Birchwood cabin

The cabin was excellent and well appointed. We loved the fire pit outside. It was centrally located with easy access to all of the highlights in door County.

The Perfect Door County Hideaway!

If you’re dreaming of a cozy escape that’s just a short stroll from the charm of Sister Bay, this is the spot. The decor is absolutely pristine- think modern comfort meets rustic retreat. It feels like you’re tucked away in nature, yet you’re only minutes from all the shops, restaurants and waterfront fun that make Door County so special. It’s the best of both worlds: peaceful and private, but close to everything you came for.

The Birch Cabin was perfect for our visit to Door County. The home was beautifully decorated, contained every ammenity we could need, and we had great communication with the owner. We would definitely stay here again. The price was reasonable, the home very clean, the towels were soft and bed comfy. It was private and quiet, tucked away in the woods and close to everything. Loved this cabin!

Perfect wooded cottage for a relaxing weekend!

Your cozy cottage proved to be the perfect spot for an early spring weekend getaway. We loved the tasteful design and amenities--you really thought of everything! When we had a small issue at the end of our stay being locked out, you were able to resolve it immediately, which we appreciated! We hope to visit again soon.

No complaints!

We had a wonderful stay in this updated, cleanly and quaint cabin in Sister Bay. We had everything we needed and it was close to the town. We could have walked into town if we really wanted to but it was a very short drive. The fire pit area outside was such a nice place to enjoy a coffee in the morning. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful cabin!

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous and in a great location. The only downside that we had is the shared driveway, which might not be an issue normally but the cabin next to us has ten cars so it made it very difficult to get in and out. But the cabin itself was wonderful and I would highly recommend staying here!!

Lovely Cabin

Lovely cabin tucked away in the woods but only about 1 mile from downtown Sister Bay. Cabin was extremely clean, kitchen was fully stocked with all kinds of kitchen ware, very nice to have an outdoor fire pit available for use. Cabin is updated in modern decor and the owner was always responsive with communication. Check in was easy.

Perfect in every way. Quiet Perfect Location everything you need for a great vacation

They thought of every detail! Beautiful exterior private lighted outdoor firepit just to the side of home. Fireplace is perfect entryway with full kitchen amenities. Comfortable beds and pillows. The first place I have ever stayed where I didn't want to leave the home. Every need taken care of!

Cozy home close to town

We enjoyed our stay very much, thank you. There were some smaller bees hiving by the front door, but the host was responsive and i'm sure it will be handled. Lovely, quiet, but walkable to town location and all the finishes and furniture were cozy but modern, which is hard to find sometimes in DC. Thanks for letting us bring our furry friend, he loved the dog park close by. Be sure to be mindful of the 10 am checkout or communicate if you go a few minutes over. This is a great place to stay and owners were communicative and flexible. Thanks again.

Even better then pictures!

Was so impressed by the quality of this home! The pictures, while beautiful, still do not do the home full justice. You truly feel like you are staying at someone’s beautifully designed home, not a rental property. The kitchen is absolutely fully stocked for anything you could need to cook. The location is so close to downtown sister bay. And the home itself has a longer drive way off they main road so you feel more secluded in the woods and not on a main road. The host was wonderful, no troubles at all but checked in frequently to make sure we were all doing well. Can not speak highly enough about how pleasantly impressed we were with the property! And truly a great host who also had the check out process as easy as can be: Load dishwasher… used towels in showers/tubs and trash to the garbage can. That’s it. Really what a vacation rental should be like, an amazing experience for us! Wish we would have booked longer!

A Quaint Quiet & Beautifully decorated cottage yet close to town!

3 gals on a long weekend getaway LOVED this cottage. It fit us perfectly, and had many details we enjoyed. Although the pictures online are accurate, they just don't do the cabin justice. It's even cuter in person! We loved the sweet welcome basket, the coziness of the cottage, including a gas fireplace at night. Despite it being close to a couple other properties, it really feels separate and gives privacy to your stay. The fire pit area is just as cute with lights strewn and a nice crafted path. We did give some feedback on our inability to locate n'esspresso pods nearby (which was the coffee machine in the cabin). Here's how great the owners are! By the time I arrived home, there was a message that said they were ordering a regular coffee machine as well! Now anyone can purchase coffee, including that wonderful Door County Coffee, and bring it back to the cabin where it is PERFECT for morning or evening! Do pay attention to detail under "house rules" where you need to upload your drivers license and pay a security deposit prior to your arrival or after you book. Also, the driveway can be kind of tight and tricky backing out if there are numerous cars in the adjoined parking lot next to the cabin (there were five when we were there, as it must be a much larger cabin). This is a great cabin where you feel tucked in the woods but you're just a few minutes around the corner to sister bay marina ! We would easily give this stay five stars!!

Great location and space!

I traveled with my adult daughters and this was a perfect spot. It is located close to all of the action of Door Co, but on a fairly secluded lot so you don’t feel overrun by the tourists. The house itself is very well appointed and had all the comforts of home. It shares a driveway with another house but we rarely even knew someone was there. My only complaint is the lack of transparency with pet fees. It advertises that it is pet friendly and there is no mention of a fee prior to booking. Even after booking, the fee is not clearly stated. About 6 days before our stay, my daughter adopted a dog. She asked if dogs were allowed and I noted the house description indicated they were. I read the information from the booking and nowhere did it mention a fee. Upon arrival, the camera doorbell alerted the host that there was a dog in our party and I was sent a bill for $75. I contacted the host who noted that Vrbo doesn’t mention the fee unless a dog is disclosed at the time of booking. While I understand this, the host could certainly include language in their description that would fully disclose the fee before booking. This was the only hiccup in an otherwise wonderful stay. I point it out now to save other pet owners a $75 surprise.

Anniversary

My husband and I usually visit Door County 2-3 times a year, but with a new job, anniversary planning got away from us. We booked a little late in the season and couldn't have been more pleased. The location is incredibly beautiful and wonderfully decorated. We enjoyed a cozy fire in the Adirondack chairs and the crisp fall breeze. It was extraordinary!

Perfect Getaway

Perfect for our needs

We had to attend a family wedding in the Sister Bay area and needed an accommodation that would take a dog. The Birch Cabin was perfect for our needs. Both couples staying having their own bathroom was helpful. We didn't get a chance to use the fire pit area but it looked really nice. Location was central to be able to walk to the docks and shopping if we wanted. Everything went really well...thanks for the nice little welcome basket.

Comfortable and luxury stay

Great stay for a family looking for a comfortable, modern and luxurious stay. My wife, 6 month baby and I stayed for one week and had no issues. There are plenty of amenities including outdoor gas grill, wood fire pit with beautiful over head lights, board games, indoor gas fire place. The bedding was extremely comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend this host and any of their locations if you are looking for a luxurious stay while at Door County.
