Start your Hill Country "stay-cation" at this perfect water front cottage! Located a scenic 70 minutes from Austin or San Antonio, it's an easy get-away. Gorgeous park-like yard provides plenty of space for fun and relaxation. You'll love the fun cowboy retro décor and comfy furniture.

The cottage has a large living/dining area and a kitchen with a large serving bar. Sleeps 7 comfortably; The cottage amenities include satellite TV, DVD, BBQ gas grill, all kitchen utensils, blender, toaster, drip coffee maker, microwave, and full size washer/dryer. The bedroom has a king size bed including all linens for the bed and bath. Also includes a futon (sleeps 1 adult or two children), a full bed with all linens and pillows included. The leather sofa in the living room has a queen inner spring mattress.

The property is on the waterfront of a Colorado River channel connecting to Lake LBJ. Expansive waterfront provides easy access for water fun. Fish from the dock day, take a cool dip in the water or float on your air mattress -- no boat is needed to have fun in the water at El Rancho Pescado!

WE CAN ACCOMODATE A GUEST BOAT. BOAT LIFT IN THE COVERED DOCK IS NOT AVAILABLE. WATERCRAFT CAN BE RENTED FROM LOCAL VENDOR AND CAN BE DELIVERED TO OUR DOCK.

Perfect River Getaway

The Cottage and Property were awesome, so much personal attention to details. There was plenty of room and had everything needed in the kitchen/bathroom. Great communication with property management. We had a great time.

Our Favorite Spot

This is by far our favorite getaway spot. The owner is fabulous and the house is perfect. It’s cozy and has everything you could possibly need.

Awesome property

This is a wonderful waterfront property with huge tree's nestled on a quiet street in Kingsland. A perfect weekend getaway and the Owner was extremely helpful and made the stay 5-star. Would definitely come back to this spot and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet place with a great yard!

Idyllic Escape from the Hustle and Bustle

This property is the perfect escape from the day to day grind. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or family gathering El Rancho Pescado checks all the boxes and will not disappoint. Very Relaxing and had everything we needed

We enjoyed fishing day and night, making s'mores on the fire pit, and kayaking. The house and property are quite spacious. Beautiful blue bonnets (in March)! High quality outdoor gas grill, plenty of cooking amenities and a nice HEB close by. The owner was very friendly and responsive and even checked on us when a storm came through.

Thanksgiving stay

This is my first experience with a Vrbo property and my husband and I were happy. The place was clean, in a quiet area and equipped with anything one would need for a weekend stay. My only suggestion is that some type of nonslip mat be placed in the master bath as well as something to hold onto when getting in and out. Overall the experience was very positive and I would certainly return.

Heaven

Our family enjoyed our stay so much! It was perfect. We loved fishing off the dock and using the kayak. The kitchen was well stocked with every thing you would need to cook. We really hated to leave. I would definitely return and recommend it to friends.

Spring Break

We love the Moonshadow Ranch property! It’s perfect for two twelve year old boys (fishing right off the boat slip and plenty of space to explore), and two parents who need peace and quiet to read and recoup from the daily grind. The new windows are beautiful, fit perfectly with the architecture, and provide privacy in the bathrooms. We look forward to our next stay at the ranch!

Charming Cottage and Relaxing Getaway!

I highly recommend El Rancho Pescado for a relaxing getaway! This adorably charming cottage has all the comforts of home plus a beautiful view of the lake! It has everything you need for your watercrafts, a fire pit for your smores, an outdoor dining table for your meals and most importantly, plenty of fun in the sun! The property is so gorgeous and the lake access was perfect! We spent a week there and we can’t wait to go back! Please don't wait and book your vacation at El Rancho Pescado now!

We had a great stay.

The house was located in a perfect spot for us on the lake. The cove was nice and quite with very little traffic. The house was clean and well maintained. The only complaint is the futon bed in the closet was not very comfortable. We will be coming back. Thank you to the owners who shared there house with us.

Beautiful property! Very relaxing atmosphere, comfortable amenities and lots of great outdoor seating areas and well maintained yard. Just what we were looking for on our extended weekend getaway. The rental process was very easy, the owner Judy and Robert were fantastic to work with and the online access to nearby attractions and business establishments made everything effortless. Blast from the past

This is really a very large one bedroom casita with two full baths. Inside is comfortable and roomy. The decor takes you back to the Texas Hill Country in the 1950's. The outdoor area is wonderful. There is ample outdoor furniture on the water front. Very quite and private. Nice place to watch the sunset and have a glass of wine. We can highly recommend it.

Charming Texas Getaway!

I surprised my husband with a weekend getaway & this was the perfect place! The inside was cozy and spacious for the two of us. You will love the kitchen. We spent a few hours fishing outside, but the colder weather made us decide to cozy up in the living room, watching Western movies and sipping wine. Truly a treat. Our dachshund loved the property, and there were even stakes with leashes to keep him close. We can't wait to return.

Birthday weekend

Thank you very much for a wonderful weekend. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. The dogs and husband are wore out from all the boating, fishing and swimming. Your property was perfect. There was always a cool place in the shade with a view. The pictures do not do El Rancho Pescado justice. :)

Just what we were looking for

We spent 3 nights here in March; my wife, myself, 3 young boys,and our dog. It was the perfect getaway for us. In hindsight our only complaint was that we didn't stay long enough. There are numerous hill country sights to see all within an hour drive(many much closer than that). We wished we would have had more time to spend at the house as the outdoor environment was perfect with the mature trees, dock/boat slip, and lake side view. There were blue bonnets on the property and my wife got some great pics of the kids. The house was comfortable and neat and provided all we needed. For the price I don't think you can find a better place. We definitely plan on making a return visit.

Vacation

My family and I had a most relaxing time in a well-designed house. Next time we will take kayaks so that we could make use of the waterways. We did get into the water for some swimming, but don't recommend this as the water is quite murky. The boats that went by did so quietly so we did not have any noise issues. We chose not to eat out (HEB 2 minutes away) or uses the door-to-door boat rental availability.The cooking equipment, utensils, china etc were more than adequate. The owners were pro-active and extremely nice = I would unhesitatingly recommend this venue (with the swimming concern already noted).

Perfect Weekend Retreat for any occasion

I chose this place based on its decor both inside and out and the pricing. We were celebrating our daughter-in-law's 24th birthday and this was the perfect place. The vintage decor made for a fabulous, homey setting and the landscaping and outside furnishings added to the ambiance. We couldn't have asked for anything more. We prefer a property that looks appropriate for the setting and not something you would find in the suburbs. El Rancho Pescado was it! The largest property in the cove, ERP allowed for plenty of peace and quiet if desired or a chance to visit with the neighbors across the water. Our 3 year old granddaughter loved swimming off the dock, riding the jet ski, and boating into the cove to get ice cream from the DQ. Our 15 month old grandson loved swinging on the bench under the huge oak tree. Plenty of sun or shade as desired. The boat dock and jet ski ramp were definitely a plus for our needs. The fire pit and surrounding grassy area and seating provided a delightful setting for a night of roasting marshmallows for the traditional ooey, gooey S'mores. My parents in their 70"s joined us for some quality great-grandparent time on Saturday. We also had Penny, our daughter-in-law's 9 week old Shih Tzu (birthday surprise) with us as well. We are looking forward to a return trip to El Rancho Pescado. Judy was a pleasure to work with and we absolutley love what she and her husband Robert have done with their 1950's property.

This place leaves a lot to be desired!

All beds are terrible! Daughter left a day early because she could not sleep on the sleeper, day bed or futon because they were too hard, and blow up mattress unusable because it had several holes. Only one comfortable chair in living area. No hot water in master sink, had to turn on and off at shut off under sink. When we removed sheets in master, there were stains on foam topper that were not ours. This topper was bunched up in so many places that it was uncomfortable to sleep. I know this is an old house, but bedding and seating should be comfortable. There was food/condiments in fridge when we arrived that I also left there when we departed. Both ovens were very dirty. We did not use Ac, but heat was very hot in living area and cold in master. There was no heat/Ac in second bath, so we had to move the space heater back and forth from the master. I would imagine that bathroom would be very hot in the summer. The dock and outside areas were wonderful, and the house was stocked and decorated amazingly. We were not aware the boat ramp nearby was closed until we received paperwork, making it necessary to go several miles to get boat in the water.
