Palm Springs Luxury Architectural Pool Home in the Movie Colony - with Lap Pool

Award-winning, architect-designed luxury retreat in Movie Colony East. City Permit No. 4190. Featured in Palm Springs Life and honored with a Luxe Architecture Award, this stunning home wraps around a 25-yard lap pool with waterfall and outdoor fireplace. Bespoke art, furniture, and marble finishes throughout. Italian range, bi-fold doors, outdoor shower. Sleeps 8. Walk to downtown in 10 min. Pool heating $100/day. Guests 25+, 8-person limit enforced.

Outside, the 25-yard two-lane lap pool is the centerpiece, flanked by a waterfall, built-in concrete loungers, and two soaring date palms that give the property a tropical, resort-like feel. Barbecue poolside, play bocce in the back garden, rinse off in the outdoor shower, or simply watch the sun sink behind the San Jacinto mountains from the outdoor fireplace.

When it's time to unwind indoors, curl up by the fire and stream a movie, or gather around the chef's kitchen with its Italian range and custom finishes. The fourth bedroom is set up as a bunk room with privacy curtains on each bunk, ideal for kids or a group of friends who don't mind sharing.

The property sits on a secluded lot that affords a rare level of privacy, something our guests from the entertainment and music industries have particularly appreciated. We understand the value of a quiet, undisturbed weekend away, and discretion is something we take seriously. Personal assistants are welcome to reach out directly with any questions or special arrangements.

A Ring doorbell with a camera at the front door records video. There are 3 cameras at each outside corner of the property to deter potential crime when the house is empty.

this is the second time we have stayed at this property. We love the location which is within walking distance of downtown Palm Springs. The home is beautiful and the pool lovely . Very relaxing and close to hiking, spas, and shopping.

Excellent property

We have a sibling trip every year and this year was made even better by choosing a shared home instead of 4 separate hotel rooms. The house was immaculate and very comfy. The pool was amazing and communication was flawless. Highly recommend.

Jill was extremely accommodating! The house was incredible in every sense, every amenity available. Wish the Primary had a TV, but such a beautiful place, it wasn’t needed. Will definitely stay again!

Relaxation with Style

Immaculate property with all the upgrades and trimmings you would want. The property manager Steve and owner Jill were most accommodating and flexible. We are hoping to rent again, which we have never done before with any other property.

Perfect stay.

The house was lovely and exactly as presented online. Liason with the owner before-hand was prompt, polite and she kindly obliged us with a very early check-in so my husband could get set up for a meeting. Terrific large pool and lovely areas around the pool to hang out. Large bbq/ grill and well equipped kitchen which we used. We would certainly return. Thank you also to Steve the house manager who was fantastic.

Fabulous Weekend in the Desert

My family and I (husband and two kids - ages 13 and 10) had a wonderful and relaxing Holiday weekend at this property. It was just the four of us, but we certainly would have still felt comfortable if another family joined us. The home is only 2,500SF, but it lives much larger than that. The ceilings are at least 10', the layout is extremely thoughtful and the outdoor living space is ample. In addition, the interior finishes are stunning. We loved all the attention to detail. The property is very private, even though you are in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. My husband and I enjoyed long walks around town in the mornings, enjoying the quintessential Palm Springs architecture. We will definitely return.

Stunning Home and perfect location!

What becomes immediately apparent about this property is the attention to detail in every aspect - every single thing from the overall architecture of the home, to the spectacular swimming pool, to the interior decor, to the concrete floors with inlaid tile, to the soap bottles in the showers. Thought and care went into literally everything and the outcome is a place that feels awash in luxury, serenity and harmony within its surroundings. Upon driving through the gate, there is an immediate sense of privacy that continues throughout the entire house, in spite of very large glass doors and windows everywhere and a perfectly executed feeling of indoor/outdoor living. This is a place where you need never close the curtains and the mountains glowing red in the sun feel like your next door neighbor. The location is also perfect for easy access to just about everywhere. That it sits across the street from the lovely Ruth Hardy Park is just a bonus. Add to all of the above a host and property manager that are terrific. Jill, thank you for letting us stay in your incredible home, which should be a case study in design. Steve, thank you for taking such good care of us. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our family of five loves Palm Springs, and we hope you do too. As a residential architect, I've designed homes for over two decades all over the world, including this home in Palm Springs.

Derfor valgte værten dette overnatningssted

From hiking in nearby Joshua Tree, playing tennis and pickle ball in Ruth Hardy Park (just beyond the property gate), spending time by the pool playing corn hole or gathered around the fire, we're never at a loss for enjoying Casa Caballeros and the city of Palm Springs at any time of year.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

This property is extremely private, with a 6' wall around the entire perimeter and an auto gate at the end of the driveway, plus it's location in the center of a block in the heart of the East Movie Colony means it is truly an oasis yet walkable to restaurants and parks! A large pool with an additional 75' x 8' lap pool (complete with lane stripe), and outdoor barbeque, a chef's kitchen, and lots of room for lounging indoors and out means there's something for everyone in the family.
