About this space
This cozy basement suite allows you to easily visit Washington DC's many attractions. Cross the street to access the Metro bus which is 5 stops from the eastern market metro station and Navy yard district. It is minutes from US Capitol and the National mall.
The space
This modern English basement will have you feeling at home. After a long a long day of sight seeing, or work, you will relax in the jet tub or watch Amazon prime.
Guest access
From the front of the home, follow the stainless steel lights to the rear of the home. You may access the suite by the keypad code. It will be available once your reservation is confirmed

Very nice and quiet space. Clean and well stocked. The host Damond and family are very nice and communication was amazing! They even had a guide of some of their favorite place.

The Cozy Cottage is where it’s at!

Damon and his family are great host! Answered all our questions quickly and accurately. The cottage is very cozy and close to all you would want to do while in DC. We celebrated our 20th anniversary here and just had a great time and would highly recommend this property.

Had a wonderful time!

The place was neat, clean, had great amenities, and was a great spot to come back to and crash after a long weekend of being at a festival. Would absolutely come back to this place again!

We loved our stay

The location was perfect if you are trying to go to the capitol. The property manager was very nice and made sure all of our questions were answered. The jet tub was a game changer. Everything was clean and comfortable.

Very cozy

Very cozy place….my boyfriend and I came to DC to celebrate his birthday and wanted to feel like we were home. This place was so adorable. Now he’s 6’7 so the ceiling was funny for him, we got a good laugh out or that. The owner was very accommodating even the dog greeting us with smiles lol. We would book again

Great stay very close to Capitol Hill

The place was clean. The host was very nice and offered helpful advice and tips on travel in and out of the city. Check in was simple and check out was a breeze. We felt welcomed when we came in and were very pleased with our stay.

Great place!

Sweet space conveniently located in a nice residential area near Capitol Hill. Plenty of room, clean, and had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. Communication with the owner Damond was easy and helpful—he’s very friendly!

Great location

My daughter and I were in DC for 7 days. This was the perfect place to relax after a day of walking the Capital City. The owner was helpful and friendly. I would recommend this cozy suite to family and friends.

Excellent reasonably priced stay

Damond is very accommodating, space was well kept, clean and exactly as described. Jacuzzi tub worked perfect and spacious nice shower as well. Will return in the future.

Comfortable and spacious basement apartment

Really nice, well appointed full 1 bedroom apartment. Well outside of downtown DC, but in a nice neighborhood conveniently located on the #32 Metrobus line. (Travel time from 14th and Pennsylvania NW is about 35 minutes plus a 4 minute walk). The only minor complaint is the sound of footsteps above, but that faded away early enough as to not present any real issue.

Weekend away

The room was perfect for my wife and myself. Very clean and smelled very nice! Comfortable bed! Street parking was great. Short drive to the sights. Great experience!

Great spot in DC close to the capital

Great Parking, Friendly Hosts, Clean Place

Overall my stay was great. Everything I needed (iron, washed, dryer, etc) was there, the living space and bathroom were clean, the host was friendly. You can hear the hosts family above you but they’re not super loud and I honestly spent most of my stay out and about DC. Also have a cute doggy named Rocky! Very sweet boy. Definitely recommend.

Amazing place

The Cozy place was great. The host was wonderful and easily accessible when needed for a couple of minor issues. The apt. Was spotless well appointed with a lot of little touches that made our stay very enjoyable!! 5 stars highly recommend!!

Best Hot Tub Ever

The property was very clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed for our stay. We used the hot tub every night to relax after site seeing all day. The neighborhood was quiet and quant. The host was very responsive and helpful. We would stay here again!

EXACTLY as described, but better!

This is a cozy, quiet, immaculate basement apartment in the host’s home. We parked right in front of the house every night. The mattress was so comfy with the softest sheets ever. The hosts gave much attention to detail in many things… like coffee for the pot, flavored creamer in the fridge, a Brita water pitcher, pizza bagel bites in the freezer, cocoa, tea, chocolates, and Visitors Guides & maps! My husband and I were not planning a second honeymoon, but this turned into one, influenced by the romantic ambiance of the two-person hot tub, dual shower heads, votive lights, scented candles, and an electric fireplace! 😉😍 There are steps and pavers enroute to the apt entrance at the back of the house, which could be awkward for us old folks, but there are sturdy handrails, rubber mats, and motion-detected security lights along the whole path so we had no problem. (Watch your head going down the stairs into the apt if you are tall though!) There’s no thermostat to control the AC but somehow the room temp was perfect for us, day and night. There’s a box fan but we didn’t need it. Baseboard heaters also in every room. Plenty of bright lighting and convenient electric outlets for chargers, curling iron, etc. Damont provided instructions for everything, but of course was available for any questions. (But the only question we had to ask him was, “Can we extend our stay?!”) This was a short trip to DC for us but we will absolutely stay here again if we come back.

Stay here if you are in Washington DC

Host was very accommodating and help ful. The apartment was very clean with all the amenities. Will recommend to anyone I know that will be visiting the DC area.

Very Clean place and friendly host

Comfortable and very clean! Friendly host. It is a 30 minute bus ride to get to the mall if you don’t have a car, but the bus stop is close.
