Waterfront Cottage with Fast Wifi - Stay a Little Longer

“Stay a Little Longer” at this sweet waterfront home, tucked in the trees for a relaxing, private getaway. Perfect for family bonding, a chill girls’ weekend or a trip all about fishing - our home is set up to accommodate them all. Kayaks, floats, and stand up paddle boards are available for guest use to fully enjoy the lake life!

Enjoy paved roads all the way to the front door (less than 15 minutes to the VIR) of this charming waterfront getaway with high-speed internet (*hard to find around Hyco)! Ample parking is available with a convenient roundabout driveway.

This home sleeps 8 comfortably. As you enter the main level, you will find an open kitchen and cozy dining area (note:indoor fireplace is not for guest use). Two bedrooms (one with a king bed, the other with two double beds) and the home's two bathrooms (one with the washer/dryer) are also on this level. Walk out to the upper deck through the front door to sip your morning coffee as you greet the day and listen to the birds sing - keep your eyes peeled for the resident bald eagles.

The lower level of the home contains a 3rd bedroom (two twins and one double), a family room that is stocked with board games, and a recreation area with air hockey and table tennis that will ensure memories and lots of laughs! A large screen television is provided with access to streaming services including HBO (Max), Prime Video, and Disney+. An additional television is provided in the downstairs bedroom, where you can take a stroll down memory lane with dozens of classic video games on PlayStation2, Nintendo64 and Super Nintendo!

The lower deck serves as an outdoor kitchen and dining room with a gas grill, large outdoor table and fire pit. We recommend turning on the string lights to add to the ambiance of your evening meals.

A meandering set of stairs take you down to the spacious dock house stocked with life jackets, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing poles and floats. There is even space for you to bring your own boat! Jump off the end of the dock, sunbathe, take a swim, or try your hand at catching some fish.

**Clean bed linens will be placed on the appropriate bed.

**While pets are not allowed to accompany our guests, we cannot guarantee that there has not been a pet in the home as we are required by law to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act that requires us to accept service dogs. However, service dogs are defined to be trained to work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The service animal must accompany their owner at all times and may not be left in the home alone.

Optional Boat Rental:
We partner with Hyco Boat Rentals who has pontoon boats available for rent. We have negotiated a special discount with them that we pass along to our guests.

The boats come with lifejackets. Let us know if you are interested and we will help coordinate/provide more information if there is availability.

Boat renters should have previous boating experience and will receive an orientation and safety lesson from the team. Oftentimes the boat can be delivered and picked up directly from the dock!
