Charming 2 BR and 2 full bath Cottage is located in Historic Downtown Laurel.

We are on Historical Short 7th Avenue located across from Bird Dog Cafe (featured on HGTV Hometown- but currently closed)-close to numerous specialty shops and restaurants! We are in walking distance to all of downtown Laurel, the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art and beautiful historic homes on the avenues! Park, walk, eat and shop without having to search for parking! It is important to us that your stay here is a very memorable one! We do our best to treat our guests with Southern Hospitality! We provide all you’ll need to have a memorable stay. Kitchen is equipped with a full coffee bar, and snacks are provided as well. We are open to special requests for any special occasion- birthdays, anniversaries or just a fun “girls trip”! Just let us know and we’ll make it happen. You’re sure to enjoy your stay!

Simply the Best!

The cottage was lovely. From the minute we stepped over the threshold, we felt content and relaxed! Our hosts thought of everything to make our stay perfect. The location is fantastic - just a short walk to everything....rain or shine!! It was hard to pack up and leave.

Our Anniversary getaway

Our stay was superb, nice cozy cottage house with many amenities. Location was perfect, all walking distance to downtown shopping, restaurants & attractions. Tina was very informative & helpful. Would stay here again….5 stars across the board

Amazing Stay

Such a great stay! This house is in a great location with an easy walk to downtown, a couple doors down from a cute boutique and it was so clean! The way the hosts decorated it and the little extra touches in there made it a memorable experience.

Laurel get away adventure

We came to town to see Hometown for real. Our accommodations were perfect. Everything was above our hopes. We would suggest this house for everyone.

We came to experience Laurel, such a warm and inviting town. The home was perfect - cozy, comfortable - with an awesome host! The location was excellent within walking distance of everything.

Anniversary getaway

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. It was very clean and well maintained. Perfect location to downtown . Definitely recommend this place

Cute cottage

We had the best experience from the minute I confirmed the reservation. The owner, Tina, messaged immediately and was very kind and welcoming! The cottage was perfect with 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms. I highly recommend!!

Charming House - Perfect Location

The charming "Mayhaw Place" house is the perfect location for all things in Laurel. You felt like you were at home. The house was immaculately clean and thoughtfully decorated. Tina and Dale were wonderful hosts. Our trip to Laurel was to celebrate our 33rd anniversary. Laurel was much more than we expected and we thoroughly enjoyed our four days in this beautiful friendly town. We highly recommend the "Mayhaw Place', our wonderful hosts, and Laurel for fun and good food. I see a 'girls' trip soon for me!Dale & Paula BBeaumont, TX

Perfect cottage

This little house is the absolute best. There was nothing we were lacking. Sometimes we get lost in our large home. This house is absolutely perfect. I enjoyed my time with husband here. Thank you so much for opening your little piece of heaven and sharing it with us. We were able to walk around to eat and sightsee. We will definitely stay here again!

Misled Property

It was a stay that did not happen but ultimately probably for the best. Property was not as “charming” as described. Yard unkept and lacked maintenance. Homeless people on the street, would not have felt safe on the outdoor chairs or porch during day and especially evening. Property was laid out odd. 2BR,2 Bath, with one via the kitchen? VRBO description needs updated, the Bird Dog Cafe was vacant and up for sale. A tour guide told us it’s gone thru several owners. It’s also not a short walk to downtown shops, or at least not the popular ones. Both of these descriptions attracted us to the house, neither existed. Non reachable host, inaccurate door code upon anrrival and non-operable a/c resulted in us not staying at property. Per host a/c was corrected which was good for the sake of next occupant but the other property inadequacies mentioned above would still have been existent. Initial taste of small town hospitality was not good. Happy to say the next day was better. Enjoyed our new accommodations even though it cost us twice what we had budgeted due to no refund by Owner. :(

Quick work trip

We had to stay one night in Laurel for work, and wanted 2 beds 2 baths, the cottage was lovely! Perfect comfortable and clean. We walked to town for dinner. Would stay again!

Great property and great location

This was our second stay at this property and we loved it both times. It is nicely furnished (the beds are super comfy) and has great extras like snacks, bottled water, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. The host is easily reached by call or text. We would highly recommend it for your stay in Laurel.

Laurel has been my hometown since the age of 6, and I do love it here! Watching it grow, and seeing people fall in love with it is truly exciting!
Our cozy little cotage was built in 1905, and is adjacent to my husband's hair salon. He has been in the business for 24 years on this quaint little street; it was once called "Mayhaw Place". The Mayhaw Canning Company was located here in the historical warehouse district. There's so much history in our hometown! We can't wait to share it with you! It is our ultimate goal for you to walk through our doors and have the most "welcoming" experience, and leave wanting to come back!

This property is located in the perfect location (per the majority of our guests). You can park your car and walk to anywhere you'd like to in the downtown area. We are close to anything you could want to see.

Location Location Location- plus we strive to keep this unit as clean as we possibly can. It's convenient to eating establishments, the mall and numerous other local shops. It has a cozy, comfortable atmosphere, and you'll also enjoy the porch swing and adirondak chairs provided!
