Great location to stay and hang out with our family. The river was fun for all! Loved the free wine tastings that were included with our VRBO booking. Merriam and MacRostie winery were our favorites. It was so nice to have our dog with us and he really loved the river access. A lovely place to relax. Thank you:)

Perfect home base for a Mother’s Day weekend in Sonoma County. Between the peaceful natural setting and the proximity to town and surrounding wineries and hiking, it was ideal. Great stay at Heron House.

Amazing location right on the Russian River with a beautiful view and hot tub. Very cozy place. It has two queen beds and I think a double. We had three adults and 2 kids. I would say the bed with the bathroom is pretty tight so something to consider if you’re used to sleeping on King beds. Really enjoyed our time and definitely want to come back!

We’ll equipped house with great view

2 couples stayed at the house for a long weekend. It had everything we needed for a terrific stay. Easy access to Healdsburg, and Alexander Valley and Dry Creek wineries. Recent rains made the river too high for the beach or kayaks but we had plenty of other things to keep us occupied. We’ll return to this house next trip to the Healdsburg area.

Location is great with deck overlooking river was great. Rustic feel, well equipped. Kayaks were a well enjoyed bonus. Nice to have AC but it was loud so we turned off at night. We stayed 6 adults … but not 3 couples … so sleeping accommodations were a little tight with someone in living room. Communication and check in was easy, departure instructions clear and easy to follow. Plenty of parking. Would definitely stay again when visiting Healdsburg!

A Great Place to stay in Sonoma

Or family of 4 enjoyed our stay at the Heron House. It was a perfect location for reaching the wineries in the Sonoma area as well as restaurants. The house had all the necessities including a stocked kitchen for meal prep. Beds were very comfortable and linens & towels were great, too. The broker/owner was very helpful when we had an issue with the coffeemaker and promptly replaced it for us. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Heron House to family & friends who plan on visiting the wine country.

Great view and hot tub!!!

We visited during an abnormally rainy spell, which made the hot tub and view a key part of our stay--we couldn't use the kayaks because the river was so full and rushing so quickly, but made for a beautiful view. As a family of four visiting on the back end of a 10-day trip, we appreciated the use of washer/dryer, as well as the ability to cook meals in the well-stocked kitchen. The furnishings are a bit mismatched and nothing fancy, but are comfortable and more than fine.
