Lakeside Villa – Signature Collection
Part of the Signature Collection at Lakeside Getaways, Lakeside Villa offers contemporary design and lakeside tranquility on the secluded shores of Lac McGregor. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the modern, open-concept living spaces to the expansive balcony and deck which invite you to linger out of doors.
The main level includes a modern living room and dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. Also on the main level is a bedroom and bathroom. Downstairs, you will find three additional bedrooms, two bathrooms (one en-suite), a central seating area, and direct access to the lower deck and hot tub area from all three lower level rooms. Large windows in every room ensure the lake and forest remain ever-present. Private outdoor spaces offer plenty of room to unwind.
Lakeside Villa is ideal for both couples and families. It is perfectly situated for four-season fun, close to ski hills, golf courses, horseback riding, and the charming village of Wakefield. You can spend your days paddling on the lake, relaxing in the hot tub, or gathered around the fireplace. This is the place where you and your family will make wonderful memories.

The host, Robin, was pleasant and quick to respond to any inquiries.The house was nicely decorated, clean, well appointed and stocked with everything we needed. The very large fridge/freezer/ice maker and filtered water were a big plus. I think the host thought of everything.The BBQ on the deck off of the kitchen was easily accessible.We enjoyed the lower level covered patio from where we saw deer from time to time.Some in our group used the hot tub and enjoyed it. We had expected to see the lake from the house. The dock is reached by a short path and a boardwalk that is approximately 70’ long. We enjoyed spending time on the dock watching the ducks during the day and looking at stars at night. We made use of the kayak and took turns taking it out as well as a paddle board. The area is quiet for a good night’s sleep.

Girls weekend

Great spot for all my daughters and nieces to meet for a girl weekends. We all had our own rooms so plenty of privacy but many common areas to share stories, plus a hot tub. Thank you for a great stay!

Amazing home!

Robin’s home is well equipped, with many amenities. It is clean, spacious, beautiful. My friend and I had a wonderful stay at this home! Would 100% recommend.

Wonderful modern get-away. Beautiful outdoor venues to sit and relax. Easy to access, very responsive hosts. We were very pleased!

Girls Getaway

Two of our friends were moving back to Calgary and this was our last time to get together before they move. The accommodations were excellent and we had a great time both indoors and outdoors with everything that we would’ve needed right there. The hot tub was fantastic and the kitchen was wonderful, because all five of us love to cook and we had ample space. A wonderful spot for a getaway and I hope to someday be able to return with my family.

Great place for thanksgiving dinner

The kitchen is absolutely perfect for a big dinner, and the hot tub got a lot of use. Lots of wood provided for the fire pit, and great dock plus water vessels. Would highly recommended for a weekend away with a small group

Excellent family time in a beautiful gettaway home

House is beautiful and spotless ! Communication with Robin was great ! We spent couple of days over the Holidays and had everything we needed. Just so you know, the TV is only for internet. No regular chanels. So instead of watching TV all the time We played board games !

Bonding with my 3 sisters

We've been doing this yearly ritual for 33 years now and enjoy a bit of luxuries in the process. We are always renting high end locations with 4 bedrooms, a hot tub, with easy access which is fully furnished and a well stocked kitchen. We found everything we needed here. Kudos!

Modern accommodation

Enjoyed the cleanliness and modern accommodation for 5 adults including 3 adult children each with own bedroom and enough bathrooms. Hot tub was a nice addition though it could be a bit warmer during our drizzly Boxing Day stay.

Nice cottage, lacking some essentials

Nice clean, fairly modern cottage with nice views out the back and a great hot tub and firepit outside.For the quality of the home, the following were lacking- shampoo and conditioner (typically provided in this kind of home)- hair dryer- essentials in the kitchen (oil, basic spices)- the fireplace could've been either a real gas fire with a flame or a real wood fireplace. Instead, it has a faux electric screen of fake flames with gas heater behind.

Perfect getaway from the city!

Celebrated my birthday in this chalet and I couldn’t ask for a better place! There is (more than) enough space for me and my friends. Staying by the lake was very relaxing, we spent a lot of time in the hot tub just chilling. I appreciate that the kitchen is complete with things that we needed for our dinner. Everything is magnificent. Definitely recommend this place!

Great Stay in Canada

We really enjoyed our week in Canada. The house was modern and comfortable. Kitchen is open and nice for cooking. House is much larger on inside than it appears at first. Host is easy to contact. This was the perfect choice for our family. Location on the lake is great, probably very nice in warmer months.

Everyone we dealt with while staying at the property were kind and efficient. Overall, the place looks nice, however, there were some things that needed to be paid closer attention to.The comforter in the master had burn marks on it and had so much pilling that it was in desperate need to be replaced. The towels were just okay. For our second weekend, we brought a duvet and extra towels from home.The place wasn’t as clean as you would expect, my husband and kids found nail clippings on the floor and I ended up vacuuming the whole place before our friends joined us on day 2.We had to get someone to come and clean the hot tub as it was not clean and not balanced when we arrived with four kids who really wanted to use it.The dock was beautiful and the set up was nice, however, there was a floating dock that no one told us anything about and we asked neighbours how we could hook it up and use it. Without the floating dock, it’s difficult to swim as the water is very shallow at the main dock. Lots of lily pads and weeds.There is no view of the lake from the house, unless perhaps you stay there in the fall. The walls and doors were splashed with drinks and quite dirty. There was only one wine glass. We brought glasses from home weekend 2. The AC is on main level and doesn’t reach 3 basement rooms. We will not return to this location and feel it was not quite worth the amount of money that we spent on it. This is the first time I’ve ever left a bad review of a place.

Designer's Dream

This cottage is very well appointed. Fantastic chef's kitchen with a massive fridge/freezer. Bathrooms look like they are out of a magazine. Very impressed with the interior. Exterior has what we were looking for as well with the firepit and hot tub, good access to lake. Would stay again.

Perfect

The house is beautiful and clean. Everything we could need to cook was there. The fridge and the freezer were gigantic. We were really comfortable, there was a lot of space. Big windows with view on the lake, it was beautiful. I recommend 100%. Especially for the price, it was the best and really affordable for what it was.

Modern home with lake access

It’s a beautiful home, very modern and all amenities a family could want or need. Everything as stated was included. It’s also located in a newer part of McGregor Lake. There is a beautiful “boardwalk” through the woods to the lake. Variety of watercraft included to spend hours exploring the lake. The view from the dock is amazing. My family and I had a great time and would definitely recommend. We hope to visit again.

Office Christmas Retreat

Sauvé Law held its Christmas Retreat at this wonderful property Dec 8-10/23. Everything is as pictured and our group of 6 had ample space to do a bit of work and alot of socializing with great food prepared in the beautiful kitchen, a few team building games and competitions or just chilling by the fireplace. The outdoor firepit and hot tub were also enjoyed by all.after a long walk. Check-in and check-out were a breeze with the elctronic system. Robin is a fantastic host, checking in with us to ensure we had all we needed and available to answer any questions. Would definitely recommend this property.

Top of the line VRBO

My family and I just completed a two-week vacation at this top of the line VRBO property in Val des Monts. The positives about this country home are too numerous to state here. Everything listed in the amenities are true. It is beyond well equipped in a relaxed and modern ambiance. We took advantage of the area with a visit to the charming and historic town of Wakefield with its renowned bakery. My grand-daughter raved about Arbraska, a state-of-the-art Zipline and tree-climbing experience, just a short drive away. Best of all, the cottage is in an unspoiled forest area while only a 35 minute drive from Ottawa. The host Robin Nelson is hands on for anything you might need. This unit is quite exceptional and gives new meaning to property through VRBO. We had a wonderful vacation. From Evelyn, Ottawa.

Wonderful stay at Val Des Monts

This is a lovely property about 35 minutes from Ottawa. We were worried that it was a new listing and it seemed very small from the driveway. It was beautiful, clean, spacious and new inside, with all the amenities needed for our stay. The decor was beautiful and the bathrooms with heated floors were amazing. There is a kitchen with a huge refrigerator, a dining area with a large table, a living room with TV, a bedroom and a half bath upstairs. Downstairs there are two bedrooms with double beds, a kids room with bunk beds, two bathrooms, a living room with TV, laundry machines, and plenty of closet space. There are patio doors in every room with nature views. There is a hot tub, fire pit and seating area in the backyard. A short private walk to the back of the property takes you to the lake with amazing views. There are chairs with an umbrella on the lake. There are also paddle boards and kayaks for those interested in water activities. Robin, the property manager was very nice and offered to help of we needed anything. We didn’t need anything, though. We were able to drive up to Ottawa to spend the day and come back to a comfortable home every day. There is a grocery store about 6 minutes away. This is a great place to stay with family and away from the city traffic. There are neighbors since it’s a duplex unit, but it was not a problem. There are mosquitoes in the evenings being close to the water so bug spray is necessary, but it was nice during day time.
