Right on the water — so close, it's like being on a boat — with great view of the harbor. Sit at the table, watching seagulls, bald eagles, osprey, the tide coming in and out — Downeast Maine at its best.

Located in the charming fishing village of Winter Harbor you’ll be enchanted by this cozy and welcoming 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath home. Perched on the water's edge of Henry Cove, this home offers breathtaking views of Schoodic Peninsula and Mark Island. Watch the ferry come and go and get an up-close view of your dinner being caught by local lobstermen right off shore.

This 1000 square foot mid century cottage, boasts panoramic views from nearly every room. You’ll find the house thoughtfully designed and fully appointed for your comfort and enjoyment.

The home is located in the picturesque village of Winter Harbor, a working harbor that offers shops, restaurants, bike and kayak rentals, and access to the Schoodic Peninsula, the only mainland portion of Acadia National Park. Explore Schoodic’s hiking trails, carriage paths and dramatic scenery before taking the seasonal ferry to Bar Harbor to enjoy the day investigating all that Mt. Desert Island has to offer via the Island Explorer bus system. A small grocery store is a short 5 minute walk. A 10 minute walk to several restaurants, the local 5 & 10, several art galleries, coffee shop, and bakery.

Or stay at home, cooking up a seafood feast in our fully equipped kitchen, playing board games, or cozied up reading a good book. For the outdoor enthusiast, this home offers ideal access to hiking, biking and kayaking and for those looking for a different pace it offers the space to reconnect and recharge – inspired by the physical beauty of nature and the comfort of this spectacular home.
Kitchen offers refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee pot, and cookware/dishes/utensils. Bathroom include shower/tub combination and hair dryer. Bidet toilet in the half bath.

Great location with very respectful and responsive host. Would go there again for sure if I were in the area. Only thing that I would love improved is the hot water availability. We were three of us and if everyone showered one after the other, the water would be cold for the last person. Overall was a good stay.

Wonderful place to stay! The view of the ocean from Mona's house is incredible! We enjoyed the town of Winter Harbor also. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone coming to the Acadia area.

Beautiful, spacious cottage!

We had an amazing long weekend at the cottage.Very convenient to Schoodic point and Winter Harbor. It is literally steps away from the water. Beautiful views throughout the day. Very easy access to the ferry over to Bar harbor, which is really fun.

Perfect location!

We loved the location! The house was clean and perfect for our group of 4 adults. It’s beautifully situated on the water and very close to the Schoodic part of Acadia.

Peaceful and Scenic

An amazing cottage for the two of us, in our seventies, on the coast of Maine. The views of the ocean, so very close, were just lovely. Sunrise, sunset, the punctual rise and fall of the tides. It was so quiet and peaceful there. We loved watching the bird activities. Schoodic Peninsula is nearby and the wave breaks there are thrilling to see. Easy drive to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Tidal falls, and really great seafood restaurants. We would definitely like to return and would recommend this location to others.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mona’s property. The surrounding area is beautiful and we enjoyed taking day trips. We had to communicate with the owner and she replied immediately. If we return to the area we will definitely see if this property is available.

Gem in Winter Harbor

So glad we stayed here! Excellent communication with host. We played games at the kitchen table over looking the bay and watched the sunset from the chairs in back yard. The view was beautiful! We liked having 1 1/2 baths to get us out the door quickly, the washer/dryer, as well as a stocked kitchen for making dinner after days out exploring. We found Winter Harbor a perfect location for a long day trip to Mount Desert and Bar Harbor. The Schoodic Peninsula was our favorite side of Acadia and 10 minutes from this place. Winter Harbor had nice places to eat, very friendly residents in town. Close to Corea fishing village for catching lobster on boat tour. Hope to stay here again when in the area.

Great location!

Enjoyed this cottage. Very cozy with beautiful views. Short ride to Schoodic Acadia entrance. Everything you need to feel at home.

Ideal Location …peaceful aura

This sweet cottage is literally a few feet from the high tide water and a short walk to restaurants and the town market. Although the kitchen was well appointed for cooking…we elected to take the 5 minute walk to the Treehouse Seaside Grill both nights…very good! A walk up Schoodic Head, a bike ride around Schoodic loop road and a scenic trip around Grindstone Neck rounded out the day we had in Winter Harbor. We will be back!

The town has little to nothing to it but the house is right on the water and the mornings out there with a some coffee we’re amazing

Winter Harbor is beautiful and quiet but has all the amenities like a grocery store, restaurants, and shops. Easy access to water for kayaking. Many hiking and biking trails as well

This house is about 10 feet from the water's edge so it appears like you are on a boat. Fun to watch seabirds and tide come and go. Especially out "front" in the Adirondack chairs. Cozy and comfortable. A family home.
