Stayed 10/9-10/11 Autumn Leaves Festival. The 'Vintage' was very clean, spacious, well stocked, plenty of towels, comfortable bed with excellent sheets! Quiet, safe location walking distance to everything downtown. We loved the vintage furnishing of yesteryear. Fits perfectly for a trip back to 'Mayberry'. The Hosts...the Hosts were absolutely wonderful! Went far beyond what one would expect. I made a last min request to our reservation and they were so gracious as to accommodate . And just as we pulled into town I received a message we could check in early and there was a reserved parking space for us! I hope we are fortunate enough to stay at the 'Vintage' our next trip to the area!!

We absolutely love staying at this property every year on our way to the ocean. The walk to town is perfect and the place it feels like home.

This is the ONLY place to stay if you are visiting Mount Airy! The unit was amazing! So cute! So fun! The retro furnishings made us feel like we had truly traveled in time. We were able to walk to all the shops and attractions in the town. We also walked to the Andy Griffith Playhouse for a great show. The Wilsons are AWESOME hosts! Thanks for an unforgettable stay.

2 Free standing AC units that were so loud we couldn’t sleep. Shower is a horse trough with a shower curtain

Well, no one has ever complained about the ac units. The shower is a galvanized trough. Very clean and functional. Most people like it. Kind of rustic charm. It's pictured very clearly in the listing. Perhaps one should actually look at the listing photos.

I loved the vintage theme in the apartment. Nice big bedroom. TV in bedroom was nice. I walked into town and it was a nice walk.

The property was exactly as described. It had everything we needed. Close enough to town to be able to walk. The bed was especially comfortable.

The property and the rooms Were great for the price. The only thing is the shower is a little bit Cumbersome to get in and out of if you have bad knees. Other than that no problem, great place to stay at. I would stay there again !

Retro amazing! Take out the tv and microwave and you step back to the 50’s. Small space with everything you need for your stay. It was a great experience with everything a ten minute walk or 3 minute drive. Being secluded on the back of the house is a real plus. It was quiet and comfortable. The portable A/C units did a fantastic job of keeping it cool. This is a great space especially for a quick weekend getaway. Met the owner which made the experience even better. Got to hear the story of the property and see the other unit that is there. It’s a must stay space if you like eclectic, clean and comfortable.

Neat retro unit. The only problem had nothing to do with the unit or our host. The power went out due to a storm for about 5 hours. You can’t beat Mother Nature.

The unit was pretty much as pictured. The two air-conditioning units were pretty loud and went off and on during the night. But the amenities were good and we enjoyed our stay.

We ejoyed the retro feeling of this place, the old stove, old refrigerator which was still cold! Decor was very well thought out. Kudos!. My wife has trouble with steps, but took her time and did well. The bed was extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend for a long weekend.

The property was easy access and the owner quick to respond with any questions. We really enjoyed our stay except the freezer needed thawed and we didn't want to use the freezer burned ice cubes. It was a very quiet neighborhood with access to a lot within a short distance.

We loved this vintage apartment. The place was clean and orderly. The vintage fridge is so cool!! I loved the old-timey ice tray. It was literally a 5 minute walk to the museums and the shops. Once we got to Mt.Airy, we didn't use any gas until we left. We were so close to everything. The restaurants we dined at were delicious and all within walking distance. The neighborhood was quiet, without all the hustle and bustle of the city. No dogs barking or police sirens. Everyone we came in contact with was so kind. Our host was great. Everything was ready and waiting on us for check in. Darryl answered any messages within minutes. We are already planning another trip and will definitely be booking this place again. This place was perfect for us. Id give this 10 stars if it was an option.

The property was very clean and organized. We loved the period appliances and decor. They reminded us of the appliances used by our grandparents. They were all in good working order so rather than going out to one of the many restaurants in the area we enjoyed cooking our meal and having a nice meal in that evening. Everything we needed for our stay was right there. We went to a nice grocery store nearby and bought what we needed for a nice meal. The bed was very comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet so we had a very good nights sleep.

The apartment was perfect for our stay in Mount Airy, NC. It was clean, the owner communicated with us when needed, abundance of towels were provided, and the area was very quiet.If you’re up for a long walk, it’s a great location for Main St. It was a little further than what we thought but it was fine, free parking on the main drag.

The wife and I rented this apartment for a place to stay for the wine festival. It was perfect. It was within walking distance to downtown and had everything we wanted. The host was great, he doesn't have a lot of check in or check out things. The apartment was clean and comfortable with a full kitchen. We'll probably stay here next year for the wine festival.

We really were only there to sleep - out and about during the day time and evening hours. Bed was comfortable, shower was hot (in the good way). Apartment was clean, bathroom stocked with towels/cloths. Kitchen is very retro - looks cool, but we didn’t use it outside of placing a few items in the refrigerator. Quiet neighborhood, short walk from the Mt. Airy historic downtown. Short drive to chain stores / restaurants if that’s your thing.

We had such a wonderful time staying in the little vintage apartment. Everything was clean and so wonderful, including the retro kitchen. It was within walking distance to EVERYTHING! We will definitely stay there during our next visit.

Good bed, quiet street. I would stay here again. There was a vintage charm to the place (very Mayberry!), and I found it to be everything I needed. I was a guest author in for a book signing at Pages Books & Coffee, and this spot was perfectly situated to make it easy to get to the bookstore.
