Family Trip

Our family enjoyed our stay at this property. The house is spacious and the kitchen is fully stocked for some family meals. Our stay was during the heat wave and the upstairs was quite warm but the Owner addressed it immediately.

Mary's Lake House - FIVE STARS!!!

This stay was equally as great as last years!! Wonderful weather...excellent accommodations on lakefront property...great wine tasting experiences...LIFE IS GOOD!! Looking forward to making this a yearly destination!

A wonderful stay!

Our group loved every aspect of Mary’s lake house! Everything we needed had been supplied by the caretakers. We enjoyed kayaking with the three boats left for us, and we loved swimming in the colder but still pleasant waters right off the property (just bring water shoes)! This property is beautiful and cozy, a true gem!

Beautiful spot on Lake Seneca

What a beautiful spot to meet up with family with views of the lake from every room. The house was well maintained and appointed and didn’t find ourselves needing anything. Sitting down by the lake every am drinking my coffee and watching the birds and fish was magical. Definitely would come back. Thanks for a great stay.

Seneca Lake

My family really enjoyed our stay. House has plenty of room. Loved the outdoor space. Great location- close to Watkins Glen & Geneva. Spent a lot of time sitting outside and enjoying the view.

great location

Our group was 5 older high school friends. Two of us picked this place and it was exactly as we thought. It was clean, a little quirky (which to us so much nicer than cookier cutter) and comfortable. Views were great and area was peaceful. I would definitely stay here again. It is close to all the parks and wineries that we wanted to see. A nice central location for all the places the Finger Lakes region has to offer.

Great for our family of 4

We had a wonderful stay here this summer. It's just the right size for our family of 4 (kids are 8 and 11). We enjoyed many campfires on the beach, swimming, kayaking, and cooking. The house was clean and neat as a pin. Jan left us a bottle of wine from the local winery up the road, which was a nice surprise! The only issue we had was the upper floor could get quite warm on the hottest days. But we were there during a particularly hot streak. We can't wait for our next stay!

Great Lakefront Home- Clean & Equipped

Our stay was perfect! The house was exceptionally clean and as described in the listing. Jan was extremely helpful and left an informative packet about the house. We had a small snafu and Jan ran right over to fix it for us- her helpfulness was above and beyond! The house is a perfect cottage with an amazing view of the lake. We took our two children (3 & 6) and a set of grandparents (65+) and found the house to be comfortable and accommodating. Don't look any further- you won't regret staying!

Excellent view, lovely home

It was perfect. Almost. I wanted for nothing but, there to be no mice. Upper cobwebs were thick as well. Aside from that, the views were amazing. If you think you want to swim, you must have swim shoes. There are too many sharp rocks and things in the water to walk in, and the water is too shallow to just jump in off the dock, not is there a lader to get out there. Neighborhood is great, and a short drive to Geneva or pennyan. Kayaks and vests are on site, beach side is manageable for bonfire and that was nice. Nice sucked. Ants, not great, but less bothersome than mouse poop. The owner said they would take care of it, but no discount or partial refund was offered for that mess.

Absolutely Wonderful!

On somewhat short notice we had the opportunity to take some time away this past week. Seneca Lake has become a favorite vacation spot for us and we were ecstatic to find Mary's Lake House available at this late point in the summer. We came to realize that we would be it's very first guests. The manager, Janet, was friendly and accessible, and she made our check-in easy and quick. The house itself is fantastic. It's an older house, and the two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs have a old-school "lake cottage" feel. The first floor, including the master bedroom and two bathrooms, has been updated over time to be a year-round primary residence. It's got a terrific open floor plan that includes a spacious living room, a year-round sunroom facing the lake with a dining table and entire wall of windows, and an extremely well-equipped kitchen. There is a very large flat screen, smart TV with an open HDMI port, as well as solid wifi, that allowed us to use our own streaming device for watching movies in the evenings. The small porch off the master bedroom, and the patio on the other side of the house through the kitchen, were great outdoor spaces. Had we been there for a full week, we would have taken advantage of the dock for swimming and using the kayaks that belong to the house. While we didn't need it on this trip, we were happy to see that the house would also be usable for someone with mobility impairment. The walk to the front door from the driveway is fairly level and ramped where necessary. The open floor plan of the first floor makes navigating with a walker or a transfer chair very possible, and the two first floor bathrooms have useful grab bars in them. All in all we loved this house and hope to stay here again!

Another wonderful summer

We had another great stay at Mary's lake house this summer. My kids greatly appreciated the addition of air conditioning for the upper floor. We enjoyed kayaking, campfires on the beach, and spectacular sunrises. It's a great location, on a quiet, private road, and only 10 minutes from Penn Yan. The only negative thing I can say is that it was hard to say goodbye!

The house was well maintained, and in a great location.

The house is nicely decorated and in a great location. We enjoyed watching the stars on the shoreline, going to Watkins Glen, and local wineries. The host was very responsive and I would rent from them again!

Birthday celebration

First time in the Finger Lakes for our group. Came to celebrate a birthday and taste some wine. We had an excellent time! Very relaxing property and location. The complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. Would definitely rent again.
