Historic 1920s home with high speed WIFI and Air Conditioning

Located in the quiet Village of Oostburg, WI and situated an hour from Milwaukee, Green Bay and within minutes of Lake Michigan.

THE SPACE
The home has been restored to its original beauty with refinished wood floors, staircase, custom cabinets and original tile floors in the bathroom.

Three bedrooms have queen beds with plenty of space to unpack. The fourth bedroom/den has two single memory foam beds. Sleeps 8.

The traditional dining room has seating for six. The eat in kitchen has seating for two.

Two bedrooms have a 40 inch HD Roku TV. One bedroom has a 50 inch HD Roku TV. High speed wifi (400 mbps) will give everyone the speed they need for streaming or work.

Relax in the living room after dinner and enjoy conversation and drinks. Or grab and book and cozy up in the oversize, comfy leather chair.

The rec room in the basement has a 50 inch HD Roku TV. Enjoy complimentary microwave popcorn while watching your favorite movie. The rec room also has plenty of board games, puzzles, magnetic darts and an original checker board table.

Need to finish up some work? We have a printer/scanner/copier for you to use.

Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail outside on our private deck. Plenty of chairs and table for everyone to enjoy.

There are two pack n' plays / portable cribs available, baby moniter, high chair and a sliding / rocking chair.

GUESS ACCESS
The entire home will be available except for a secured room in the basement and the garage. The balcony on the second floor of the home is not to be used for safety reasons. The fireplace in the living room is not to be used.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
This home was built in the 1920s and has been mostly restored. Here are a few things to consider about the home before booking:

-The home has high speed WIFI. Each Roku TV has been placed in Guest Mode. Input the dates of your stay and then log into your own streaming service accounts (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc). Once you depart Roku will automatically log you out of your streaming services.

-There is only one shower in the home and it is located on the second floor of the home. You will need to climb stairs to get to the second floor. The grout in the tile does come out a bit if you are trying to scrub it.

-There are only area rugs in the home over the original wood floors. The floor boards and stairs do creak when you step on them. The charm of older homes!

-The basement is unfinished and has the original brick and cement. Since it is unfinished, it is natural to see spiders and bugs. We do our best to keep them out.

-There is an active cargo train line near the home. The train passes several times a week at inconsistent days and nights.

-Air conditioning was installed in Feb 2023. The three bedrooms and the dining room have air conditioning/heat pumps units. Ceiling fans are also in the 3 bedrooms and floor fans. There is ceiling fans in the dining room and living room. On really hot days, it is best to close the drapes in the house. You can always cool off in the rec room that is in the basement with our 50 inch flat screen TV.

-The fireplace is not available to use.

-The second floor balcony should not be used for safety reasons.

-The extra bedroom/den on the second floor is unique. This room has 9 foot ceilings but slopes down to approximately two feet because of the architecture and design of the roof. It has two single beds and no windows or closet.

-The outside deck experienced some damage in a severe wind storm. The floor boards are uneven because some had to be replaced.

-There are several steps in the home. If you or another family member has trouble climbing steps, this home might not be a good fit for your stay.

Oostburg is a quiet village located 3 miles from Lake Michigan. The home is within walking distance of the local grocery store, bakery, coffee shop, restaurant and community park.

Nearby Destinations Include:
-10 minute drive to Sheboygan (Malibu of the Midwest). Surfing, sail boating, fishing and of course the beach!

-15 minute drive to Destination Kohler. Home of world class dining, lodging, spas and golf. Take a tour of the Kohler company display room.

-20 minute drive to Whistling Straits Golf Course (Host of the 2021 Ryder Cup). Several other PGA Championship, US Opens and Women Opens have been held here.

-Less than a 30 min drive to Road America (Indy and Nascar racing) in Elkhart Lake

-One hour drive to north to Green Bay. Home of the Green Bay Packers (NFL Team)

-One hour drive south to Milwaukee, Wisconsin's largest city. Home of the Milwaukee Brewers (MLB Team), Milwaukee Bucks (2021 NBA Champions), Summerfest (World's Largest Music Festival) and countless other events!

-One hour 10 minute drive to Oshkosh. Home of the annual EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, an airshow for aviation enthusiasts. Typically held the last full week of July.

Getting around
It is easy to walk around the town of Oostburg. The home is located less than 1/2 mile walk to the local grocery store, bakery, coffee shop, restaurant and community park. There is free street parking.
