Description of the apartment -
· Beautiful and bright 2 bedroom apartment on the top (6th) floor of an 100-year-old modernist building, renovated outside and inside. The apartment still has the original ceilings with artistic moldings, mosaic floors (a different design in every room), and original woodwork on the doors and windows. There is an elevator, air conditioning (one air conditioning machine in each bedroom and one in the living room, total 3 machines), heating, and a full kitchen with granite countertop, pots & pans, dishes, etc. One full bathroom with shower, toilet, sink. The living room has a dining table and chairs, a sofa.

The building's roof terrace is just upstairs from the apartment, with tables and chairs, plenty of sunshine, and views to Sagrada Familia. Please note it is a shared terrace.

Equipment - SAFE in the master bedroom.
Combination washing machine and dryer in the kitchen.
A/C and heating.
We supply LINENS and TOWELS, and a starter supply of soap and SHAMPOO and other essentials.

Location - The apartment is in the historical part of the Eixample area, at short distance and midway from the Sagrada Familia temple and Passeig de Gracia shopping. Plenty of restaurants and small grocers in the area.

Transportation - Near Verdaguer metro station (on yellow and blue lines) and several bus lines. Very easy to get to by taxi. A taxi lane runs in front of the apartment.

Noise levels - Façade windows have double glazing, but there can be some street (traffic) noise in the living area. The bedrooms have no traffic noise.

Occupancy - The apartment is ideally suited for 4 people. It can sleep up to 4.

Check-in and check-out - The apartment will be ready for you at 15:00 for occupancy. Check-out time is 11:00am.
Reserved early check-in or late check-out for half the nightly rate, subject to availability.
There is no extra fee for nighttime check-in.
FREE LUGGAGE STORAGE SERVICE in our office when you arrive before check in or depart after check out time. We have our office in the building next door.

Très bel emplacement, et bel immeuble. L' appartement est propre et conforme à l'annonce. Bonne communication avec le propriétaire et son employée. Je recommanderais volontiers cet appartement.

La experiencia fue excelente en todo sentido. Ubicación, ambiente, comunicación. Lindisimo el apartamento y tenía todo lo que necesitábamos para una estancia de 3 noches en Barcelona. Volveremos sin dudarlo.

Very nice appartement half way between Sagrada Familia and the Gaudi buildings

One week workation in Barcelona, nice cosy appartment with small but functional kitchen, small bathroom, a really nice living area and two bedrooms.WiFi sometimes unreliable. Great place to stayGreat place to stay

Quelques jours à Barcelone

Nous avons séjourné 5 jours dans cet appartement situé dans le quartier de Eixample. Ce quartier présente de nombreux avantages, bien situé proche du centre mais suffisamment éloigné pour ne pas être gêné par le bruit. Par ailleurs, nous avons trouvé à proximité commerces et marché ainsi que deux lignes de métro, ce qui était très pratique. Quand à l'appartement, il est clair et fonctionnel.

Not upto other VRBO that I have stayed at

No essentials. So I got spoiled by top notch Hosts. There has always been coffee, creamer, basics. Some even had wine , cheese. Not this place. There was plenty of room which is nice. I think the black mold in the shower and no cleaning products was a huge NObig NO for me.big disturbing.

The apartment is in a beautiful old building in a lovely area with excellent amenities and very close to bus stops and metro stations. It was spotless on arrival and instructions were easy to follow. The living rooms and bedrooms are really good size with lots of wardrobe space and plenty of hangers. Bathroom and kitchen are tiny but fully equipped with everything you might need. The apartment has all the original wooden windows and shutters and although these look gorgeous and really keep the light out, they do nothing to reduce noise from outside. The apartment is on a VERY busy junction and the traffic would wake us up through the night or very early in the morning. Unfortunately we also had some idiots shouting all over the street for 2 nights of are stay (8 night stay) which kept us awake too. I would definitely recommend taking earplugs! The rooftop terrace is great but shuts at 8 or 9pm which is a shame as it would have been nice to sit up there and have a drink at sunset. Should maybe stay open later in the summer. The area and proximity to all the sights is the best thing about the apartment and I’d probably book again for this reason (but take earplugs this time!). Beds comfy, pillow’s awful! Unbelievable city! Can’t wait to return.

Spacious and comfortable apartment

The rooms are larger than expected. Bathroom is adequate. Kitchen is great. Individual heat is nice. Very convenient and nice neighborhood. Nice roof terrace. Recommend the apartment!!

Super séjour

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans l’appartement de Lauren & Fernando. L’appartement est très bien, propre et très bien situé. L’arrivée autonome est un vrai plus et Fernando s’est toujours montré disponible pour répondre à nos questions / besoins. Notre coup de cœur : la terrasse avec vue sur la Sagrada Familia!!

Un séjour extraordinaire

L'appartement correspond aux photos, idéalement placé. 10 mn à pied de la Sagrada. 15 à 20 mn à pied de la vieille ville, de la Rambla. Sinon, des bus proches permettent de rejoindre les sites et quartiers à visiter. Bel immeuble fin 19e/début 20e avec ascenseur. Appartement bien équipé, propre, ayant conservé tout son charme et refait récemment.

schöne Wohnung für einen Barcelona Trip

Tolle, zentrale Lage, fast alles ist fußläufig zu erreichen. Sauber und komplett ausgestattet. Zwei kleine Kritikpunkte gibt es dennoch: Das Bad ist sehr klein und für große Personen wird es durchaus schwierig. Die gemeinsame Terrasse ist nur von 9:00 bis 22:00 Uhr nutzbar. Also wurde es leider nichts, mit einem guten Wein am Abend, den vorhandenen Blick auf die Kathedrale zu genießen. Das sollte im Inserat erwähnt werden. Deshalb leider nicht die volle Punktzahl, aber dennoch eine Empfehlung wert.

Bel appartement bien situé idéal pour une famille avec 2 enfants. Accessible et pratique

L'appartement est très bien situé en plein centre de barcelone. Quartier chic et pratique. Propriétaire serviable et compréhensif. Proximité des commerces boulangeries bars.... Très proche des endroits touristiques: Sagrada familia, Arc de triomphe, Gracia, Rambla.... Séjour à refaire...

Appartement très sombre et surtout extrêmement bruyant.

Le propriétaire, Monsieur Negre, m"a informé d'un changement d'appartement, seulement 5 jours avant mon départ à Barcelone. Je n'ai pas vraiment eu le choix et j'ai donc accepté. Le nouvel appartement ne correspondait pas à mes attentes et était vraiment différent de celui que j'avais choisi au mois d'aout dernier. De plus, cet appartement fonctionnant avec un code et non des clés, il n'y avait personne pour nous accueillir. En arrivant, personne n'avait eu l'idée de mettre en route le chauffage, ce qui m'aurait semblé légitime pour un mois de décembre. L'appartement était glacé et, compte tenu d'une hauteur sous plafond de près de 4m, il a fallu attendre 12 heures pour obtenir une température correcte. Enfin, je vous informe que nous sommes.revenus avec des piqûres sur le corps ressemblant étrangement à des piqûres de punaise de lit. Bref, pour une première fois avec Abritel, je reste quelque peu sceptique..... Mais, je n'ai peut être pas eu de chance, donc je ne resterai pas sur une mauvaise impression et réitèrerai l'expérience Abritel, en espérant que cette fois je ne serai pas déçu.

Barcelona Diamond in the Rough

This apartment could be a perfect place, location wise, for visitors to Barcelona, but falls way off the mark. The owners do not live in Spain and supposedly have a man named Eduardo as part of the management. Although we were to meet Eduardo on our arrival, the "phantom" Eduardo was never seen. We were left to try to figure out which apartment we had paid for and to figure out how to enter the apartment. We are seasoned travelers and have never experienced something like this before. We were able to figure this out and and after many calls and texts to the number given us, Eduardo texted us to apologize after more than an hour. No one was going to help us with learning about the apartment until we insisted. A cleaning lady named Olga, finally came and we pointed out the many problems we noticed right away. The toilet ran nonstop, the washing machine was not working properly, many lightbulbs were out and there were no manuals on how to use the tv, etc. In the shower, the holder for the handheld shower was broken, which made showering similar to using a garden hose. Olga said she would pass these concerns on to Eduardo. The next day, Krystle appeared and the same problems were shown to her. The shower was fixed and one lightbulb was replaced during our stay. After contacting the owners, Lauren and Fernando, we were given a refund of $85 which seemed inadequate for all the inconveniences. Nothing else was ever fixed and the tv remained unusable. The internet works sporadically, so working from the apartment, might be difficult. After reading other reviews, we found the issue with the toilet had been going on for 5 months. The pictures of the apartment are very misleading and not what you will encounter if you rent this apartment. The towels should be thrown away and for 3 people, only three towels were given to us for our entire week's stay. The apartment needs a thorough cleaning and all rooms need to be painted. We did like the vintage aspects of the apartment (original floors, beamed ceiling) and the location was great to visit many of the sites one would want to see in Barcelona. We truly hope the owners will upgrade the apartment to its potential so that future renters will not be as disappointed and let down as we were.

Quite a few small issues that made our stay less than satisfying. Broken shower head ; noisy toilet.

If the location had not been so close to the sites I wanted to visit, I would have been even unhappier. No one greeted us the next day as promised even though we were told someone would so we could not figure out how to use the washer, etc. The shower head was broken so showering was akin to using a hose. The toilet was very noisy and kept me awake even with the door closed. The bathroom was very tiny with extremely worn and stained towels. The beds were ok but the twin beds only had a duvet which served as the only sheet and did not cover the body entirely.. Cleanliness was an issue. Not horrible, but definitely not acceptable to me. The location was fantastic and I loved the neighborhood. This would be an excellent rental with some minor improvements.

Location was fantastic

The apartment was in a great location. We loved the roof top patio and beautiful tile floors. The bathroom was very small and the shower was difficult to use because the hand held shower head was not mounted on the wall. Due to arriving around 2100 we did not get a orientation to the apartment and had difficulty with the door. Someone did come in a timely manner the next day after we contacted them. We would stay there again.

Misleading photos of a very basic and unclean apartment

Stayed at this property for 7 nights in June with my husband and best friend, booked it based on the photos advertised and the reviews. We paid same as we would in a 4 star hotel and didn't get any of the benefits we were hoping for . The apartment is very dirty and not maintained , towels are stained rags and the kitchen amenities are old and dirty as well ,so you can't really use them , other than the washer dryer machine . The washroom is a joke and yes I know this is Europe and rooms are smaller , I was born and lived in Europe for 24 years and still travel every year but this has to be the worst washroom ever. The toilet is leaking non stop ,we asked for it to be fixed, and we were told this is normal for Spanish toilets ?! It is not as this is not my first time in Spain. The property comes with free internet, that would be great if it actually worked , and it didn't so we had to rely on the internet from the the creperie place down stairs . It also stated one time maintenance and cleaning during our stay , that didn't happen as well. You can't enjoy the rooftop terrace as it is scorching hot, and no shade anywhere, also no-one is maintaining it as well. The only positive thing is the location of the property, very close to the main attractions in Barcelona some are walking distance ,some are short cab ride. We loved Barcelona and we'll be back again but not at this property. I would understand the experience if it was cheap to stay there so the expectations are low , but like I said we paid same ,if not more than a hotel ,and didn't get to enjoy. Suggestion to the management or the owner, this place can be What you advertise it to be, if you only maintain it and clean it properly. Dust everywhere filthy walls and floors makes for an uncomfortable stay in your place .

Nice flat and very central!
