Welcome to Jungle Garden St. John, Virgin Islands!
Jungle Garden is a beautiful NEW island getaway nestled in the tropical lush greenery on the gorgeous island of St. John.

This hidden gem is located up centerline road in the Estate Grunwald area, just a short drive to Cruz Bay.

There is no hot tub. It's a glitch with VRBO and they are working to remove. Jungle Garden amenities include AIR conditioning in both guest bedrooms,, living room and kitchen area. The main bedroom has a king size bed with direct access to the outdoor patio, a flat screen TV, plenty of closet space and dresser drawers. The second guest room has a full size bed, the bathroom features granite counter tops and a walk in shower, a convenient half bathroom on the outside deck, an air conditioned cozy living room with a HUGE flat screen tv, lots of windows with natural light, a comfortable sectional couch, ceiling fans, a workspace desk, beamed ceilings, a chefs kitchen with granite countertops, upgraded stainless steel appliances, a coffee maker, a toaster, a blender, dishes, pots and pans, a full size refrigerator, a 4 burner stove top/oven combo with a center griddle and a built in microwave, all the comforts of home. Enjoy the tropical breezes while sipping on cocktails or wake up with your morning coffee while lounging on the deck surrounded by nature, fruit trees, flowers and a koi pond. Jungle Garden has a wide variety of fruits and vegetables such as pineapple, bananas, pumpkin, papaya, sweet potato, sugar cane, coconut, sugar apples, custard apples, mangos, breadfruit, avocados, pomegranates, starfruit, passion fruit, Caribbean apricots, oranges, sweet spinach and many beautiful tropical flowers. Soak up the peace and tranquility while still close enough to the world famous white sand beaches and turquoise waters of the Caribbean. Shop, dine at delicious hot spots and visit the famous bars all while soaking in everything St. John has to offer. This is the perfect destination for your next island vacation. There is no pool or hot tub. This is a glitch with VRBO, they are currently working to resolve. Thank you

We love this home. We wanted to stay away from the crowded areas and this was the perfect location for us. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the beautiful birds. It had everything we needed.

Great communication with the host and the home was perfect. The road getting there is a little challenging but you have to expect that on St John. We were surrounded by nature and the deck was perfect. Tons of seating areas and the house had everything we needed.

This property was great. Very relaxing patio in the middle of rain forest like fruit trees. Host was very generous and place was fully stocked with everything we needed.

Short stay inthe garden

What a beautiful place. It was fun getting to Matt's place with the winding roads. My favorite part of the house was the kitchen and the deck. We saw so many birds in the morning with our coffee .Matt gave us some fruit that we really enjoy and we all liked talking to him . The beds were very comfortable. The TV was great in the evening . Communication with Melissa was easy and she was quick to respond back to me. When I come to St Johns again I will stay at the jungle garden

Fabulous stay; great getaway

VRBOs are hit or miss, but this place is an absolute hit. The host did all the little things to make us feel welcomed- waters, bug spray, little shampoos, coffee. Plus, what a beautiful place - truly a gem tucked in the “jungle” of St. John. As others have written, getting there is quite the adventure - the steepest streets I have ever been on and many discarded vehicles to get around, but nothing the hosts can do about that. Lovely visit.

Perfectly located

We had a wonderful stay! The property was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. One of the highlights was the thoughtful extras provided—beach chairs, a cooler, and snorkeling gear, which made our beach-hopping adventures so much easier. The location was fantastic, just a short distance from Cruz Bay. Highly recommend this place for a family! Owner was very responsive. Even brought us fresh papaya.

Great well-equipped house

The house was great with many beach chairs, towels and snorkeling gear we could use. Fully equipped kitchen, AC in every room, a huge TV with Netflix. Good communication with the host, who also shared ripe papayas with us. Thank you! The road leading to the house is narrow and has sharp turns. Parking is directly on the road.

Jungle Garden indeed!

This property is in a great location and is surrounded by jungle. The only noises were the on property pond and birds. Very comfortable spaces and extra touches like beach towels/chairs and coolers were terrific. We appreciated the binder with restaurant menus, maps, etc.

Amazing Property

The property itself is impressive. Communication with the owner/property manager is fantastic, and I can't praise them enough. The only downside is that the roads to the property are very steep and narrow, but manageable.

St John Stay March 2024

The home was in the heart of the island, experiencing the real love as one of the native islanders. It was wonderful listening the chickens wake us up in the morning and my kids loved feeding the fish.

Love Love Love Jungle Garden

We had a fantastic trip to St. John and enjoying the Jungle Garden definitely added to the experience. I lived in St. John 10 years ago so it was so much fun to bring my family back for a quick 5 day trip. The house had everything you would ever need for family beach bumming. Chairs, coolers, and loads of fresh water. The patio was a favorite spot for grilling and listening to music after a long day doing nothing at the beach. The beds were super comfrotable and the couch was perfect for those down times. We will keep this spot in mind when retruning back to Love City!

Awesome stay at Jungle Garden property

We were very pleased with our stay at the Jungle Garden house. Everything was great, the owner lives in the proximity and he takes great care and pride in the property. Plenty of tasty, local fruits in the garden. The house is very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. We will come back! Thank you, Matthew and Melissa for two awesome weeks!

a little worn

The host was quite nice and it was great to have 2 bedrooms for our vacation. But the property could use some maintenance. The bathroom window's crank was broken and would not close, so it was a constant source of bugs. In general, chipping/missing paint, missing cabinet knobs/handles, holes in the walls and a front door that had to be jiggled to lock. Property was 1 bathroom. Not sure where the extra 1/2 bath is supposed to come from?

Wonderful St John Lodging

My friends and I had an excellent stay at the property for another friend’s wedding. The property was spacious, furniture and beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was stocked with all that we may need. The kitchen was also excellent for prepping breakfast before we headed out for the day. The air conditioning units worked great but were loud in one bedroom - however, not an issue because it served as a white noise machine. The welcome binder that they provided was extremely informational! Check in and out was very easy and the host was available for questions during our stay. I gave one less star for location because some cabs were reluctant to take us. Shout out to Chris and Marvin who were our go-to guys during the stay and had no issues getting us to Mathew’s place. If you do rent a car the residential road getting up to the property can be a little tight, so just use caution! Overall this property was an excellent stay and we were sad to leave. We enjoyed the fish and the chickens and the lizards on the property. Thank you, Mathew and Melissa, for being such great hosts!

Relaxing

This property is located close to Cruz Bay and the main beaches. It was very quiet, had everything we needed for our short stay. It is located in a residential neighborhood with security cameras so we felt safe staying here. They have a dedicated parking spot on the road which was nice. The streets to access this property are quintessential St. John roads- steep and winding! Overall, a nice place to stay to explore the island. Communication with Melissa was excellent- she prepared us for everything regarding the rental and checked in with us during our stay. Wifi was really good too, if this matters to you. Loved having use of beach chairs as well!
