Summer stay

the views are great from the condo, everything was clean and in order. The only knocks was the pool and hot tub were closed and you couldnt access the beach thru the property you were on, there were signs everywhere not to use the buildings access or would lose your deposit, you have to walk down the road and go in a public access. All in all the condo its self was perfect and as advertised

The condo was clean and comfortable with a nice floor plan. The balcony was very spacious and the view is second to none. It has underground parking that is very secure and convenient. Our family of five very much enjoyed our time there!

Beautiful, relaxing, vacation spot!

Very relaxing, simple beach access, close to stores, restaurants, attractions. Convenient, safe parking, excellent security. Owners quite willing to share beach chairs, umbrella. Very well-stocked with anything needed. Clean thruout - excellent bed.

Not the most updated condo building and a weird smell on first floor/lobby area. We knew the pool wasn’t open but it sure doesn’t look like it’s been worked on in quite some time. I suspect no money to fix it. Also the pool should not even be shown in the pictures advertising. We knew we would get a pool pass to a neighboring pool but did not expect it to be almost 2 miles down the road so of course never went to it. The view of the ocean from the balcony was beautiful and the host, Cathy, was great and responsive and even told us about a shuttle launch one day that we were able to see.

Condo was perfect. Very clean, great beachfront location.

Highly recommend this condo to anyone. The owner is very pleasant and attentive. Beautiful beachfront condo and very clean. The outside deck is hugh!! Enjoy your morning coffee, and evening nightcap listening to the soothing sounds of the ocean. The beds were super comfortable. We will definitely stay here again!!

Great Condo, Amazing View, Responsive Owner!

Condo was very clean and very well appointed. The complex is conveniently located close to shopping and restaurants. Balcony view was amazing especially at sunrise! The owner, Cathy, was quick to communicate from first inquiry all the way through check out.

Awesome condo with AMAZING views!

This condo was perfect for our stay! Great floor plan, beautiful views, easy access to the beach, secure building, and very clean! The condo had everything we needed, including beach chairs and umbrella. It is super close to the grocery store, pharmacy, awesome restaurants (go to Aunt Catfish!!!), and beach stores. I highly recommend staying at this condo!!! We plan on coming back again and again!

Perfect place to stay for a vacation

My mom, sisters and I had a awesome week at your condo. Everything was exactly the way you described it. I have stayed in lot of condos but this was by far the best ever. The view was amazing and I can't wait to come back and rent it again. We had so much fun and made lots of family memories here. Thanks for sharing your place with us. Lovely condo, very clean, beautiful beach view and location. Walk out of building to pool and beach and owner provided great beach supplies, all that we could need. We spent several days and enjoyed every moment. The washer and dryer provided in the unit was a great convenience. Stores and restaurants very convenient to condo. Will certainly see if this unit is available next time we visit Daytona.

Great condo @ a great value!!

Great 2 bedroom oceanfront condo! Clean, all you need in the kitchen, plenty of linen, beach chairs & umbrella. A quick stop by the grocery and you won't have to leave all week! Juan was great to deal with, quick clear communication. We have stayed at some of the other "touristy" resorts in Daytona Beach for several years but the comfortable quietness of the Sand Dollar will definitely bring us back. Thanks Juan, for a relaxing vacation. Wish it could last another week!!!!

Wonderful Relaxation

Being able to see the ocean from the balcony and having a pool were two of our must haves and this location didn’t disappoint. The views were amazing! We even saw dolphins playing in the waves! The condo had a fully functional kitchen, fully stocked with linens and towels, beds were comfortable and condo was spacious. Also has boogie board for ocean, we bought and left two tennis rackets (courts are behind Publix’s) and has beach chairs. The only thing we found that this condo didn’t have was a large insulated cup for beach and pool beverages. Overall we had an amazing time and definitely want to come back!

Super Condo!!

Hi Juan, Just getting home and it's 50 degrees in Tennessee! It was a wonderful 80 + in Daytona Shores when we left. What a great week we had. The updates to the condo were a treat, really good job, can't wait to see more. So many owners don't take care of their property like you do. Looking at the res. calendar, we'd better book again soon! We're hoping for 2 trips next year. Thanks again. Sandy

We had a great week in this beautiful condo. The view of the beach is absolutely gorgeous as you can see way up the beach in either direction. We really are more balcony beach lovers and this was just right for us. The bed was comfortable and that was a big thing for us also. Very clean. Washer and dryer we used almost every day. We bought I cream and the freezer didn’t keep it frozen (about like a milkshake) but ice maker works great and it keeps other things frozen good. We did go to down on the beach one day and the chairs, umbrella, dip net and boogie board are all in the condo, (we had none) another plus. The owner was great to work with. He is very nice and helpful. Overall~AWESOME!!

Family of Six

The owner’s website is very useful and informative and helped us make our decision to give them a try. Next, the owner was very prompt in replying to our emails, informing us of “next steps” and sending us our key and garage pass. When the six of us (four adults and 2 kids) arrived, everything was as promised. The condo was very clean and new-looking. The kitchen is well-supplied. The beds were comfortable with good sheets. The bathrooms were very nice with good towels. Air conditioning worked great! The patio furniture was superb! The swimming pool and deck were very nice, and the beach PERFECT! The beach chairs at the condo worked perfectly for us and the children found the gently sloping beach a great place to test out the boogie boards we’d brought. We all wanted to live there! Thanks, owners, for providing us such a wonderful experience!

Perfect location. Very enjoyable!

I really wanted to give a five star rating because it was very enjoyable even though we were there during the pandemic. Which puts even more emphasis on why I couldn’t give five stars. We flew in and it was late so we stopped at Walmart because we wanted to be set for the week and not have to leave first thing in the morning to get our groceries for the week. When we got to the condo I was dismayed to find that there were remnants of wet food in the sink stopper and when we went to put our food in the refrigerator it was dirty. And I mean food particles, Crumbs, spills,and I wouldn’t leave my refrigerator in my house like that. We had to give it a complete wipe down And sanitation. Then when I went into use the restroom in the master bedroom there was a paper strap across it as it was clean but A large smear of excrement in plain sight at the back of the seat. I immediately sent photos which I still have to Cathy. She voiced surprised because she had even been in there after they left but said she didn’t check the refrigerator. No Explanation for the food remnants in the sink or the nasty toilet other than saying they usually do such a great job. She offered to have the cleaning company come back the following day but I can tell you this I was not going to use the refrigerator or the toilet without thoroughly cleaning everything down before using them. I am a nurse and I didn’t ordinary situation I would’ve had to sanitize it for me and my family but especially during a pandemic outbreak. Needless to say that was not what I wanted to do just arriving on a vacation. I also messaged Cathy before we came that there was a toilet paper shortage In our state and I wanted to be sure that there was plenty of toilet paper in the condo for the four of us for the week for obvious reasons. She assured me that there was no toilet paper shortage. There was no toilet paper at any of the stores. We had to purchase expensive paper napkins because that was all that was left. I was told at the check-in desk that she was surprised that we were told there was no paper shortage there because there obviously was. Cathy did offer to compensate us a bit if we ever returned, However, we are not in the position to take A vacation every six months/year and having a son that will graduate as an officer in the ROTC our trips will be spent going to see wherever he will when he goes active for the next 4 years.I have never left a review less than 5 stars but these were stre

Lovely decorated. Beautifully furnished balcony with outstanding view.caring maintenance and management personnel. Greeted personally by the owner who was most accommodating. I recommend this property highly.

A great stay!

We are a family with older teens that wanted to spend time together. This place is a quiet place away from the busy, downtown area. I liked the extra security with parking garage. The other tenants there were very friendly and helpful. It’s in a great location for grocery stores, restaurants, mini golf. Beach was wondeful in front, great for walking. We loved the balcony with its view and it was so spacious, we loved eating and sitting out there!! Definitely a place we come back to stay.

Location

We have snowbird friends that own in Port Orange. We did a lot of Ubering this month at a great rate. We also walked the beach daily and went to Crabby Joe’s a couple times on our walk. It was perfectly located for everthing we needed.

Amazing vacation!!

Cathy was awesome!!! This condo was perfect and had everything we needed!! The balcony was huge!! Beds were comfortable!! Felt right at home and didn't want to leave! We will be back!!

Property was very nice

We had a great time and the property was very nice. Only drawback was the hot tub was sooo small no one could get into it. A 4 person hot tub is not sufficient for this property.

The condo is primarily for our own enjoyment. Most of our renters are friends and long time past renters.We bought the unit in January 2010 and have since totally renovated it including new carpets and drapes, Flat Screen High Definition LCD TV/DVD just to mention a few. We first looked at New Smyrna but found Daytona Beach Shores offers so much more for your money, for instance, there was not building we could find in Smyrna that offered the luxury, security, posh look and privacy the Sand Dollar has. There is no way an unwanted visitor can gain access to the building, let alone our unit.
The private, ginormous balcony has a 180 degree uninterrupted oceanfront view of the Atlantic Ocean from North to South as far as the eye can see. The Balcony is definitely the best feature and the one that sold us.
We own and manage several other units in Sand Dollar as well as 3 Bedroom units 2 miles south. Feel free to call us at 949-842-2849.
