Huge Family House with Pool/Walk to Beach

This amazing large house is built for family fun and relaxation. There are so many spaces to enjoy individually and together when staying at our special beach retreat. Plenty of spaces for cooking and dining for your group with a large, newly renovated kitchen, dining room and outdoor kitchen area. When you want to relax in the summer, the outdoor living area is generous and so much fun with a large pool including all the floats and toys you could ask for, a hammock for relaxing, and a firepit and lounge seating for everyone to comfortably unwind. There are several entertainment areas in the house including a big screen TV and game space on the lower level. Fully immersible stereo sound, professional ping pong table, popcorn machine, game table and shuffleboard are all available for you to enjoy. In the beautifully finished attic, there is a large workout area with a professional grade elliptical machine, rower, full set of weights and a digital work-out mirror. Also in the attic is a full lounge with a second large screen TV and video gaming components. If you want quiet space and time, there are multiple areas to find a quiet reading nook in the den or on the fully enclosed sun porch. There are also fun details like Sonos speakers located all throughout the house, a commercial grade ice cream freezer on the porch and beverage fridges on every level of the home. When you want more fresh air, the beach is a short five minute walk from the driveway and there are beach chairs, kayak and wheeled trolly available for you to use for your day on the water. It's always vacation time at our house.

My family loved the pool and proximity to the beach. Great area for swimmers, cyclists, runners. Home gym was enjoyed by the athletes. I LOVED their outdoor space , kitchen and well thought out amenities.

I must say we were extremely impressed with the property: how it was very well furnished with lots of little touches (ice cream available on arrival)! All the setup for the pool, multitude of games, etc.In fact, the photos of the place do not do it justice - it was above expectations!

The home is beautiful...we greatly appreciated our hosts' thoughtfulness and timely responses to all issues. The pool, pool toys, backyard dining set-up, well stocked kitchen, fantastic game room, ice cream treasure chest, popcorn cart, and more, all helped make for a very happy memorable family vacation. We are planning to come back in 2027.

I recently spent a week at this wonderful home with my husband, sons, their wives and 3 grandchildren. We absolutely loved this house. It was perfect for us. The house was very clean. Liz, the owner, was always quick to respond to questions and provided useful information. We appreciated all the little extras in the house - pinball machines, popcorn machine, and ice cream freezer just to name a few. By far the best feature was the outdoor pool and outdoor sitting area. We did make it to Gulf Beach once but preferred to just hang by the pool. The house was very large which was nice. There was always an area to get some peace and quiet if you felt the need. We would definitely come back to this house another time.

We had an AMAZING experience on this long weekend in Milford. We chose this property in the hopes of creating family memories as we celebrate our college final graduation - the youngest of our three children . Between the pool, fire pit, game room, and huge kitchen, our hopes for the trip were exceeded! The property is spectacular, the home is comfortable and welcoming, extremely clean, and our host was easy to reach and easy to work with. We cannot say enough good things about the trip - our adult children asked if we could come back for a weekend sometime soon because they wished we could’ve spent more time there (and less at the graduation ceremony!)

The house has every amenity you could need, too many to list. Huge pool and backyard for grilling and lounging and enjoying your family. We did beach in the morning and pool in the afternoon with our little ones. Highly recommend this house!

Best House

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this house! It was gorgeous and well maintained. Stocked with anything you could possibly want! The pool was amazing and kids had a blast spending all day enjoying it. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home, great for a family getaway

My family of 10 were in town for my Yale SOM graduation and the home comfortably accommodated us. We enjoyed the pool, fire pit and even took a quick walk down to the beach! The linens were top notch and we all slept well. This home is perfect for large groups and Liz is great to work with

Wonderful Family Gathering Spot

We had a wonderful 90th birthday party here! This beautiful, spotless, spacious home was perfect for our family to celebrate my Mom's big day. The big well-equipped kitchen was a favorite gathering spot. Highly recommend!

Wonderful house with something for everyone. We visited in August, 2025 with 6 adults and 3 children under 7. Lots of space to spread out, and so many fun activities available in the house, in addition to the pool and short walk to the beach. The backyard space is an oasis. The hosts are responsive and care about your experience.

Wonderful weekend retreat

Beautiful property in a great location with lots to do for both children and adults. We had a wonderful weekend there enjoying the pool and outside area. The house is very spacious and has lots of games for the kids to play with. The kitchen is great for entertaining and well equipped for all your cooking needs. The owner is very responsive and helpful with providing everything you need for a relaxing stay.

Stunning home with all the extras!

We came with our family to be close by to my in-laws. The home is beautiful - the pictures do not do it justice. The owners have thought of everything you could possibly need! The kitchen was extremely well stocked. Short walk to an amazing view at the beach. We hope to come back!

Beautiful House - Great Location for Yale

We stayed with my family for my Daughters Yale graduation. House is amazing. Very up to date. Excellent rooms with many bathrooms. Grounds are beautifully maintained. Great kitchen and laundry is available. Pool is wonderful. Short walk to the beach. Host was attentive and so nice to work with. I am grateful that they are willing to share this property.

Great Gulf Beach Property

The house was all we hoped for and more! Liz is an amazing host. The house had many areas we could gather as a group and there were also spots we could sneak away to if we needed solitude. Kitchen was super updated. The gaming room in the basement was a fun. Quick walk to the beach as well. The house was very clean and had some of that New England charm. Thanks Liz!

Wedding weekend

We rented this house for my daughter’s wedding. The house was beautiful! The kitchen was the perfect spot for all the bridesmaids to have their hair and makeup done. The location was close the venue. We were able to relax and enjoy ourselves days before and after the event. The host was very nice to deal with .

Surpassed Expectations

This was a family reunion trip and the property exceeded our expectations. Plenty of room, an amazing kitchen, the basement kept the kids entertained for hours, and the loft was dance party central.The backyard, the pool, grill, and outdoor seating was amazing and relaxing. The chairs on the front porch were by far the most relaxing place to hang out. Endless panoramic views and tons of room for the kids to run and play. We absolutely loved this property. But the best part by far was the host. Liz was above and beyond before and during our stay. Communication was so easy and she helped with everything we needed in a timely manner. We’ve stayed at many places and this is by far the best.

Reunion weekend

A group of college friends and their respective families spent a lovely weekend at this Milford house. Communication with the host was excellent, and the property was very comfortable and welcoming with thoughtful details and ample supplies. The bright and very well equipped kitchen was especially fantastic as a place to gather and spend time in the mornings. We wish the weather and timing had enabled us to spend time outdoors—the pool and backyard looked wonderful—but as it was, we greatly enjoyed our cozy, rainy fall weekend in the comfort of this grand home.

Family Reunion

This property exceeded our expectations and was the perfect gathering place for our family reunion. The home has all the amenities outlined and more as the kitchen was fully equipped and the pool (20’x40’+/-) had lots of chairs, lounge chairs, umbrellas and floating seats. The Barbeque and outdoor eating area was excellent and easily entertained 15 guests. Our host, Liz, was available and helpful in so many ways and helped to make our reunion a success and something that will be talked about for years. All the best, Kevin

This is an amazing property. The Kitchen was "chef friendly" with lots of high end appliances and cooking equipment. It was also huge and made prep for 10 people very easy. Alternatively, there's great take out and restaurants nearby. The house is beautiful, with a 19th century feel (but 20th century systems!) and lovely informal space downstairs with many games. We stayed in November, so did not use the outdoor space, but would spend all our time there in good weather. The host was helpful and accommodating, and very communicative. We easily found everything we needed with a minimum of fuss. There are four "bedrooms" but two more rooms that have pull out sofas that can be made private. We could have had a few more people in less private spaces if needed. The property is beautiful, with a view of the sound from upper floors. Access to exercise equipment was a big plus for our crowd.

A beautiful abode with no shortage of views and things to do!

We loved our stay! The (truly huge) house was located in a peaceful, beautiful neighborhood, just a short five-minute walk to the beach with many more popular state beaches/parks within driving distance. Super close to amenities and conveniences in Milford. It was the perfect setting for our group, with more space than we knew what to do with—tons of bedrooms, multiple living rooms, and areas to relax, gather, talk, and sing (we booked it for our singing group). The place was so comfortable and spacious! The house was spotlessly clean and smelled good upon arrival. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained, with up-to-date appliances that were easy to use and worked smoothly. Despite the serenity of the patio and backyard, I don't think anyone went out there! Between the things to explore in the house (e.g., the pinball machines and games in the basement), the beach, and the rehearsals that kept us busy, we were very well entertained. Finally, our host was very careful, detailed, and communicative. She really wanted to ensure that everything was prepared and made as it should've been for our arrival, and she did exactly that. All in all, this home was a perfect getaway for both relaxation and rehearsal—it offered a wonderful balance of comfort, convenience, and luxury. Our group members all said they really loved it. Would highly recommend!

Gorgeous House, Pool, and Property in Quiet Neighborhood near Gulf Beach

The house and property were spacious, clean and organized. The kitchen was huge with a sink, dishwasher, and garbage at either end and recently redone. It was well equipped for cooking and had cabinets full of everything necessary. All 4.5 baths looked newly renovated and were spotless. The house is beautiful and well cared for with many amenities and fun activities. The pool and patio area are amazing! So many places to sit and relax and very private with plenty of good quality towels for the pool and beach. The house is on a hill so you can see glimpses of the water from the front yard, but the best views are from the second and third floors. Gulf Beach is about a half mile away and a 10 minute walk. The way there is downhill so we walked on the main road on the water. I suggest on the walk back to walk thru the neighborhood instead (Ranch Road) as the hill is less steep. Like the neighborhood, the beach is very quiet and not crowded at all even on a sunny weekend in August. It is a nice contrast from very crowded NJ beaches. The town is charming and has a lot of restaurants. It is too far to walk to, but just a quick drive. This was our first VRBO rental and a great experience. The house was even nicer than expected and had everything (and more) that we needed for a great vacation. The owner (Liz) was very responsive before and during our stay. We didn't turn on any of the TVs but I don't think there is cable so ask if that is important to you.
