Burnt Mountain Waterfront Log Cabin, with 6person Spa


Sitting on what is arguably the best lake lot on beautiful Lake Tamarack, escape to the lush Georgia Mountains and enjoy the views from your luxurious 6 person hot tub. Then take in the sunset while cozying up by the fire pit. Come for attractions nearby such as the amazing Amicalola Falls or Burnt Mountain and Sharp Top, or just stay in the resort and enjoy boating, horseback riding, golf, tennis and one of the two beautiful resort pools (fees will be charged for resort amenities). Just 44 miles from Marietta, the best of mountain living could be yours with SUP, Kayaks and Canoe for your use.

This beautiful hemlock three level cabin has it all. From gorgeous lake views (it is a lake lot), a massive back deck and front porch, to four bedrooms, high speed internet and a spacious kitchen. The home is in a storied mountain resort community half way up Burnt Mountain at the foot of Sharp Top with countless trails, falls, and lakes.

You will enter the home to a vaulted great room with natural stone chimney and mantle flanked by tall windows to the lake. This massive living room is open to the dining room and spacious kitchen. There is a powder room toilet just by the front door so the kids don't need to slip into the master bath on the same level. To the left (facing the lake), is the master suite with a full spacious master bath, ample storage, a king size bed, and a front porch overlooking the lake. Off of the Great Room is a massive back deck, perfect for dining or unwinding with gorgeous views.

Upstairs is an open loft with a full bathroom and flanked by two wonderful, large rustic bedrooms that sleep three in each room.

Downstairs, you can enter the house from the two car garage into a carpeted mud room with large windows to the lake. The lower level also hosts the laundry room, as well as a basement suite with full bathroom. There is an exterior door lake-side to the lower concrete patio for easy access to the lake.

The front yard gently slopes to the lake with one of the best views in the community. We provide 2 SUPs, two Kayaks, as well as a Canoe that you can launch from the house.

This cabin is great for families visiting the North Georgia mountains. The lake view is awesome! The screened porch is nice to enjoy a cup of coffee and enjoy the view. There are kayaks, a canoe and paddleboard to enjoy the lake - there is not a gradual increase in water depth, so take care in entering the water. The pool and tavern in the neighborhood were fantastic! There is plenty of room to stretch out and do your own thing - we had eight adults and four children during our stay. Derek is extremely quick to respond to any questions.

Host was very nice!Cabin had droppings under the kitchen sink counter, and my daughters both came home with bites that the doctor said were bedbugs. Beautiful view of the lake and we had fun on the water with canoe and kayaks.

We have never had a problem with bedbugs, but we do have a cabin in the woods where the battle with pests is ongoing, including very annoying chiggers (which is why we advise every guest to wear bug spray while enjoying the beautiful outdoors).

My family and I had a great time at this roomy log house. The house was very clean and had comfortable beds. The driveway is very steep, but we had no problems with it. The lake view from the back deck and screened in porch was beautiful.

Derek was a great host and very accommodating. He was always easy to get in touch with when needed. The house is well set up for multiple families to spread out and come together for games, dinner and hanging out. The outdoor space is great as well. The views are amazing! Be aware that the driveway is very steep, which Derek let us know about. He includes this information in his check in document.

Host was great! We had a great time relaxing and having family time! Beautiful views and everything we needed for our short stay was provided. Driveway is tricky. A railing or stairs would be nice from top pad to front door. Hot tub was good, we were disappointed it didn’t get to hot temp before we left and wanted to enjoy it the night we arrived, but could not because it was cold.

I want to first say Derek was extremely kind and available when reached. The property definitely had the space mentioned and the bed’s were very comfortable. However, I truly feel this cabin had not been cleaned in a very long time. I HATE to give a bad review, and wasn’t even gonna give feedback at all and just let it go BUT VRBO kept saying I had a message, it wanted the review. Cobwebs in the corners of multiple doorways.Fridge is NASTY! Something brown smeared on the master bed comforter, not stained. It flaked when I scratch at it. The cushions on the screened in porch were thrown all over the place on the floor, thick leaves and cobwebs all in the screened in porch. Caked on dirt on the table. Hot tub had so much chlorine it was burning our eyes and taking our breath,even after leaving the lid off for a little bit to try and let the chlorine air out.Upstairs bedroom had a lighter, pair of shorts,and face scrubber under the edge of the bed,saw it when I walked in. There was also water bottle and wadded up paper but too far under for me to reach. Hair in that shower! Screens off the windows leaned against the house.Water bottle with cigarette butts sitting by the swing. Corner of livingroom table all broke up (sure a previous guest did).cobwebs and dust all over the kitchen pantry door. One ping pong paddle for a game the listing offers.My son n law is OCD about doors & windows being locked, he informed me there was five windows that would not lock.VRBO should have rules

One of the best spots I have ever traveled to. Loved the three family kid friendly setup even though there were no children with us. Tons of space to both have group social settings as well as enough room for privacy if needed. Host was very responsive to questions. Beautiful view. Lots of amenities. The only negative about the entire place wants the driveway. It's incredibly steep. I'm not sure we could have even stayed there in the winter.
