Only a 10 minute bike ride to downtown and with amazing trails to explore, right out your door Step into the Amazing Views of the Great Lakes with private park like setting ( picnic tables) enjoy watching the ferries come & go, A big ++ we offer his&hers bikes free of charge, location of the bikes are in the check in instructions. Our stay was fine. Clarification on entrance and the bike location could have been clearer. Our TV did not work the whole time we rented. My husband spoke with the Property Manager several times and the clicker TV problem was not fixed and the manager did not give us an update. The location was good and near other venues without having to go downtown each day.

90's condo, needs updating. Bicycles need replacing. Woman's bike did not down shift to 1st gear without chain coming off. Unable to ride bike back to condo, very unfortunate. Felt stranded 1.7 miles from downtown unless wanting to pay for taxi. Stonecliffe was a silver lining. Great grounds and restaurants.

The whole island has an old look if youre looking For modern this island is not the place for U, the place looks exactly like in the pictures, you Never reached Out about the bikes, this are new Bikes in perfect conditions , if they break during use you shouodvt call the owner not wait till check out and say something on a review, we ask every guess to reach out if there is anything wrong and we only heard from you about information that was sent to you and you refuse To read , this bikes are free if you did not like them you could‘ve rent your own , there are many rental places In the island

Rofi was very quick to respond to all messages and offered additional suggestions/guidance to ensure I could easily walk/bike around the island.While I understand this may not always be the case, I was able to access the unit a bit ahead of schedule which worked well as I was juggling logistics with bag and bike. I was fully transparent with Stonecliff staff making them aware I was not in one of their adjacent condos, but they were still kind to support with their porter service. The location adjacent to Stonecliff is wonderful as it provides convenient access to local dining options. The fact that I conveyed I would likely be taking advantage of this may have helped with the porter service support :-)When I wanted something different it took less than 10 minutes to ride into town. The rest of the time I could enjoy the peace and quite of being out of the mainstream.This studio is cozy but has absolutely everything that is required for a short stay.

Lovely Stay

Great spot to enjoy the Island without being in the midst of its quaint but very busy center Bikes were great to enjoy the whole island with ! And the condo had all the amenities of home .

Peaceful Resting Place

My wife and I enjoyed this tucked away peaceful lodge. It was a great place to retreat after the busy days amongst the many tourists.

The studio *was* charming. The area was nice with a local restaurant. Note that the location is a 30 minute walk or carriage ride from downtown. We had great weather and enjoyed the walk but keep that in mind.

Wonderful location for the two of us. Enjoyed the proximity to Stonecliffe. Took advantage of the great lawn fire pits and dinning options. Check out the “other” section of the listing for bike lock code. We’d definitely visit again and the owner was very responsive to answer questions!

quiet get away

Everything was as pictured however,....thought the deck was water facing..... Tub and kitchen utensils, bath salts, coffee, creamer...all nice touches. Just "far enough" from town...

Studio apartment in a great location

The studio apartment has everything we needed, microwave, small refrigerator, sink, dishes, silverware and coffee maker including coffee. The bathroom has a tub with jets and is big enough to accommodate my wife and I (yes, at the same time, lol). And it's 100 yards from the best restaurant on the island, The Woods, imo.

Great Little Get A Way

Well kept. Bikes were a plus. I would add baskets on them for a place to put items when out and about. Jaccuzzi tub was a plus every night after a long bike ride downtown. Quiet. Balcony was nice at night to have a glass of wine or two. Would recommend.

Mackinac Island Condo Rental near Stonecliffe

Overall enjoyable experience in a well maintained and clean studio unit, with interior land views. Lots of construction ongoing at both Stonecliffe Inn (throughout 2023) and Woods Restaurant (through June 2023), so you need to be a bit flexible with construction traffic and noise in the morning. The downtown area is easily accessible by Island (horse-drawn) taxi service, with lots of outdoor hiking and walking in the immediate area.

Peaceful surroundings

LOVED being away from more congested areas but you have to be willing to walk a lot or ride the bikes (pushing them uphill for some distance). We enjoyed the exercise! My husband was able to enjoy the peaceful balcony while doing work on computer. The bikes provided were excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t mind a little physical activity getting back and forth to different places. Owner responded quickly to any need we encountered and even recommended good places for us to eat.

Nice and quiet

The location of the condo ( by the woods restaurant) was nice and quiet. It was great after a day on Main Street and/or golfing. Everything was great and it was really nice to have the bikes. The only thing I would change is the picture that shows the location. It is not downtown but about 2 miles out. If you are not a Walker/hiker you will need bikes and taxis(uphill to condo). Oh- and condo is by Sunset Rock as well. A nice benefit❤️

Quiet location

We loved being on the quiet side of the island!! There was a bit of confusion about our check in date, so the property wasn’t finished being cleaned, but it was addressed promptly. We couldn’t find the bikes, but the owner was very responsive and we got what we needed with almost no delay. Would be lovely if there was more helpful hints (eg, how to find our way to the outer pathway thru the neighborhood rather than going all the way downtown). Overall a great place to stay if you want to avoid the crowds!!

Beautiful and quiet

The accuracy of the other reviews is correct. It is a bit of a ways from the town. We had our own bikes, which can make it a bit easier to get around. Approx. 15-20 minutes to ride to town. The location of the condo, once there, is beautiful. The bike ride into the inner of the island is peaceful. We experienced a part of the island we hadn’t seen before. Less people and quiet. The condo balcony (2nd floor) does face into a nice garden area. There is a patio/deck on site, that overlooks the straits and if weather is right, you get a beautiful sunset! Clean, comfortable room.

Horses carriage will pick you up and drop you off right at the front of the building as requested, Taxi # 906-847-3323 , bikes are available for your used free of extra charge, use the locks provided while in town as needed.

The Oakwood at Stonecliffe condos are situated high atop the West Bluff on beautiful Mackinac Island. There are acres of bike trails, walking trails, and roads throughout and around Mackinac Island. Our accommodation have panoramic views of the Straits of Mackinac and the Mackinac Bridge with amazing sunsets on the grounds of the Stonecliffe Estate.
Nearby, you will find the Woods Restaurant and the Woods Golf Course, which are both owned by the Grand Hotel, on Stonecliffe Estates.
