This is an honest review as it’s a very expensive property. The location was perfect, right on the shore line with beautiful views of the crashing waves, just what we wanted. It was a shame the neighbour let their dog poop on their balcony and we had that to look at before they cleaned it up eventually. No fault of this property though, of course. The check in was a bit stressful as I hadn’t received any check in details on any of my communication emails so eventually upon arrival I clicked ‘contact the host’ and up popped a load of messages with instructions which worked fine. It would have been better to email these so I had them without panicking and trying to make contact. The property itself is extremely dated. It needs a full strip out as it hasn’t been done since the early 2000’s and it looked very tired. The baseboards were peeling the floor being cleaned a lot, the couch was tired, the decor was very dated and the appliances had dents in them. For the price paid for this place it should be modernised. It had a build up of scum around the taps so clearly has a wipe down between visits and not a scrub. The laundry was tough as it’s wasn’t in the apartment, but up and down tonnes of steps so was tricky, but we used it and appreciated it. It was a very untidy area. The communal fireplace wouldn’t work even after trying for a few mins so we abandoned that, but the patio was a nice place to hang out. I think for the price we paid to stay here, it needs attention.
