THe property was nice. The carpet in the living room rolls up at the ends and is a tripping hazard. The reclining chair seems unsteady also. Everything else was excellent!

Million Dollar View

Look no further than this idyllic home if you want a getaway to the New Mexico mountains. The view is breathtaking and awe-inspiring. The open floor plan gives the sense of not being overcrowded. My husband kept telling me as we gazed at the beauty from our deck that I picked the perfect place to stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed the fresh flowers upon arrival. The place was immaculate. Nice linens and towels. Wonderful space for everyone. Fully stocked kitchen. The most amazing view from both levels of the home and especially when sitting in the hot tub. This is a definite go to and repeat!

All very good but as a senior citizen I find the VRBO booking and checking process to be challenging Just a note .. commode handle in main bedroom bathroom hangs. And must be lifted up after each flush to keep the water from running

Great Cabin!

We loved staying here! The cabin is very nice and clean and well taken care of. It’s decorated nicely. But not so much that we were worried about our little kids breaking everything. We used the gas fireplace a bunch and it made the cabin feel so cozy. Furniture and beds were nice and comfortable. Kitchen wasn’t all that well stocked. But I know that isn’t always the owner’s fault because renter walk away with that stuff sometimes. We were sad to leave. Wish we had one more day. Would recommend!

Beautiful View

As advertised, pleasant, mostly comfortable for 3 couples. The decks & hot tub were nice, though too chilly to enjoy as much as we would have liked. Caution: hot water is scalding and difficult to adjust in the kitchen. Downstairs bed was only a full size, not queen as advertised. V Staff very responsive to questions. Note: you'll have to drive your trash to a dumpster location.

Worth It , can’t wait to come back

This was an unforgettable stay in Ruidoso and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. The property was immaculate, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to prepare meals, and the cozy living room with a fireplace and TV provided the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. The location was ideal, nestled in a serene and picturesque setting with stunning mountain views. It was just a short drive to local attractions, hiking trails, and charming downtown Ruidoso. The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Overall, this VRBO house exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the beautiful surroundings of Ruidoso. I can't wait to return!

Not as nice for the price.

This place is waaay overpriced and not as nice as shown on the listing. There were dirty mugs, gross kitchen countertops and no kitchen towels. We had to use bathroom towels for kitchen towels. Lots of things needed repair or to be replaced altogether. Not well cared for because it’s rented out by a property management company, not the owner direct which also made things complicated and difficult. Great if you just want to party but if you’re looking for a nice place to stay, keep looking.

Not the weekend we hoped for

We recently reserved this spot. Unfortunately when we arrived there was a major leak in the main bathroom and we had our accommodations switched to another property. No longer beautiful views or scenic- off a main road. Grateful to still have the hot tub we had hoped for we were ok but sad and somewhat disappointed.we would have been ok but the second night the lock battery died and we could not get in after a long day out.we had to wait over an hour for the emergency maintenance to let us in and fix. He was kind nor his fault however it was extremely inconvenient and frustrating to have two such things happen same trip. I had hoped this company would reach out and offer to make things right we deserve a discount or some compensation from price for all the inconvenience dealt with. Sadly they did not reach out after I asked for someone to contact me. They did let me know I get the 10% off everyone else does thank you for patronizing me with that discount. I’m a kind customer who would have been happy with small recompense and an apology.they did not instead they the battery.

Okay Stay?

Our stay was okay. It was not the best experience we had, but it was decent. The ad says it's a 2-minute walk from Grindstone Lake. This is misleading because it's definitely not a 2-minute walk; it's actually a 5-minute drive to the lake. We chose the cabin specifically because we thought it was a 2-minute walk to the lake, so that was a bummer. There are definitely some things that would have been nice if they were there. We thought there was no antibacterial hand soap the whole time, but we found some under the cabinet in the downstairs bathroom the day we were leaving. There were bar soaps, but I was not sure if they were antibacterial. No coffee filters. There was very little dish soap, so we had to conserve when doing dishes. They had no seasonings that included salt and pepper. Some of the dishes still had food on them. Especially this spachula we wanted to use. The kitchen table that everyone eats on is extremely sticky, and soap and water did not help at all. So, if you stay here, make sure you bring kitchen essentials because they did not have them and we had to go buy them. The downstairs toilet kept running constantly, and the upstairs bathtub does not drain well. On the plus side, we got to see deer, so that was nice. The location was nice, and it was very spacious. The kitchen was big so it was easy to cook in.

Thank you for your detailed review. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us to improve the experience for future guests. We could not locate anywhere that is states within 2 minutes walking from the lake. Please know we are available anytime to answer any questions about locations or amenities. We aim to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all our guests, and your input is crucial in helping us achieve that goal. We do tell all our guests that we only provide a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towel, soaps, laundry soap and dish soaps and once you run out it is up to you to purchase more. We do not provide spices or oils of any kind. We do inspect all properties prior to arrivals and we apologize if we missed anything. We will work with our housekeepers to insure they do the best job. We hope you will consider staying with us again in the future.
