Coastal Cottage - Porch, Grill, Walk to Portsmouth

Our Coastal Cottage is the perfect home for a small family or couple looking to escape to the Maine Seacoast. Located in a quaint residential neighborhood within harbor view, this cottage has a relaxing farmers porch, a BBQ grill, 2 full bathrooms and is within a 45 second walk to Kittery Foreside; a small downtown area with shops and restaurants. Our cottage was tastefully decorated by a professional interior designer and comes with smart TV's in every room.

Coastal Cottage is designed to transport our guests to the wonder of the Maine Seacoast. The rich blue and gray tones accompanied by the weathered wood will make you feel as though you are sitting on a lobster boat in the harbor. If you open the windows and the sea breeze is just right, you may actually feel as though you're on the Atlantic.

Enjoy your favorite beverage on the farmers porch while the sun sets or kick back in the living room near the lobster trap table.

The entire home is available for your enjoyment and relaxation.

Great cottage

We really love the cottage and the location. We have favorite restaurants in Kittery and Portsmouth, which are within walking distance. In fact we just love the area. Easy access to everything beaches, shopping , restaurants. We also have relatives in the area that we get together with. However our only problem with the cottage is the living room furniture is worn out and totally uncomfortable. Also the mattress in the master bedroom is also sagging and uncomfortable.

Beautiful Cottage

The Cottage was very clean and inviting. Perfect location for walking to restaurants. Darryl was very responsive. Will definitely be staying here again!!!

Superb Experience

A friend and i were looking for a getaway before the season begins, and as we had to be in Portland for a medical appointment, we decided to go to Portsmouth for a few days. What a lucky mistake i made. Instead i found Darryl’s place, and didn’t read that his rental was actually in Kittery. Well! How fortunate! After a horribly fraught day, we arrived in Kittery, found our house, and settled in. It was perfect in every way…healing , inviting…comfort plus! Although it is right downtown, after dark you won’t hear anything unless a motorcycle makes itself known. There’s a nice porch and Adirondack chairs to enjoy the night breeze, and even a grill should you be inclined to cook. But that’s not necessary. There are two restaurants on that very block and another at the corner..several more around the corner. Darryl has thought of most everything you could need in the kitchen. The fridge has an ice maker, appliances are stranger friendly, and light is adequate without turning on the ceiling lights. And then the beds. So so so comfortable. Cotton sheets. All the windows open you can sleep without a/c on good nights. Bathrooms are well supplied with linens and shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap. Next morning pour a cuppa, , sit outside and listen to Revielle and then the National Anthem coming from the naval base. What a great start to the day. Blessings, Darryl . Thank you!

Great break from routine!

Very relaxing place to chill, with a great coffee shop just a couple blocks away. Minutes from scenic and historic sites, and easy access to shopping in Portsmouth, NH.

Great location

Very clean, everything you need except a table to sit and eat. Only 2 bar stools, the house is set up for 6 people. Kittery is a great fun location, walk to Portsmouth easily. Lots of good restaurants, bars and shops. We love the area and have been coming here for years.

Somewhat pleased!

The living room had horrible seating- very uncomfortable. Also the stools need cushioning. The bedrooms were great. The bathrooms were ok - perhaps an anti slip mat inside the tub upstairs. The cafe & restaurants close by were all great.

Family reunion

This house was cute and clean. Pet friendly. Close to restaurants made it easy to walk to them. Neighborhood was also walkable, which when traveling with our dog was a plus. I would stay again if traveling to Kittery.

Costal Cottage is absolutely lovely!

The pictures in the website are accurate, but the cottage is even better in person! Amazing location: one block to restaurants, bars and shopping and a one mile walk to downtown Portsmouth, which is also very beautiful and full of restaurants and shops. We were a short drive to the ocean beaches in York and minutes from the outlet stores. Peaceful, quiet, comfortable with seemingly every need anticipated. A perfect stay and great host. Thank you Darryl! Hope to return to Coastal Cottage.

Cozy cottage with a great location

This home was clean, comfortable, pleasantly decorated and in the perfect location. We walked to dinner and breakfast in Kittery and it was just a short drive to get into Portsmouth. A delightful surprise was the Star Spangled Banner being played each morning over at the Naval shipyard. What a wonderful way to start each day!

Baby Moon

My wife and I had an amazing baby moon in this quaint cottage in scenic Kittery, Maine! Our dog George had an amazing time too. The cottage is situated off the main road but right in the midst of this little strip of restaurants, bars, and businesses right in the base of Portsmouth Naval Yard. The local food was terrific and all are very dog friendly. Especially the owners or Maine Meat and the Corner Pub. We’d definitely come back again!

Great Location

Brought my daughters (19, 17) to the area for a little getaway. The location of the cottage was perfect for low key evenings. Daryl was responsive when we had questions and the stay was great. We'll definitely look to stay again in the future.

Great Experience!

The property is very comfortable and very close to the shipyard which is a big plus if you have kiddos to entertain. Walking distance to lots of window shopping and entertainment. The host was very attentive and made sure we experienced the best possible time!

Great Location!

This was the perfect spot for us. Walking distance to bars and restaurants. The entire house was super clean, comfortable and really cute. The beds were soooo comfortable, it was hard to get out of them!! The owner was really easy to communicate with. We would love to come back!

Lovely little house right in the center of town

Darryl was a super responsive host and the house was just what we needed. Comfortable, clean, and walking distance to the shops in Kittery and an only slightly longer walk right to the center of Portsmouth. Will happily return if possible!

This place is a GEM!

We came to Kittery from CA and were not familiar with Maine. We totally lucked out with this property. The hosts are ver considerate and had really nice amenities. It is a really nice place! Little did we know that we were just steps from Kittery Foreside and it’s amazing restaurants, bars, coffee shops, & stores. We had an awesome stay and highly recommend this place! We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Maine.
