The owner was very quick at answering our questions and made the entire stay enjoyable. We also loved how the place felt so away from everything and was so quiet and peaceful. Hoping to stay at this property again in the future!

Ches was more than helpful and accomodating with all of the perks -- kayaks, pickleball, foosball, etc -- and gave us extra time for checking out.

This guest house is adorable, peaceful, and was exactly the retreat I needed to relax. Tons of wildlife were in the area to watch and the bed was super comfy. I rested very well here and would love to come back. The host Ches is a lovely man who made sure I had everything i needed and kindly checked in with me throughout my 4 day stay to ensure I didnt need anything.

Great little place

Quiet place that works great for a couple looking for an easy getaway. Very clean and worked great for our visit to Land Between the Lakes.

A Sparkling Weekend!

Well when we forst arrived. It was bigger than we expected!! The outside area was just perfect! Really enjoyed the fire pit. It was nice and relaxing. All of it was great! Can't wait to plan another getaway here. Thank You Again.

A short getaway.

The cabin cottage was lovely. Enjoyed our stay. Our host was very nice. A couple of things could improve. The back landscape from the deck could imp. The internet also shutdown at 10 pm. Still it was a wonderful stay. We didn't spend anytime durning tthe day there. Spent most of our day time in the Land Between the Lakes.

Little slice of heaven

Enjoyed sitting on deck drinking coffee watching momma deer with twins and squirrels. We didn’t get around to using kayaks that were available. We will definitely do it next time!

Perfect Getaway for 2!

We drug our feet planning our anniversary weekend getaway - waiting so much until the last minute that nothing was showing available. I sent Ches & Spring a message asking if they had anything else available and unbeknownst to me, the Ponderosa guesthouse was still available. They took extra steps to make sure that we were able to check in Friday and stay through Sunday. The main cabin is beautiful, but the little guesthouse was so charming! It's very clean and updated on the inside but not so much that you lose the feel of being away and unplugged. If you're like me and can't sleep without sound of some sort, don't forget to bring a fan or sound machine because it's QUIET. You will hear every acorn drop and wildlife walking in the night. Speaking of wildlife, we sat outside and ate breakfast both mornings and had deer close enough for viewing join us. We only had two problems while there we ran into. One being the water levels were low (nothing they could control) which made getting the kayaks (which they had for us to use!) in the water a chore. We also lost power Saturday morning, but Ches responded quickly to our call and came to the rescue while we were kayaking and had it fixed by the time we came back. Spring recommended we try A Taste Of The South Restaurant, and I'm so glad we took the time to go have lunch there. The best staff and family vibes - not the mention the food was soooo good! Overall this little cabin and host were so great and just what we needed!

It felt very secluded which is perfect if you are looking for quiet. I highly recommend using the kayaks on the inlet that connects to the property; it was beautiful. Ches was very helpful. The kitchen was clean and had ample dishes and utensils. The bed was comfortable. the bathroom was clean and was bigger than it looked on the pictures.
