This little place was in a great location, the apartment was just as described. The bed was comfortable, and the all white sheets and towels were a plus, I asked for more towels because what provided wasn’t enough for 2 people. And they arrived quickly. The shower pressure was dismal to none, but management said they’d look into it. Commons Park being a very short walk was a plus, and Cade 26 right across the street was great for breakfast and lunch. The T and bus stop is steps away..Would recommend this little place to anyone looking for a reasonably priced rental in the heart of Boston. Communication was the best!

Happiness!

Great central location! Tiny but super !would come back . Great food , bars, brewery , breakfast at our doorstep. By the park too!

The location of this particular rental is very good. It's close to downtown, the Boston Common, etc and the area is very walkable. There's plenty of dining options nearby. The building itself: the elevator was scary, with a lot of bumping and noise. Safe in the end, but unsettling at the time. The unit itself is bare bones. If you're planning to spend any time there outside of sleeping and bathing, I wouldn't recommend it as I wouldn't describe it as a comfortable hangout (we were not planning to do this, so it was fine). It was mostly clean, including the bathroom and beds which are most important. Not sure about the carpet..... The shower water pressure was not good, and on one of the two days we were there the water changed temperature for the whole duration of my shower - cold to very hot/very hot to cold, etc. Second day this didn't happen but the pressure remained low. Also there was an odd odor in the unit that wasn't overpowering but present nonetheless. All in all we were satisfied due to the location and the price. But in the future we will keep the negatives in mind when considering options and decide then whether we'll return.

My stay was one night. I drove up last minute the night before an important meeting. In the morning the shower wouldn’t get warm and then the water pressure cut out completely. No water coming from the shower at all. The owners response was that sometimes in the morning it takes an hour to get hot water up to the 6th floor. I needed two things from this stay - a warm bed and a hot shower. I only got 1 of them.

Functional but lacks warmth and character

Unit was as described but very bare bones. Bed was comfortable and property manager was very responsive and it's right off the Boston Common, so great location. But I found it depressing. Needs more lighting in living area and some touches to make it feel less like a dorm room.

Overall 2.5/10. Good price, GREAT location & management communication but POOR everything else. The room resembled the pictures but was incredibly worn & NOT comfortable. The coach was worse than doctor's office furniture. Which luckily we were so busy we didn't spend much time in the unit. The listing said there was hanging space - not true. But they did have an iron. Also, the kitchen was far from "fully equipped". You get only 2 utensils/plates/etc. And when we first arrived the freezer in the mini fridge was completely frozen over. The management sent maintenance up to take care of it while we were out which was much appreciated but overnight all our frozen items melted because it was defrosting. So on day 2, they sent the maintenance guy back but he took all our food out of the fridge & left it on the counter while he went to buy/install a new fridge. We are very grateful they gave us a minimal credit to cover the cost of the food that was lost but we had to ask for it. Nothing else would have been done if we didn't insist. Also it says that there is central ac-NOT TRUE. It is a window unit that you are told upon check in to turn off if you need to use the hair dryer/etc! And the a/c in the main hallway was broken for at least 1 of the days we were there - it was blowing HOT air! Water pressure was non-existent and if you want hot water you have to wait 10 min. Lastly, the elevators seemed to be on their last leg and in need of replacement!

The location is awesome. Downtown next to Boston Common. Close to shopping, movies, restaurants, and subway. And the beds were very comfortable. However, the hot water went out on 2 of the 4 days we were there. Maintenance was very prompt, but it shouldn't have happened. It wasn't that the hot water "ran out." The hot water heater was not turned on! There are 3 keypad locked doors to enter; the main entrance off the street, the 6th floor where we stayed, and our room. On Day 2, the keypad to the 6th floor would not accept any codes. There were 6 of us, all with different codes, trying to open the door. Again, maintenance was *fairly* prompt, but we were huddled on the stair landing with no air conditioning waiting for about 30 minutes. We got to know each other! When we finally got in, the guest staying next to us (who was checking in) could not open the door to her room. It would not accept her code. Luckily, the maintenance man was still dealing with the 6th floor hallway door so he helped her. Things happen. I get it. But 3 issues in 4 days is a bit much. Seems like management may not be on top of keeping ahead of possible issues before they happen.
