Great stay

Location was beautiful. Alberto, the caretaker, was great and took care of every need. Views and experience was great. Looking forward to returning again soon..

Second visit as great as the first!

This was our second visit to Villa Gauguin and the town of Akumal...truly, a family favorite. Francisco and Gladys provide incredibly hospitality and the house provides sits right on the entrance to the bay. Already planning our next visit in 2019!

Villa Gauguin was wonderful!

Everything was top notch at this residence. We had stunning views, a fully equipped kitchen, and a caretaker who was incredible. Alberto and his wife Cynthia were incredibly welcoming, helpful and hardworking. We hope to return to Villa Gauguin in the future. It was an incredible stay!!

Wonderful stay!

We had a group of 10 women for a bachelorette party, and this house was absolutely perfect. Photos don’t even do it justice, and the house staff was superb. The food and drinks they prepared were great and it was so nice to not need to think about getting groceries or cooking or cleaning up while on vacation. I would definitely recommend this house!

We absolutely loved Villa Gauguin

We absolutely loved Villa Gauguin, it is amazing and the Lord willing we will return. Francisco and Gladis were wonderful too. The meals they prepared were the best we had in Akumal and you know how good the food is in Akumal! When they prepared our rooms they were quick and kept a low profile, very professional.

This is the place to get away from all the noise and enjoy amazing views while relaxing in the zero edge pool or snorkeling in the lagoon just steps away. I highly recommend going to Akumal!

Beautiful home. We had 5 couples. Great location on lagoon. Pool was magnificent. You should have no worries at all when booking.

great stay

We had a great stay at villa guaguin!!! The place was amazing and for 10 people there was plenty of space. We enjoyed snorkeling right outside the house. Francisco and Gladys do a great job taking care of the house and made some great food for us. We had about 5 meals at the house including grilled fresh amberjack that I caught. We would love to come back.

Beautiful house! Great outdoor area & comfortable, clean outdoor furniture. The view was unbelievable. Alberto & Cynthia made dinner for us most nights - every one loved what they served. The golf cart was a hit with the 3 teens traveling with us.

Overall experience

The property was fabulous. Carlos and his wife were very helpful yet unobtrusive. There were 10 of us, a multi-generational group and everyone had a great time.

It comes with two house caretakers, Cinthia and Alberto, who are so sweet and take care of everything from cleaning, maintenance and helping you with bags. We hired a chef for the duration of our stay, which I highly recommend doing as well.

Beautiful home, peaceful location!

We had an amazing stay for 5 days with 10 adults. Akumal is one of our favorite places to visit, and it was such a treat for us to stay at the Villa. Fransisco and Gladys who are the caretakers also cooked many of our meals for us. They were accommodating to vegetarians, and we LOVED the food they made! In dealing with Dominique in setting up the reservation and making changes...it couldn't have been easier! We will definitely return to Villa Gaugin!!!!

Stunning house, views, service and stay!!

There aren't enough words to describe this house, the pictures don't do justice to this beautiful house. The view from every corner of the house is second to none. The service by Gladys and Francisco was perfect, they prepared delicious local food and were always on site in case we needed them. I highly recommend this property and while there, taking afternoon trips to the lagoon, no one is there after 5 pm, and its just a short walk from the house, good place to snorkel or kayak.

Wonderful stay in Akumal!

What a wonderful time we had in Akumal! The house was just as lovely as in the pictures, and the location was ideal. We enjoyed the short run (less than one mile) into town every morning, as a way to get some exercise during the stay. The Italian restuarant across the street had great food and was very accomodating of our big group. The lunches & dinner were very good Mexican dishes, and we were also able to prepare 'special' request items at will. Only improvement idea would be to add a washer & dryer, but since we knew about this beforehand, we were prepared. Thanks for a great stay.

Beautiful home, amazing view and superb service

I just wanted to say thank you for everything. Your home was beautiful and with amazing views, and the lagoon infront for snorkeling is such a plus!!! The pictures does not do it justice, it's definitely a house one must experience :) Francisco and Gladys were incredible. Francisco definitely makes the best margaritas and is an amazing cook. He was incredibly helpful and super respectful. I would definitely want to come back in the future. I highly recommend this home!!!

The Perfect Setting for Magic!

The property itself is stunning and accommodating. But where I was truly impressed was with Francisco and Gladys, the house staff and private chefs! - Such hospitality, care and thoughtfulness, I will recommend this stay and these house managers to anyone! The ONLY qualm we had with any of the process was via Ron and Sherrie, who seemed to not have the best answers to logistics questions, such as, what type of transportation to use from the airport, how to give drivers directions, etc. Other than that, it was a perfect 10!
