Great location, and overall a really good value compared to local hotels. This is a super cute cabin just 10 min drive from West Yellowstone, in a quiet wooded neighborhood. We absolutely loved sitting on the upper deck among the trees. This place has all the necessities to serve as a base camp for local adventures. The upstairs bedroom/bathroom in particular is gorgeous, with a comfortable bed, though lacking a few practicalities like a closet (or any place to hang clothes at all) and no place to hang more than one bath towel. The living room is a little dark but is cozy. There are thoughtful touches throughout like overhead lights on dimmer switches.Overall the house was very clean except the dishes in the kitchen cupboards - we had to wash everything before use as they were quite dirty (I believe the property relies on the previous guests to have washed things well, and clearly not all do). There is a very strong mildew smell all throughout the house, which those who are sensitive or allergic should be aware of. Unfortunately, the fireplace (gas) was broken during our stay. The only heat available was space heaters in several rooms, which would make me a bit reluctant to stay here in the winter. We weren't sure about leaving the portable space heater on while gone during the day or at night (typically not recommended due to fire risk), and it took a really long time to heat the place up when we got back in the evenings and in the mornings.
