.

This place was great. Had everything we needed and very clean. Had all kitchen needs. Rice cooker was a plus for us. Very convienent location to play in the snow with kids. Highly recommend
