I hate to be the person to leave a poor review, but I wanted to share our experience so others know what to expect.I booked this stay as a birthday gift for my parents, and part of the fun of arriving somewhere for a vacation is that feeling of excitement. Unfortunately, that really wasn’t our experience here. The outdoor spaces were the first thing we noticed, and they were very rundown. There was trash scattered around, the community beach area didn’t appear well maintained, and the cabana was falling apart. We had experienced some bad weather recently, so I initially gave it the benefit of the doubt and hoped that was the reason for the condition of the property.Unfortunately, once we went inside, we found that the unit itself also felt pretty worn down. I was really disappointed, as the property wasn’t what I had expected based on the listing.I reached out to the management company to share my concerns. I appreciated how quickly they responded, but ultimately, I was told there wasn’t anything they could do. I asked whether we could move to a different unit, but that option came with an additional nearly thousand dollar charge (eek).Overall, the experience was underwhelming. That said, the location is fantastic, which was definitely a highlight! Had the weather been more comfortable, we probably would have spent most of our time outside anyway. We made the best of it though! Luckily, we know how to have a good time anywhere! Great location, disappointing rental.

Our place was like a hotel room with a kitchenette. Had everything we needed. Loved the privacy of the Sandy grounds. The picture was old and showed a fence, but that's been replaced by a 12ft rock wall. You can climb down the rocks to the beach at low tide, otherwise access via steps is just down the block. Great views and sounds of the waves all day and night! Daytime shopping and nightlife is just a mile walk. Perfect location away from the bustle, but close if you want that.
